  1. Correct. Honestly, I'm surprised there's so much debate about this. ARam is a veteran bat that has some value. Enough value for someone to trade for? Maybe. And if they are able to trade him they will get a "decent" prospect or two. Nobody that will make the top 25 list we're working on now over in the minor league forum. But still a trade worth making if anyone wants him.
  2. Don't you need to pre-fund the Ipass account as well? (In addition to the transponder deposit)
  3. It's much further north than Wisc, much longer daylight this time of year (Like Alaska)
  4. Sure, I agree. I just don't expect much in return. Maybe a Demuth, McFarland someone in that range...
  5. Is there a reason why Kirby is not yet on TRats roster? When he signed, it was announced he would start his career in Appleton, and it's been a few days now...
  6. Then I think you'll be disappointed. Can ARam be traded? Probably. But don't expect a nice haul for him.
  7. Nothing has changed in my mind. Couldn't be more excited by every performance likes this he has, but we still have no idea he can do this for an entire season- much less 4-6 seasons and beyond. But at least there is one more guy "out of the blue" that has shown there's a chance he can be a top of the rotation type arm.
  8. How is Falling Skies this season? We watched it from the very beginning, but finally gave up in the middle of last season. Just got way to far out there. But judging from the commercials, looks like it may be back to more battles, less sci-fi? I plan to binge watch the last season since we've already put so much time into it. (We also watch Last Ship...it's ok.) Does anyone watch Tyrant? Pleasantly surprised, one of those shows I look forward to the next episode.
  9. Sort of surprised so many people have left Jason Rogers off their list. Was actually hitting pretty well in Milwaukee until his ABs dwindled down. Now he's back raking in AAA. I get defense will be an issue for him, but his bat is legit.
  10. Favre and Packers management were both right...and they were both wrong. The whole thing could have been handled better by both sides, yes maybe moreso by Favre. But the guy could still obviously play, so hard to say he was wrong for doing so. I hated that all scene, how he played for the Vikings, etc. But enough time has gone by that I can forgive. I watched all the footage over the weekend, and it reminded me how exciting he was. And, after all is said and done, Ron Wolf and Brett Favre are the reasons why the Packers are in the position they are today.
  11. 1. Arcia 2. J. Lopez 3. Lara 4. Devin Williams 5. Trent Clark 6. Medeiros 7. Coulter 8. Jason Rogers 9. Diplan 10. Tyler Wagner 11. Kirby 12. Cravy 13. Sneed 14. Ponce 15. Orimoloye 16. Roache 17. Tyrone Taylor 18. Monte Harrison 19. N Ramirez 20. Reed 21. Jorge Ortega 22 Carlos Leal 23. Jake Gatewood 24. Brandon Diaz 25. Carlos Luna Next 6: Y Rivera, Denson, Perry, Segovia, Stokes, Iskendarian. *Taylor Williams? Fear he could be headed for TJ, keeping him off my list until he's healthy. Also, kept off: Knebel, Goforth, Magnifico, Ross, Wang simply because they project as relievers. Nothing wrong with that, just too much talent right now on the list that project as full time starters. Feel free to question, I'm already questioning my own list myself...
  12. Harrison with 4 BB in one game, this after raking for a good week or so now. Very encouraging.
  13. Two more steps. Milw common council needs to approve. And now assembly vote is far from slam dunk. They're talking next few weeks, not next couple days.
  14. Yea, again, as far as the minor for minor trades it's simple as this. Why would you trade a young average-ish prospect or older AAAA guy at one position for the same thing at another position? I just don't see how that improves your situation.
  15. Or they know there won't be a vote today...
  16. All of that is accurate, and a whole lot of "ifs." (Also, Patrick you are correct- does not need to pass county board.) I'm cautiously optimistic again, but still a whole lot of land mines out there.
  17. Reminder, this is just the first of four steps that need to happen. And Lena Taylor can say deal is done, but this is so close one vote will sway it either way, so in no way am I comfortable the Senate is a done deal. If/when the Senate approves, it still needs to be passed by the state legislature, then the county board, and the city counsel. None of those are rubber stamps. Although there will be more pressure on the county and city to get it done if the state approves.
  18. Actually, the hole isn't there now- ARam is the 3B for the rest of the year, or until he gets traded. Even if he is, the season is lost so Lohse could play 3B and it doesn't matter. Next season, they can move Segura to 3B or try any combination of Rogers, Dominguez, or Perez. I know that doesn't sound great, but I'll ask you this. Do you think you'll get a better prospect than that for Sardinas or Rivera?
  19. I think it comes down to trading equal talent in the minors doesn't accomplish anything 99% of the time. If you make a trade like that, you end up in the same position you started. Sure, the positions may be different but the talent is the same. And for me personally, I don't pay much attention to position. Look at 1B a few years ago. This would have fit your argument. They had Gamel, Green, and Morris...in the high minors and other legit temporary solutions. . Guess what? None of them panned out. So the depth you think you have at a position can change very quickly. At SS for example, Rivera and Sardinas are nice players but are in no way proven to be every day starters. Arcia may very well be. After that, you have extremely young players that may never see the show- or may need to change positions anyhow as they develop.
  20. Denson is repeating that level though, and has been missed a lot of games due to injury. I'm not giving up on him, as the organization is largely void of power these days. But as you said, Perry is hitting right out of the gate which always gets my attention. May mean nothing, I just like to see guys break out the first year they're promoted to the next level. Even when that next level is the first level of pro ball.
  21. With the expanded playoff system, there aren't too many teams out of the race in Aug/Sept. So I don't think this is as big a problem as you think.
  22. I want to see one or two starts from Wagner, Lopez, Suter. I want to see Chapman, Ross, and Magnifico get a few opportunities out of the pen. I want to see Rivera get a September call-up and 50 ABs. I want to see Rogers get some extended playing time/ ABs. I'm sure I'm missing somebody, but that's off the top of my head.
  23. I should have added this. Dominant bullpen usually goes hand and hand with good starting pitching. If your starters struggle to get through 5 or 6 innings, the bullpen gets stretched thin and your late inning guys are forced to eat up earlier innings, get over-used, and we all know how that ends up.
  24. I think far too often we evaluate players based on OPS from a few years ago. I fall into this trap at times. We need to always remember OPS is down across MLB at every position. In fact, 25 players in the NL have an OPS over .800. Only FIVE are corner OF. Not mentioning this to call you out or anything, just to bolster your point that our old way of thinking doesn't hold up in 2015.
