  1. 2 Questions: If I get the MLB.tv package, will I be able to watch the daytime Brewer games later in the evening, since I'll be at work during the day? 2nd question....will I be able to get the package only for the ST games and end it come April?
  2. I can actually see 30 sb's more so than the 30 HR's. I have a feeling that Yost is just Jonesing to steal bases this year....we'll see what happens. It could happen though, I'd say its about a 30% chance for a 30/30 year.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

  4. "Kendall. I'd rather C was not a complete black hole offensively. Even a .340 OBP would make me happy enough with him. Plus it would shut up the Cub fans who talk so much smack about how bad he is." Ender, I couldn't agree with you more. Kendell had Lasix eye surgery this offseason, and it was reported that he's said that he's seeing like an 18 year old. With that said, I have a feeling a lot of Cubs fans are going to be feeling quite small this year. (hopefully his right shoulder feels like 18 as well) Other than Kendell, my vote is going to be Cappy. He's rehab'd nicely after his off season surgery and prime for a big "shut the hell up critics" year. He's gotta be in the 5 SP's to start the year IMO. I actually think that Cappy might win the Comeback Player of the Year award come October.
  5. If Cameron hits in front of Fielder, then yes, he will hit 20. If not.....he won't.
  6. I would hit Cameron in the #3 spot as Braun would see better pitches in front of Cameron instead of Hardy. For the first 25 games though, to get Hardy off to a good start, sure.....hit Hardy in the #3. Then again, for the first 25 games, anyone who hits in front of Fielder is going to get off to a good start. Maybe for that reason, you hit Hall in the #3 for the first 25 games...... Nontheless, this is an interesting idea that Management is pondering. It's definitely worth a look at. Isn't that what ST is all about????
  7. that's perfect....thanks!! If there are any more out there, please add them.
  8. I'm trying to find other teams in the NL Central's fan forum sites like Brewerfan.net, primarily Cubs sites....Got any good ones to suggest. I just want to keep tabs on our fellow rivarlies and their fans discussions. I'm not looking for the MLB.COM fan forums or ESPN's...CBS.Sportsline.... I'm looking for one's like Brewerfan.net. Please offer suggestions....... Thanks in advance.
  9. Steve Stone is almost as idiotic as the guy from ESPN who ranked the Crew as the 29th in MLB.
  10. Kurt, I like your enthusiasm!!!!!!! This is OUR year!!!! GO BREWERS!!!!
  11. If Fielder is protected by Braun in the line-up, then I could see Fielder hitting 60 someday. With Braun protected by Fielder, then I could see Braun hitting 55 tops...I don't see #8 hitting 60 ever in his career. Fielder though definetly has a GOOD chance.
  12. I knew I liked this guy....this seals the deal though.
  13. I was listening to Haudricourt on the Homer Show this afternoon saying that Melvin told Haudricourt that Yost's option was picked up almost a year ago, it was just never released....actually, DM said that he "must have forgotten to release it."(Haudricourt). Whatever....Yost better man up this year, that's all I'm saying. I would hate for this team and our fans to be crushed because of Yost's shortcomings as a Manager. This is OUR year!!! Go Brewers!!!
  14. Well, I would like to congratulate DM for trading for Lee. The Crew has definitely won out in that trade over the long haul. Even w/losing Coco this year, we without a doubt got more out of that trade than the Sox. Keep it up DM !!!!!

  17. A couple of years ago, I would have said Pujols. Last year, Braun put up similar numbers to that of Pujol's rookie year. If Braun continues at this pace....Braun wouldn't be that bad of a pick. However, I gotta go with A Rod. That man is a beast. Notables who missed the cut... Reyes, Fielder, Yovani (Yovant's got that "it" factor), Matt Holliday, Johan Santana.
  18. I seem to recall that Bush was quite stellar, or even kept us in the game until at least the 7th. Yost would keep him in thinking that he'd get us to the 8th, but before that happened, Bush would give up a 1 to 3 run HR in the 7th....either taking us out of a game or letting the other team make it a game in which we'd have to rely on TBow/Coco not freakin out on us. It was like he had a curse with the 7th inning.....very creepy.
  19. Ed Sprague is now the Owner of the Stockton Ports (California league baseball club). His wife owns a differnt club in the same league called the Lodi Crushers. 20. I'd rather have Vargas, Cappy or Bush than Josh Fogg.....nonetheless, it doesn't sound like a pot of gold is waiting for us with the Twins....thanks for the feedback.
  21. With Santana leaving, the Twins are in need of SP. We have excess SP as everyone is aware of. I looked at the Twins current depth chart and didn't see anything that the Crew could really use right now, but what about there farm club??? Do the Twins have any lefties relievers or SP...or even a young Catcher that they'd want to get rid of for: Bush or Vargas? Twins are jonesing for a SP and I think that the Crew could land some decent prospects from them. Your thoughts?
  22. adambr2 said... "Honestly, I was a big Yost fan until '07. He lost me last year. I hope his team puts it together in '08. " ......dispite Yost's shortcomings at being a manager, of course. Let's just all hope that Simmons does a little magic act and use Yost as his puppet. Seriously, with a payroll of $73-$78 million......you need a top of the line Manager. Yost just doesn't cut it. I like the guy, but he just doesn't have the know-how to do so. The Brewers are simply one of the best teams in the NL...(man, it's nice to say that). We're getting in the playoffs this year, and it ain't going to be because of Yost's unbelievable turn-around of coaching ability. It's going to be Weeks tearing it up to new heights, YoGo amazing us with his youthful dominance, of Hart's rise to becoming a household name, Braun and Fielder doing what they do---which is just unGodly awesome to watch. I digress... We're making the playoffs this year and it AIN'T going to be because of Yost.... This is OUR year!!!! GO BREWERS!!!!
  23. I miss Matt Vas.cure.sion (phonetics). Anderson is too dry for me.
  24. All I gotta say is this has been a fun thread to read. You all bring a lot of knowledge and very sharp opinions to this site, and for that, I thank you. I'll have to go with Gagne. Doug Melvin is a genius to sign this kid to one year. Like someone said earlier, this is his 2nd year back from surgery and he's feeling great. Gagne is out to prove to everyone that he's still a prime closer and he'll be seeking the mass bling. Can you say....Scott Boras? Gagne can, thus resulting in Gagne absolutely raking this year.
  25. If we get swept in the first series, or play bad to start the season...Changes won't be made until around July1st. Management isn't going to axe Yost when Cameron hasn't even played yet. Besides...we're too good of a team to start the season off poorly. This is OUR year!!! Go CREW!!!
