    Sucks we only have one back up middle infielder. Why again did we get rid of Inglett? Our bench set up is just dumb. 2 back up 1B that have been platooning in RF. One middle infielder. At least we have a back up outfielder now with Boggs.

    Maybe but in general it seems like MLB salaries for the top players have sort of plateaued and salaries for not quite top players have dropped.

    That is what I was thinking. These will be Braun's age 31-36 seasons. Not really years I would want to pay much for. The only thing I can think of is they know something about the next CBA we don't. Hopefully there will be some changes shrinking the gap between big market and small/mid market teams.

    Morgan is a better hitter against RHP than Hart. I would rather get Morgan the extra PA against righties.

    From the article I think they are worried about some clubs not paying for it and just using free sourced stats from the amateur sabermetric community. I think they said there is something like 2 terabytes of data per game. It sometimes picks up seagulls, guys in the on deck circle and cotton candy vendors. So I would guess only some of that actually should be useful.

    Well bunting helped Gomez get that hit.

    It seems like 3B and 1B are playing at least even with the bases for Gomez. Most of the time at the edge of the infield grass. I don't think he should be bunting if they are playing in. He has a much better chance to bunt for a hit if they play back.

    It wouldn't be a problem except they are on tv when people want to watch the Brewers. This is the first "I hate/don't care about the bucks/NBA" I remember so I would hardly call it regular.

    I personally would love to see a straight platoon with Counsell but I don't think he can handle it. Trip R has made mistake after mistake this season with position players. Right now he is backed into a corner without Morgan but he didn't do a good job when he had options. We have 3 1B on our roster right now and I put keeping Almonte at the very least at his feet. Kotsay may or may not have been his choice but considering Morgan's playing time, I think he is at least partially to blame.

    Yeah I think there will be some surprises for people who have not read the books.

    I don't really think it is bad luck. He makes bad contact. Most of those long hits are not line drives, they are fly balls.

    I completely lost the game at the start of the 7th inning. I taking 2 of 3 from the Phillies on the road takes some of the sting out of getting swept by the Nats.
