To be blunt, the idea of selling seats so bad no one sits in them, and just use them to gain entry and/or a promo item, seems kind of minor league. I think it's a wise use of resources to give everyone, regardless of income, the opportunity to attend a Brewers game. The Brewers could not support themselves without draining resources that would have gone to maintain public services like parks. They should have people who would otherwise be hanging out in parks at their games and they do. If the Brewers start acting like something they are not, a self-sufficient entity that can afford to be greedy, I think they'll hasten a dropoff in popularity like the ones that that befell the Braves and the post-WS Brewers. Traditions like the Eucker seats are good things that distinguish the Brewers from the greedy Yankees, Sawx and Cubs. The Steinbrenner seat pricing structure is something to be ashamed of. Hopefully the Brewers will not try to too closely ape big boy seat pricing. They can win with a minimal charge for those 106 obstructed view seats that get some people into the park who would otherwise not get to go.
