    Weeks Gamel Braun Ramirez Hart Lucroy Morgan Gonzales Pitcher Maybe flip Morgan and Lucroy. I think Gamel will be a better hitter than Morgan and I like Morgan's speed and small ball approach better in the bottom of the lineup. I hate to see outs wasted.

    I can completely understand watching ESPN years and years ago but with all the information out there on the net I don't see how anybody would even bother with ESPN anymore. Maybe the magazine for toilet reading but nothing else.

    Their omission speaks volumes. This is the first person in known MLB history to win a drug appeal. If this was a Yankee or Red Sox player they would dedicate an entire 30 minute section to them, just as they would if Braun lost his appeal. That is because like any other story, ESPN is catering to their audience and they don't' care about Wisconsin or the Brewers anywhere near as much as they do the coasts. That is where their viewership is. You seem to be asking them to apologize for pandering to the majority of their viewership. It seems like Braun got off on a technicality and we will never know for sure if he really cheated. I heard on Homer on the way home that one of ESPN's people said he should be treated like he never failed a test because if he had won his appeal we would never have even heard about it. This I agree with, however it will always be in the back of my mind that Braun failed a test.

    The fact is that Braun's sample had a high level of testosterone.     For what exactly? They had a source that said Braun failed a test. He had a positive sample which would indicate a failed test. What did they do wrong?

    I wasn't going to look it up and pretend he learned something at some point last year. So much for that.

    I don't recall him sac bunting much but that may be my bad recollection because I really want to like him. Maybe it isn't something to worry much about. That is the second time I have cringed at how he is thinking and we are not even to position players reporting.

    That is quite a bit of weight especially for a guy like you said, "never appeared 'soft' or overweight." I have tried to steer clear of this tread as much as possible since the Gamel at 3B instead of McGehee thread last year. Yeah, I really like Gamel. Yeah reading comprehension not so good at this time of the day.

    Wow, that is a good amount of weight. Is that from his playing weight last year or his end of the year weight? I thought he lost weight before the start of last year as well. I would have guessed .350/.450 so that isn't to far off. That would be a pretty similar batting line to Weeks. I guess 6th wouldn't be that bad but 8th would be horrible.

    I would take a World Series over Braun being cleared. Maybe he should sit part of the season so he isn't so nicked up going into the post season.

    I am sure most managers would go with Axford in the 9th. I am not sure they would designate an 8th inning guy let alone a 7th inning guy. I hope the manager won't designate a 7th inning guy. That is backwards thinking in my opinion. You should build a good team and find somebody who will get the most out of it, not find a guy and protect him from himself.

    Yeah I am not to happy about multiplayer in an RPG. I definitely has more of an RPG lean than Borderlands. I am sure the game will be good but I also hope they do not take out much more of the RPG elements. They really dumbed down the RPG parts.

    I never really thought of ME as a shooter but I guess it is. It is a really easy shooter. It doesn't rely to much on fast reflexes.

    I would hope outside of the closer a reliever's confidence isn't so fragile they can't be told "be ready anytime after the 6th." Most relievers can get through an inning without giving up runs if they start with the bases empty a large percentage of the time. I would rather have an ace reliever available when your starter is gassed and loading the bases instead of holding them back till the 8th or 9th after the game is already lost. So I feel it is kind of a waste to pigeonhole relievers into innings. Unfortunately most managers are going to designate a closer and relegate him to the 9th inning when the team is up by 3 or fewer runs. I don't like it but that seems to be the way most operate. I really don't like holding back more and more relievers till later in the game. Why should we have to make the bullpen manager proof? On the other hand I am not advocating the manager being as extreme as LaRussa. That guy had issues.

    I bugs me a little bit that there might be a "7th inning guy." I hope the manager focuses on matchups. It is bad enough we will have designated guys for the 8th and 9th innings.

    He may have. Gredo definitely shoots first in the special edition. I have to give the guy a pass. He was fighting a Jedi. Not one of the original trilogy Jedi, an actual trained Jedi. He would have escaped Mace if his jetpack had not been damaged.

    This was a big shock to me. I usually at least look at most topics even if I don't read them all the way through. I know that the moderators were displeased with Yuku.

    And yet there are some people actually scared that Corey Patterson, who over roughly the same amount of time in the league has a WAR of 11.5 to Branyan's 11.9 makes the big league team on a minor league deal. WAR is a counting stat and Patterson had basically 2 extra years of PA to accumulate that WAR.

    I always thought it was Greedo that drew his gun first, but Han was quicker on the draw. Greedo has his gun drawn and pointed at Han through the whole conversation. So when Greedo was shot, he instinctively fired before he had the gun fully aimed (explaining the easy miss). Just to clarify and please correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like you are saying Han shot Greedo then Greedo shot his blaster.

    George Lucas says Greedo shot first. Seriously? Greedo was like 3 feet away pointing his blaster at Han and he missed. I am surprised Greedo didn't accidentally shoot himself.
