  1. Sounds like we're talking about the same basic thing. This is the video which refers to it and that similar past correction: Though I'm kinda souring on that channel as it's a lot of "100x gains!" and "parabolic" and such. And I think largely he pushes whatever new crypto daily because he's already purchased it and his viewers will give it that little bump. I've considered buying whatever he says, taking that little bump and then selling the next day, but it requires buying stuff not for sale on Coinbase and storage gets more complicated off that site. I have a blockchain ETF that I bought at the exact wrong time, and have the Grayscale etherium ETF, but I'll have to compare Grayscale to the regular Coinbase version, as I suspect some of crypto's gains are depressed a little in the Grayscale ETF. Planning on holding onto Vale, a big nickel miner out of Brazil. Mostly waiting on them getting some big contract with an EV company. Despite them recently allowing a dam to break and kill people, they've also been putting a lot of money into environmental standards, and compared to other nickel miners they seem to be the most environmentally friendly miner to capture contracts from EV companies which also want to promote the environmental nature of their product. But crypto otherwise seems to be a good choice if one buys into the idea of coming inflation and a market correction. That or buy the dip in Apple, I guess.
  2. I thought that was more just a British thing, that they liked to do a lot of short-run shows. Of course the downside is shows like "The Detectorists," which you wish could run a lot more years. Great little series.
  3. I always thought that was most of the reason for drafting a running/mobile QB in the first place: You can afford to have more breakdowns in pass protection since your QB can scramble. Plus you can put more attention into finding run-oriented OLinemen than pass-protection ones. Obviously every QB wants amazing protection in front of him, but at the same time would have Seattle won their SB or generally been as dominant if they put more money into linemen instead of the great defensive players that they've had? I think we're all figuring Seattle takes an OL with their first pick. And I wonder if this might change how vocal star QBs are in the future. Will they all speak out more once they get older and stop tolerating all the hits they take? Will it be more common to ask for a trade to a team with a better OL, or when you're a star player on an otherwise-garbage team? If anything I'm surprised star QBs have been as quiet as they've been up to this point, considering franchises really do revolve around them. Star basketball players speak up all the time, yet they're probably less impactful to their team than a QB is to theirs. Replace Rodgers with Foles, or Winston with Brady, and what do you got?
  4. He became an accountant and stole a bunch of money from the company.
  5. Sure glad I at least took some money out a few weeks ago to pay bills. Because yikes. Pro-crypto folks are racing to point out that this drop is identical the the one that happened four years ago before it all really raced up in value. For whatever reason crypto is supposed to be on a four-year cycle, but still, all I could think watching those videos is "So you're telling me that past performance is indicative of future results?"
  6. Probably worth the gamble that someone will want to give up a 2nd for Jones. Next-best FA RB is maybe Kenyan Drake, so a pretty big slide to the #2. I'll be curious if GB would be willing to restructure Rodgers at all. Anything Rodgers agrees to would likely be all about making it harder for GB to trade him and securing the remainder of his contract in GB. Is GB willing to give up that sorta-flexibility?
  7. He's up to 63%. Maybe he reads this thread. He was over 72% the first two seasons. Guessing he'll move towards that as the season progresses. I've always been worried that one of these players will read one of these threads and then I'll feel bad for insulting them. Maybe I should be nicer to our players or at least the ones who are active on Internet forums. Good thing Ben Hendrickson doesn't have a brother who plays basketball or else his father would be on here yelling at us.
  8. I clearly made a mistake in thinking "contender" only meant Superbowl contender and that there would only be four or five teams he'd be choosing from. But really it's just a general pre-compliment and works with all but maybe four or five teams in the League. Obviously he just hates shoveling his driveway all the time and I think we can all understand that.
  9. That's a great show and an even better movie. Speaking of most-all-improvised, The League is still on Hulu, which I recently re-watched. Another great one and really makes you want to play fantasy football. Having a Shiva and Saco trophy for the winner and loser is a great idea. And the way they handled the Pete character at the end was a really nice touch. Paul Scheer is one of the best improvisers out there.
  10. Miami giving up some pick to get Jones I think would be a good move on their part. Yeah, a pricey RB for a developing team, but there's value to getting Tua sure-fire receivers to really see what he can do and take that "Maybe he just doesn't have enough weapons around him" variable out of the equation. And with Miami maybe moving down they're gonna be loaded and could afford to spend for Jones. And Jones would fit great in Miami. If we could actually get a 2nd for Jones (that seems high, though) and traded back, having three 2nds would be great. I keep seeing GB trading down. They've got a need for three more immediate starters but at the same time no need for the superstar kind of starter. I still think they'd be fine to wait another year to draft high on a WR with Funchess coming back, but then maybe Gute is at least feeling some pressure to finally draft one high. Although this year there's sure a good few of them who'd be available. The guy from Perdue could be interesting not as a 70-catch guy but more the dynamic threat to take some heat off of Adams. I could see him with a high YPC but also only 40 receptions on the season. I see the Packers being mocked a LB a lot, but that seems a lot more like a luxury pick than a need pick. CB and OT seem like more immediate needs. Is re-signing King going to be expensive that re-signing him isn't realistic? I can't imagine re-signing Sullivan to go cheaper and making him the starter is a realistic option.
  11. Superstore is an odd show. When it sticks to what it does it can be really funny. But particularly this season some of the episodes can be sooooooo preachy to be unwatchable. It's flipped the script to where Jonah has become the reasonable, grounded character and everyone else is Jonah.
  12. Same if we ended up starting a lesser CB there, too. T-Buck is only 49. Maybe he has some wheels left.
  13. When I used to bet it was always my position that I would only ever bet on the losing end for a favorite team. I figured that strategy removed the homerism. Somewhat evened-out the disappointment, too.
  14. It also makes less sense to pay one guy big money in a year when there's probably going to be a lot of talent getting waived to clear cap space. Of course there's nothing saying his number is $15M. If he signs for $8M somewhere else I'd be a little more frustrated, though. Yep, just convincing myself that Watt would actually be a bad signing. You're just not a Packers fan if you can't convince yourself that any worst-case scenario is actually for the best. I hope Rodgers gets traded soon, Dillon will be an upgrade over Jones, and our line will be great so long as Jenkins plays three positions.
  15. It was always safe to assume that Watt would get bigger offers than the Packers would probably be willing to pay. If you're a not-as-sure SB team like Miami or Cleveland, more money is their only real card to play. And heck, maybe he already has his destination team chosen and all these rumors are being released by his agent just to up the offer from that team. I'm surprised Pittsburg is out, but with Rothlisberger retiring maybe after next season maybe that means Watt is looking for a longer-term end-my-career-here type of deal with more guarantees.
  16. I'd race to give NE a 3rd rounder for Gillmore. Though I figure that would have to be a 3+ just to best anyone else who'd offer a 3rd rounder.
  17. Friend of mine had the Wii with his three young kids. I asked him why he chose that console and he said there's handicaps built into the games and so he can still try as hard as he can yet the final result is always close. I would presume that feature is built into the Switch, too.
  18. I read somewhere that for every PS5 they're selling, they're only selling 0.3 PS5 games. Looks like lots of people are buying 20 consoles at a time and then trying to re-sell them for $1000.
  19. I am, but they're still going for $275 at Gamestop, and that's pretty ridiculous when a Digital PS5 is $400. But maybe once Playstation stops doing this artificial scarcity with the new system, used PS4 prices will finally drop. I'm in no big hurry. "For Jackbox games, you can also get a Steam account (they are free). It runs on a PC and maybe other platforms (I use a PC)." Yeah that's been a consideration. Of course only after I'd paid for the streaming stick tv version. Once PS4 prices drop down to normal levels it'll be worth the slight additional cost because in front of a video game system is a more comfortable environment for everyone than in front of the computer.
  20. Want to get a PS4 for my brother. The parents live nearby him. That way we can all play Jackbox Party Pack together. It would be a fun family kinda thing. But it looks like with PS4 backstocks low the price on them is too high to be worth buying. I may end up getting a PS5 just so I can send my brother my current PS4, at least when stocks of the PS5 become available. I don't really want a PS5, though.
  21. Planned commercial kitchen? Nope, they're full. Gotta get the one 2 hours away. Sell my hot dogs in the State Parks? Nope, state-wide email sent out saying I can't. Trailer insurance? Allstate won't do it and it seems no other company wants to cover a trailer alone.
  22. I think you just described Thon Maker.
  23. Oof. I'm down 11% yesterday and -13% so far today. BNGO got downgraded and that cost me. And then Elon Musk opens his big mouth and says crypto is high-priced.
  24. Through my job I've known a few couples who managed to RV long-term, but it's very few. And a good-sized RV can be really expensive, too. And if you're thinking of camp-hosting in National Parks, get on that waiting list about 10 years in advance. I was told by a long-term RV couple that the key is to get a hobby or other regular activity and leave for good periods of the day.
  25. My father told me he's getting four calls per day to sell his house in Scottsdale and it's not even on the market. But they don't have any real need for the money, so they won't be selling it despite being able to get a stupid price for it. But it'll be on the market five minutes after they die or else go toward nursing home costs.
