  1. I'm getting a hearty laugh at everyone ready to give up on Ray already.
  2. I would love Stearns to put an insanely high price on him at the trade deadline and see if anyone will bite.
  3. So is that one open spot on the 40 now or two? I can't remember if it was full with Vogt or not.
  4. feel like there's going to be quite a bit of this while they figure out how to fill Chase's rotation spot
  5. if by interesting, you mean depressing... We're getting to keep the team with a sweet looking new arena, we have Giannis, great new uniforms, and yet this feels like the same old bucks.
  6. Burnes started the year in High A, right? He's been great, but this is his first full professional season, let's give him some time to progress before bringing him up.
  7. The org still seems to think that Hader's long-term home is in the rotation, so with Anderson likely being out for a couple of months, give him a shot. Unless they think Woodruff will be back in a couple of weeks.
  8. Espino is a 30 year old minor league journeyman who struggles to break 90 with his fastball. He is in a completely different situation than Hader. If Espino were a young prospect with some velocity and potential, I'd say give him a longer leash, but that's not who he is.
  9. Glad to see Thames get a day off, but not a fan of having Villar lead off again quite yet.
  10. Hader is the future and an 8 inning sample isn't enough to sway me of that. Espino has done nothing so far to indicate he deserves another start, so they may as well go with their #1 pitching prospect. I'd be fine with bringing Wilkerson up for a look too since he's rule 5 eligible after this season.
  11. I'm going to the game on Monday, which was supposed to be Chase's next start and the prospect of seeing Espino isn't very exciting at all. Give Hader a shot.
  12. will they send him to the Arizona Fall League then to get more innings?
  13. damn! I missed him last summer in Appleton because he was injured and now he'll be gone by the time I'm able to get up there again! Good for him though, hopefully he can continue to stay healthy and produce.
  14. Did not realize the T-Rats were struggling so badly this year. Last place and lost 8 in a row!
  15. yowza did Thames look terrible rounding the bases around that HR. I don't care how good Aguilar has been, Thames should not be in LF at all.
  16. I really hope Brinson and Phillips can show enough to give Stearns the confidence to move Braun if he comes back strong or even sell high on Santana.
  17. so it sounds like it is that bad after all! The reason I would go would be to see Harrison, Feliciano, Demi and Lara for sure.
  18. I might have an extra one to sell if you're still interested.
  19. I'm guessing Phillips goes down in favor of Espino.
  20. Well that's a dumb idea. I'll buy from the guys walking around if I don't want to get up, but it's not like they have the most robust selection and sometimes it's a pain to flag them down.
  21. As Plush pointed out above, he is a league average player at best.
  22. Happy for Scoots but he's still not a good player.
  23. Has anyone ever been there? Worth checking out? I'm debating if I want to pull myself together after a couple of days of partying to see the Timber Rattlers there on July 2. It sounds like it's an absolute relic, which is why they're trying to replace it I guess, but does it have any charm or is it just a total dump? Thanks!
  24. Stearns should be fired if he starts making win-now moves like that for a reliever, especially one with only a year and a half of control left.
