    McGehee dropped of significantly in 2010 on offense. He could fall off even further. He is a little above average as a hitter, not fantastic. He is what he is, a solid 3B that should be replaced if something better comes along.

    Counsell can't really be the big half of a platoon at this point. If he could, SS wouldn't be much of a problem.

    McGehee has been fantastic offensively and at least serviceable defensively plus he's under team control through 2014. He has been just ok offensively not fantastic and below average defensively. He is what he is, a decent long term option at 3B. He could still fall off offensively. He did the year before. Not a guy you are looking to upgrade but if somebody comes along you upgrade.

    I wish Melvin would have went after Dye or Glaus instead of Kotsay. I wish Melvin would have kept Dickerson and cut Kotsay. I didn't know they even said that on Dodgeball. The phrase predates Dodgeball by at least 15 years since I had heard it before college. Yeah I figured,. I was just a little confused why it was connected to Dodgeball for some reason.

    He did nothing differently in spring training and he's done nothing different so far in the regular season. Gave JS something to write about.Good thing I never believed The JS then. Agree. Agree. Disagree. Roenicke really doesn't have much for options. I would have preferred to see Counsell get a start though. To early to see how he will handle it. I hate RRR for starting Kotsay over Morgan. Most of the criticism in this thread isn't new. We knew our defense would be bad and many if not most thought Betancourt and Kotsay should be replaced and Gomez should be in a platoon.

    Can we please not use this phrase. Yes, Dodgeball is a hilarious movie, but it's perhaps the most annoying cliche used on brewerfan.net. I almost made a post the other day asking the over/under for first time that annoying phrase is used this season I didn't know they even said that on Dodgeball. The really sad part is this is what Melvin should have been doing this offseason instead of signing a guy like Kotsay and trading Dickerson for a guy the Yankees were probably going to cut.

    Kind of a big deal. It is very important to win as many games as possible against the Reds. Just because it didn't matter last year for the Reds vs the Cards doesn't mean it doesn't matter this year for us.

    That is why I started scoring the games when I went. I forces you to actually pay attention. I find it very difficult to score when I drink to much. Of course I rarely drink more than one or two at games anymore.

    Have to agree with this. Tailgating is half the experience of Miller Park.

    With the 360 and Wii we have a dozen rechargable AA batteries and just swap them out whenever they run out. Super easy. Haven't bought batteries for it in years. I really don't want to spend the extra money nor do I feel I should have to just to charge a controler. Seems like a big oversight by Sony. I hate batteries in electronics that can't be changed without tools.

    We are now a 3 console family. My first impressions of the PS3 are it's ok. I hate how the controllers charge. Have to have it turned on. Super lame. With the other 2 consoles if the batteries run out you just put new ones in. I really liked Dragon Age 2. The mage didn't seem as overpowered as in DA:O. It was still pretty strong though. On the second play through it is interesting to see how your imported saves change things in the game. Nothing really big just a few different people you meet in Kirkwall.

    That is not true at all. I am eager to stop bagging on Betancourt and I will as soon as he is replaced. I know his range is the problem but nobody has come up with a good nickname to accurately describe that so YunE-6 lives on. I would give most posters here more credit than that.

    That's is how I feel honestly. I think it is nitpicking to call YunE-6 a bad nickname because it doesn't accurately describe him. He's a bad defender and YunE-6 pretty clearly spells that out.

    Wish I was staying home but I don't have enough vacation. I will have to settle for a baseball blackout until I get home from work and watch it on Tivo.

    Looking at Kotsay and Morgan over the last 3 years they are closer than I originally thought on offense. However Morgan is really brought down by last year. Depending on whether or not that is his true talent they are pretty close on offense, maybe. Other than last year though Morgan is clearly a superior hitter. I would operate under the assumption last year was a down year for Morgan. Even if you consider them equal hitters, Morgan is easily a better defender.

    Nah, YunE-6 rolls off the tongue better. Alcides E6cobar is a little unwieldy. Besides, Escobar doesn't play for us anymore so I really couldn't care less how he does especially now that he is in the AL. Call him whatever you want.

    If the throwing arm is a problem put Gomez in right and Morgan in CF. Heck shift Braun over to right if need be. Anything but Kotsay. Going with Kotsay and Betancourt is like driving 200 miles to Milwaukee to see a ballgame and turning around with the ballpark in sight.

    Kotsay starting is definitely a really bad move. I have no idea what is going on there. Kotsay has literally shown nothing over the last 3 years that would make me think he should be on our team as a backup let alone starting. YunE-6 just sounds good.

    Problem is that Gomez kind of sucks against LHP too.

    I would be more concerned with how ofter he went over 115-120 pitches than average pitches. I would also put part of the blame on the GM for pitch counts. He didn't have the typical "blew out his arm and needs TJ surgery" injuries you would expect though.
