  1. I don't have a great knowledge of the farm system, but isn't there a right handed hitting outfielder in AAA the Brewers could call up instead so the bench isn't so left handed dominant?
  2. It looked like Onweyu didn't have a good read on that ball at all because his first step was in and then tried to go back on it and by that time he was completely out of position to win the header. I'm rather upset about the omission of Brian Ching. He is far from a flashy player, but he does so many things that contribute to plays. Holding up the ball to let others run off of him, coming back to win the ball, winning headers, getting fouled, etc. Robbie Findlay has done absolutely nothing in all of his stints with the national team. It makes no sense why he was rewarded with a spot on the roster.
  3. Make sure he checks on the runner at first. He should step off if he has to. Maybe even get the catcher to go through the signals again.
  4. Guess Lima time is over. Too bad.
  5. Group A needs to pay attention to Diego Forlan from Uruguay. All that guy does is score goals. He tore it up this year for Atletico Madrid. His goal in extra time of the Europa League final was simply magical.
  6. I haven't been to a game since July 24, 2009. Maybe the Brewers are just waiting to play well until I show up?
  7. Take a getaway day before an off day and just dedicate position players to pitch that day. Sure the game will most likely result in a loss, but then the entire pitching staff gets two days of rest. Who knows, maybe one of them can pitch better than anything the Brewers have trotted out to the mound thus far this season.
  8. Thanks a lot Dusty Macha. Way to screw up our most consistent starter so far.
  9. Isn't Kansas City in Missouri?
  10. Why even bother calling up a player? Macha refuses to play young guys the way it is.
  11. 13-15 6 + 7 + 2 = 15
  12. Let's just throw Suppan out there to close. He can't be any worse, right? And we are paying him all that money anyway.
  13. If the Brewers ever go into a slide, I think the IGT needs to be "talk like a pirate" themed.
  14. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/dailypitch/post/2010/04/larussa-and-carpenter-steamed-at-d-backs-/1 It is no longer acceptable to pitch high and tight anymore. Chris Carpenter spoke. So shall it be written, so shall it be done. "I know he didn't try to hit me, but don't put your glove up there. Throw the ball down and away. Anytime you throw the ball up there like that it's unacceptable."
  15. The Cubs are better off bringing him off the bench as a pinch hitter.
  16. What's the over/under on the number of times Zambrano's temper is mentioned on the broadcast today?
  17. Hawkins reverting back to his time with the Cubs....
  18. So is Macha taking the Spring Training approach and piggybacking Suppan's starts with Parra? Just ask Soup to pitch the first 3 and Parra the next 3?
  19. Or in central Illinois where your surrounded by Cubs and Cardinal fans. It's the closest thing to Hell on Earth. Go Brewers!Right next door in my dorm is two arrogant Cub fans...Arrogant Cub fans is redundant.
  20. I swear Stockton doesn't paying attention to any of the games he calls. And when he does, he either doesn't know the players' names or calls them by the wrong name. I really wish he would stop calling baseball and basketball games.
  21. I had a sinking feeling the rotation battle was more to appease the fans than to really determine who would be named the fifth starter. My brain told me Suppan had the inside track based on his large contract, despite the organization's comments. My heart wanted to believe it was a real open competition. But then again, my heart wants to believe athletes don't sign contracts for the money either.
  22. Somewhere Billy Packer is smiling.
  23. I disagree with Clark Kellogg, I think that foul on Hayward on the breakaway was intentional. The Duke player doesn't really try to grab the ball as much as pull Hayward down with his forearm.
