  1. I use Myspace to keep me informed about my favorite bands, I've got Facebook to destroy my life looking at information about all my friends and strangers.
  2. This situation is such a catch-22. To get to the post season, the Brewers benefit by having a pitcher like Gallardo in their rotation, but this could potentially run his innings total too far up and make it a long term risk to pitch him in the playoffs. Perhaps having Villanueva start a few games instead of Gallardo would keep Gallardo's inning total low enough to be able to have him pitch in the playoffs. This is why Melvin and Yost make the big bucks, decisions like these.
  3. Matty Wise with a save and a hit today, not bad. I guess even a 10-1 isn't good enough for some people....
  4. I've got a feeling Matt Wise won't be shutting up about that hit for a while.
  5. I hope Hernandez stays in this game cause that Diamondbacks bullpen scares me.
  6. Good call on 669 makwaloon. You the man.
  7. Is this one of the signs of the apocalypse?
  8. Over the last couple of weeks or so after listening to all the talking heads and fans talk about the All-Star game and its significance left me with one perplexing question. When the All-Star game in 2002 ended in a tie, why did so many people care when the general consensus is that the All-Star game doesn't mean anything? Because if people were, and still are, all up in arms because the game ended in a tie, then obviously people care about the outcome, which contradicts what seems to be the feelings from most fans.
  9. From what I heard at Summerfest, Reel Big Fish's "Monkeys For Nothin' and the Chimps For Free" should be pretty good. Anberlin's "Cities" was pretty good as well, even though it was just like "Never Take Friendship Personal".
  10. I'd say Dr. Phil, but I'm not ashamed of watching it. It's interesting watching people who have train wreck lives or are completely clueless on how society works. And Dr. Phil holds no punches. I used to watch Oprah more when I was in high school. It used to help me take an afternoon nap.
  11. ...and Tom Gorzelanny looks like a harbor seal. No wonder the Brewers weren't able to club him.
  12. Inspired by this story, I propose something like this for the Brewers. But, instead of walking out, I say that we fill the stadium. Wait, that already happens. Carry on.
  13. Isn't it ironic that Counsell, the whitest person in the stadium, was the first player to drive in a run on Negro League Night?
  14. Opps, sorry about that. I guess I should have read the rules.
  15. These tickets are still available. Get them while the Crew is hot!
  16. I would think a school district would have at least some responsibility for any teacher's conduct as long as the teacher is employed by that district. I totally agree. "School officials can't be responsible for what happens the other hours of the day, and I would think the relationship developed much more outside of school," said Brian Shaw, an attorney for the school district. That's like saying the Tennesse Titans shouldn't be punished for the actions of Adam Jones. The guy is still an employee of the school and his actions represent and reflect upon the disctrict. Don't normal teenage girls, when their track coach starts to come onto them, freak out at the creepy old man making a pass at them? Maybe these two are just made for each other. It sounds like the parents are wondering where their little Windy was blown astray.
  17. Judging by Lincecum's picture, he's a day late. Little league night was last night.
  18. Two tickets available for the Tuesday June 26th game against the Houston Astros. Section 215, Row 17, seats 7 and 8. Price is 32 per ticket. Send me a personal message if interested.
  19. I don't know if anyone else has ever done this, but every time Coco comes in, I end up signing "Coco, Coco Cordero" to the tune of Copa Cabana. I think that should replace Click Click Boom as his music.
  20. Who was that guy managing our team tonight and what did he do with Ned Yost? Since when does Ned go against the almighty contemporary baseball rules about only bringing in your closer to start the 9th? One can only hope that Ned starts to use this practice a little more when the game is on the line like it was tonight. Quite frankly, a save is only a statistic, and if a game is on the line in the 8th, bring in Cordero for the situtation because he should be the best pitcher in your bullpen and what Major League pitcher can't get three batters out starting off an inning?
  21. If the Bucks draft Noah I am officially done with this team. There is no way I can root for a team when one of their player's looks like Michael Jackson. I want to cry every time I see his face.
  22. I don't understand the thinking behind warming up Cordero if Yost didn't plan on using him. Bases loaded, 1 out, still leading by 2 seems like a good place to bring in the closer. It doesn't do much good trying to save the closer for a game that can't be saved.
  23. For a brief second when I looked at the standings and saw an asterisk by some of the teams, I thought they had clinched a playoff spot. Yea, it must be a Monday morning.
  24. Dale Sveum's hands are incessantly in his pants. What is up with that?
  25. Reffing some soccer Could miss some of the game No more to say. End.
