  1. I'm sure the Cubs love getting 2 strikeouts a piece from the top three hitters in their order.
  2. What rain delay? Benny strikes out the side.
  3. He looked like he got all twisted around.
  4. These are the same fans that go wild for a high pop up to 2nd base.
  5. Bill Hall may have changed positions but he still doesn't take the bat off his shoulder.
  6. I wonder if that extra day of rest Zambrano got in the playoffs last year will be a factor today.
  7. The Wrigley Field grounds crew should invest in a shop vac or something. It seems so risky that grounds crew all over the league just push the water into the outfield or off the warning track. Players get hurt slipping in grass.
  8. I had to pause and re-listen to that question myself!! Just a quick peek at the boots, please? When he started that question, I thought that last word was something else.
  9. What did Bill just say to Trenni? Show me your boots?
  10. It must be spring, I just saw and heard my first lightening and thunder http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  11. Wow, the awkward level of the booth with President Bush in it is through the roof. Jon and Joe don't seem to know what to talk about with him at all. As for the Nationals new stadium, something about green outfield walls that make it look unfinished or like PNC Park.
  12. I got a pretty fantastic picture with Bernie Brewer, so I am pleased.
  13. Would a tornado even be possible at Wrigley Field? How can something suck and blow at the same time?
  14. This whole game just doesn't do the Badgers justice because they were a much better team than this this season and could never get any respect and this just plays right into the national media's hand. Not that it really means anything cause who cares what other people think, but it stinks to get disrespected all the time.
  15. I'm not sure what's worse, Len Elmore's obvious lack of knowledge about the Badgers, the announcers' love fest with Curry, or the Badgers play. Well, the Badgers are playing way worse than those two.
  16. Does anyone remember if the rummage sale works on a cash only basis or are people able to use credit cards too?
  17. As usual, SI really went out on a limb with their playoff predictions. 6/8 of the teams they picked made it last year. Seems like every sport they preview they just pick the same teams that made it the year before. Maybe that's just me.....
  18. My last straw with ESPN came a few summers ago when the Lakers had a vacancy in their head coaching position and it was rumored that Coach K from Duke was being considered for the job. Of an hour long edition of Sportscenter, I would have to say that, no exaggeration, 90% of the show was dedicated to this rumor and the other 10% a few baseball highlights. ESPN cares more about flashy, big time athletes, teams, and games than the actual sport itself. In a roundabout way, a reason young athletes don't want to do the fundamentals anymore is because they aren't spectacular enough. Most athletes want to get their highlights onto Sportscenter. Eventually, ESPN will destroy the sports world.
  19. The idea now that every American sport is trying to go global seems a little arrogant. A big part that every game sells out and draws huge crowds is the novelty of the concept, see Indians v. Angels last year at Miller Park. It's a greedy world so MLB is just trying to get a bigger piece of the pie with having opening day in Japan. It really didn't feel much like an opening day, more like a wake up and see if you can catch any of the end of the game. I remember in years passed when they would have a Sunday prime time game on ESPN to start the season and that really felt like an opening day.
  20. Sophomore at Carroll College majoring in Business Administration with a Human Resource emphasis
  21. I thought Johnny 5 was a nice robot. I still have hope for humanity.
  22. I bet if Rick Neuheisel read this board that he would be in too.
  23. Arsenal beating AC Milan 2-0 in very well played UEFA Champions League game. AC Milan had never lost a UEFA game to a European team at home until today. Nice to see someone other than AC Milan have a shot to win something once.
  24. Brett Favre
  25. Why not combine the two with Mustard Plug? But ska is vastly underrated.
