  1. I would think so, it's not like there's a prospect in CF that's blocking him from playing there. They see him every day, so I guess we have to trust the belief he's not a CF. It's early though, we'll see if they move him around. He projects to be a perfect 4/5 OF at the MLB level, and if that's the case he has to be able to play some CF.
  2. Not knowing anything about this park, would this be an upgrade in terns of facilities? More importantly, is it a more neutral park than Brevard (where bats go to die)?
  3. That, and 3 starts is the very definition of small sample. Hence my bad joke about Chase Anderson being the best pitcher in MLB history since he's 0.00 after 2 starts. Back to the positive. TRats beat Cards affiliate yesterday. Enjoy wins against the Cardinals at any level!
  4. But those guys have floors also. With all those tools none of them have put it all together. And with the exception of Taylor none of them have completed a season beyond low A ball. So their ceilings may be high, but floor is low. I think it's just that we're ahead of the curve. Some of those natl sources are behind, and that skews the avg. Good example, no way is Tyrone Taylor s better prospect than Josh Hader. To Reily's point if anything, temptation would be to rate our home grown players higher. We all have our rooting interest in guys we've followed for years.
  5. True. Also Chase Anderson's era this year is 0.00 making him the best pitcher in MLB history.
  6. One solution is to seed lottery teams in reverse order of their record. So first team out of the playoffs gets the #1 pick, and so on. Or, probably more doable, just give every non-playoff team an equal number of balls. That seems to be the easiest and fairest solution. Nothing will stop it completely, but that would help.
  7. Games like this make me ponder back to the days the Brewers destroyed LHP with Braun, Weeks, Hart, Lucroy, etc.
  8. Was Sunday's base hit solid? Not a case where they could change it to an error later? Avoiding a no-hitter or perfect game would be the silver lining of the day.
  9. I understand, but my post was in this IGT specific to today's game. As in "Yes, he sucks, but he did throw a few great games last year when we least expected it, so you never know." I'm open to any and all ideas for Peralta in general. Put him in the pen. Send him to AAA. Not pitcher friendly? Too bad, figure it out. It's a rebuilding year, so it's not like he's ruining any chances of anything. But you just can't have two guys in your rotation that can't get through 3 innings start after start. Young players can't develop if they're down 8-0 consistently. But hey, that's what this season is for. Figure out who is part of the future, and who is not.
  10. Depends who I'm going with. If I'm going with my wife and/or son, I like to sit behind home plate. (True for any baseball game.) But if we go with friends, most of them wouldn't know Jake Gatewood from "Jake from State Farm" so I can't play close attention to the game. That's when we usually get a table or two down the LF/RF lines. That's a really good idea by the TRats by the way. You'll also be happy (or unhappy) to know they have a playground inside the ballpark. And hills to run and roll around on. So your 2 yr old will have a blast. Finally, I was reminded again how lucky we are to have TRats in WI. Just came back from a game at Brevard. Just horrendous experience compared to Appleton.
  11. .500 with very little help from Braun. If Braun's big bat returns, they can hang in around .500 for a while. (Not that Braun will necessarily get much better, but hey this is the positive post thread.)
  12. Peralta is capable of pulling a gem out if his butt on any given start. Not real optimistic, but I won't be able to watch it anyhow.
  13. Screenshot?? Come on man! Sorry, was watching game on TV, no screen shot. You were back there for the entire post game interviews with Sunday and Jeffress.
  14. Use whatever cap you want, as long as Garza isn't wearing one.
  15. I don't either. I wouldn't even mind them taking Stone there. Boom or bust. An athletic 7 footer, not sure about his head, but when I see a few of the names available around 10 they're all meh. So you may as well go for high ceiling.
  16. That's right! 100 wins still in play.
  17. I think it's fair to throw peds out there, since he been caught before.
  18. If you guessed Augie would butcher Hazelbaker's name.....you win! But don't Pat yourself on the back. Odds were about 500 million to 1 that he would get it right.
  19. Cool, first game I've been able to watch this season. Picked a good one!
  20. Only 8th game, but if fat Adams hits a hr, I don't know if I can take another 154
  21. Probably not smart Rivera, but man is that guy smooth
  22. Not classy for Sunday to hit a 440 bomb to dead center
