  1. For someone who seemingly cares only about the present and winning games in the current season, it's very odd to see you pine for Scooter Gennett as though he's some key, win now player. You're line of reasoning is really, really hard to read every day coming here. Not really. He likes guys that don't strike out much and put the ball in play a lot regardless of how well they actually hit.
  2. Scooter would be nice filler on a contender. He isn't much use on a building team when you have the option to play a younger player with much higher upside. It would have been nice to get something for Scooter in trade.
  3. You are a funny guy Briggs.
  4. He was never completely healthy and 77 games is to small of a sample to draw any meaningful conclusions. Making any kind of judgement based on last year is misguided at best.
  5. Yeah Santana is really bad in the outfield and he was completely healthy so what he did last year is a good representation of what we should expect out of him.
  6. It's $30 for a 22oz bottle and not worth the price in my opinion. I mean it's a tasty beer and everything but I think the limited distribution creates this exclusivity appeal that outweighs the quality. Not even 22oz last year. 1pint .9oz.
  7. A cell phone is something most people would have anyway so cutting out cable has nothing to do with the cell phone bill.
  8. IPA's are everywhere because they are hard to screw up. The hops can cover a lot of brewing mistakes. They take extra hops but not much else unless it is an IIPA. Bourbon barrel aged beers are definitely about how much space is available and how much they make. New Holland makes a bourbon barrel aged Dragons Milk that I am able to find pretty easily. On the other hand Goose Island has a bourbon barrel aged line of beers they release every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving that is very hard to find. I think Hefeweisse or some of the Belgian styles are a good gateway beer into craft beer. They are not bitter and are usually on the sweet side. Belgian beers are my favorite but they are generally had to find. I think that is because they are probably more expensive to make. They have a larger malt bill and usually involve some kind of simple sugar. They also take a little longer to ferment. Since they don't use a lot to hops it is easier to detect mistakes so they are also a bigger risk.
  9. One other thing I would recommend is buying a powersupply that supplies roughly half again as much power as you need. This leaves room to grow and means it will not be running at max when the computer is. PC Partpicker should let you know how much power you need.
  10. https://pcpartpicker.com/ Good website to help you pick out parts and it will let you know if they are compatible. They also have several parts lists you can look through. The only thing I would say for sure about building a pc is make sure you get a SSD for your primary hard drive. It is the single biggest improvement you can make for a computer. If you want to pick out parts on your owns, start with the processor and the case. The processor you pick will determine the motherboard and RAM you need. The case will also help determine the motherboard size. If you go with Intel go with an i5. Most programs and games are not going to take advantage of what the i7 provides over an i5.
  11. For their career they are practically equal hitting. Neither has had many PA against LHP. 13% of his PA for Scooter and 29% for Lawrie. Lawrie's splits are pretty even. Scooter sucks vs LHP. I think that Lawrie would be a more versatile guy than Scooter since he doesn't have the drastic LHP/RHP split Scooter does. I would rather have Scooter as a left handed bat off the bench but not by much.
  12. Best case is Mike Cameron. That would be terrible.
  13. That has never been my experience unless you are cooking them directly in flame or way overcook them. In fact I just did burgers yesterday and they were nice and juicy.
  14. $82,700 is the minor league minimum if you have one day of service time in the majors.
  15. Honestly sounds like the umpires that are refusing or directed not to enforce the rules already in place are the issue.
  16. Smart people are not alwatys smart.
  17. but he has a name we have heard and was good once a long time ago.
  18. That's a lot to do when all you have to do is unzip and pop out.
  19. Whole butterflied chicken is a good thing to grill in winter. You can put it on for half an hour per side and not worry too much. Very little time spent outside. Butterflying is less work than cutting up the whole thing. If you cook it long enough without burning it, it will fall off the bone.
  20. Braun couldn't field well either. He looked terrible fielding balls as well as throwing. He is athletic but had no fielding instincts.
  21. We said that two years ago. CS is a horrible place to have a AAA affiliate.
  22. Yes, I know. The reason the stats ovef 2015-2016 were better for EE was because his 2015 was much better than Braun's.
  23. Why is EE given a 142wrc+ vs Braun's 131? When Braun higher BA and slightly lower Slg, but OB pretty much the same? Is the Wrc based on the fact of 200+PAs? or that much higher for the little Slg advantage? That is something I wanted to point out. The extra PAs result in more chances of earning WAR. I'm actually surprised the PAs are so little to Encarnacion's advantage because he's played 31 games more than Braun, in the AL and just shy only of 200PAs. There shouldn't be a big advantage with 3rd to 4th as EE batted 3rd this season often. And when you add Braun has 13Sub game ABs while EE has only 2 such. It's really a 42game advantage. So doing the math, I'm shocked it's only about .1 PA a game difference between the two. Especially a good offensive team the last 2 years vs. the Brewers. Well, I'll consider that a lesson for Fantasy baseball. EE had a much better 2015 than Braun. Almost 20 points of OBP and 60 points of SLG.
  24. Yuck. Metallica hasn't come out with anything good since The black album. Their newest is generic crap.
