  1. Nothing has changed since we had this topic before, and before that. Nobody has come up with a solution, because it's impossible. Doesn't matter what the Brewers do, once those tix are sold, Cubs fans will buy them in the secondary market, that simple.
  2. They opened that new public area just west of the stadium. I doubt the sledding hill will be operational since it's gonna be like 87 degrees but might be worth checking out. Titletown Brewing is open over there, of course it will be packed early but just throwing it out there. They've also re-done the buildings and tents in the parking lot on the other side of the stadium. Not sure what direction that even is, but over towards the Resch. Not sure what all goes on there, but when I was there for Family Night I saw tones of people standing in line for a free beef stick, refrigerator magent, or whatever trinkets each booth was giving out.
  3. Yea, except half the time you guys "knew it was coming" it didn't. Which is why they're still in the playoff hunt.
  4. That would be good for your trivia question. Last time Braun has bunted.
  5. Wake me up when something isn't CC's fault. You dont know Thames wouldnt have played rhat ball. In fact, he did the same thing earlier in the game.
  6. That's what has happened since Counsell has iced him out. ABs like that wont help unthaw him.
  7. Concerning that Villar didn't know 1st pitch was a strike
  8. Did you actually find that because I'm pretty sure you can change pitchers whenever you want, except the pitcher has to finish a PA before you can do so. You are correct sir, and that actually happens a decent number of times.
  9. Maverick Kieschnick?
  10. YES So that's why we can't complain when the Brewers trade away a pitcher that's just about to get a big pay day. Better a year or two too early than a year or two too late. It's also why you need to think twice and three times before trading away any pitching prospects. You need a constant stream of pitching, and you never know which ones will pan out. So you need quality AND quantity. Also, agree Guerra can get another chance. (Don't agree he DESERVES another chance, but that's semantics.) He has options left correct? If so, he's a perfect guy to stash in AAA and call-up when needed.
  11. If you look at it this way, it really stands out just how unthinkable it is we're 10 games over .500 at this point. Here's how the rotation and late inning relief looked like going into the season: Guerra Peralta Nelson Garza Davies Anderson Feliz Knebel Barnes Torres
  12. I would think that at this point, both would be available tomorrow. If they had to pitch, they'd definitely not be available Friday, but it's Sept 20th and we have to take 3 from Chicago to have a realistic chance to win the division. I tend to agree, but if one or both don't go, I get that too. Then I expect Hader, Hughes, and Jeffers in late innings.
  13. Hughes will get late inning work if game is close.
  14. I would say 150-160 is about right. If we are in it and have the depth, I would have him start until the all-star break (100ish innings) then switch him to the bullpen role he has now and let Nelson/Burnes/Ortiz/whoever is ready step into his role. If we are out of it, have him start until you shut him down in late August (160ish). If we don't have the depth, start him until the end of july (120), trade for a starter and then bullpen him with lighter use. All in all, it's manageable to get him to 150-160 innings while keeping him useful throughout 2018. Keep in mind Hader will probably go 5 innings most of the time. Throw him on 10 day once or twice and you can get a full year out of him.
  15. Is it better to lose when the other teams win?? Then you actually LOSE ground. Only other option is to win every single game. I get it, this one hurt. But the "taking advantage when other teams lose" thing has never made sense to me.
  16. A wise man once said: "This is A message board, it's called discussion."
  17. The point in your sarcasm doesn't fall on deaf ears, however, excusing a manager who makes questionable decisions on a daily basis, does not take away the fact that he is still making those dumb decisions to the detriment of the team. I get it, we are far better than anyone thought, but that doesn't excuse anyone for hurting our chances. The fact they're 80-70 just might suggest most of the decisions you think are dumb probably are not?
  18. You also keep saying Santana was benched, when he was not. All managers make mistakes, can we wait until CC makes one before we jump all over him?
  19. So the umps and replay center are NOT laying down for us.
