  1. League average catcher .259/.328/.393/.721 Kendall .246/.331/.323/.656 Add good defense and I don't think he is to far off league average which is more than we can say about our other options.
  2. Newsweek seems to think nobody should. http://www.newsweek.com/id/150240/&GT1=43002
  3. The only thing I never liked about being single is lack of regular sex. That and once you reach a certain point most of your friends are married and you become that "old creepy guy" at the bar.
  4. AC Slater accomplished the impossible in Saved by the Bell by lettering in track, wrestling, football, basketball and volleyball all in the same academic year That's not to far fetched depending on when volleyball is and the letter requirements for each sport.
  5. Considering how badly we got beaten in almost every game, I doubt that anything either manager did had much bearing on the outcome of the games.
  6. I feel like Brewer nation got treated like a human sacrifice over the last week. Treated like a king for a while, and then kicked into the volcano.
  7. No doubt. Real food costs more than what my diet would consist of if I wasn't married.
  8. You must have missed the post game show where the players announced they had voted and the season is over. "We just don't expect to win again." Braun "It is obvious I need to change to an all meat and Dorrito diet and cut out the veggies. I doubt I can keep up my last 2 months of hitting and the first month of the season is how well I can truly hit. I just need to change my diet and get ready to win next year." Fielder "My whole goal was to reach an all star game so I could say that all I have done is hit and go to all star games at every level I have played at." Hart "We really only have 2 good pitchers on our staff so we should lose 60% of our games. I wish Doug had made a better pitching staff for me." Yost Edit: "It's division or bust and it's pretty aparent that we just can't beat the Cubs. Those wild card teams never make the playoffs anyway." Sheets
  9. I just don't like how my wife tries to project her crazy on me by telling me I am doing something crazy only to find her doing the same thing a couple weeks later. Then of course she just giggles and admits I was right in the first place.
  10. The really strange thing is that the splits from 2005-2007 seem to indicate that Weeks should face RHP and Durham LHP if they should even be platooned at all.
  11. I always think of something like that as "our guy is bad so he must be the worst in the league or different must be better." Much like our apparent lack of fundamentals.
  12. I only get to a few games a year and I prefer not having to deal with drunk or obnoxious people while at games. I am not saying all Cubs fans are bad, just that Cubs/Brewers games have a higher chance for encountering obnoxious people.
  13. This thread originally started when Braun hit a homer in St. Louis that some fans, myself included, thought was just barely out. Many thought he should have been running out of the box in case it didn't go out. It has obviously evolved beyond that. I would prefer to see all players put their head down and run until there is a homerun signal. I don't like players showing up the other team, but I am not going to get on a player for showing emotion.
  14. What I consider outlandish is trying to ignore 1300+PA in favor of 400. Despite Weeks current season suppressing his overall stats, he still has a similar career OPS to Durham.
  15. Nice job of pandering to the masses there by Ton H.
  16. Nah, TLB is pretty fair with Yost. Doesn't like him and thinks we can do better, but pretty fair.
  17. That arguement doesn't work as we can go back to just this weekend and see Durham's lack of range cost us a hit.
  18. Since we bring up Lou Pinella, is starting Reed Johnson over Fukudome a good idea? I know CC kills lefties so maybe it is.
  19. Set up a tent on the front lawn and inform them that is where they will be sleeping. Better yet a couple cots with no roof. Give them a bucket to bathe in. That's what I would do anyway, only if I knew they would take it as a joke though.
  20. I never liked this signing and still don't. I always said we wouldn't want to trade him if he was doing well and wouldn't be able to trade him if he wasn't doing well. I know we paid market value, but we are not a team that should be doing much in the free agent market because "market value" doesn't get you good talent for your money. I say keep him for the duration of his contract unless we have somebody who absolutely should be starting. He fills out the rotation untill we can get somebody better.
  21. Trading Fielder, in my mind, is dependent on what you see next year's team doing. If you think the rotation is taking a huge step back, I think it is a good idea to trade Fielder. I know we don't have a backup ready right now to like we would have had if LaPorta was still in the organization. Gamel has much more value at 3B if he can stick there. I really believe that next season is a step back with Gallardo getting back up to snuff and Sheets/CC both leaving. I think it would be best to take a small step back next year by trading Fielder for something that can help us in 2010.
  22. No because I am not a people person.
  23. If you do anything outside, make sure not to get sunburned. I know that sounds obvious, but the rest of the night would suck if you get sunburned.
  24. I think a case could be made that Yost is the best manager in the division. I know that doesn't say much about MLB managers in general.
