  1. random: was just checking out Woodruff and Lopez's stats and saw that they were both born on 2/10/93.
  2. I've been wondering which team it was, that's awesome that it's the Brewers
  3. Mccalvy: Brewers, Dodgers have 6 mos. to set PTBNL or cash in the Roache trade, Stearns said. Thornburg PTBNL is still pending, too. One more month.
  4. The late 2000s/early 2010s were some lean first rounds for the Brewers. yeesh.
  5. ugh, what a bust those 2011/2012 drafts were.
  6. I'm not going to get up to Wisconsin to see some games until August so hopefully not until then!
  7. Interesting couple of proposals here. What do you guys think? My expectations are all out of whack but my first reaction to both of these was "meh", although I don't know that we'd be able to do better. http://herosports.com/mlb/the-haul-trading-ryan-braun-rangers-astros-c6c6 From Texas: 1B/3B JOEY GALLO, LHP YOHANDER MENDEZ, C JOSE TREVINO From Houston: RHP DAVID PAULINO, OF DEREK FISHER, C GARRETT STUBBS
  8. Come on now Wily, the rest of the guys gave you an 8-1 lead...
  9. I would be stunned if Kirk plays ahead of any of those guys in CS. I thought I read somewhere when he accepted the assignment that Stearns said that there was no doubt that the prospects were the priority. edit - here it is
  10. Came very close to ordering a Thames shirtsey online, will probably happen in the next couple of weeks.
  11. Not any time soon. We're rebuilding, we have time to wait for these guys to snap out of it. I would be shocked if any moves are made before July.
  12. Seriously. Not a fan of board spam.
  13. And that's why they should both get the better part of 2017 to do so. Brinson's time will come, no need to rush.

  15. I would be absolutely livid if I were a Giants fan.
  16. I'm hoping this makes it more likely that Milone gets DFA'd.
  17. Only way I want Brinson up this year before September is if there's an injury or Braun gets traded. Let Broxton and Santana have the full year to see what they can do. The team has the luxury of time this season, let's use it.
  18. From Fangraphs chat today - Interesting take: Josh 10:19 If Eric Thames continues to mash, what do you think the odds are that the Brewers would entertain trading him? Would the sample size be large enough to warrant a return that would make a trade worthwhile? His contract looks like a steal, but he isn't exactly young. Jeff Sullivan 10:20 This is going to be one of the most interesting questions leading up to the deadline, and it's also going to depend on how the rest of the Brewers develop. If they feel like they're getting close, Thames will stick. But if the younger players are taking their time, Thames could be a massive trade asset, given how little he costs
  19. I'm excited about the team, but our pitching is just not good enough to compete this year. Hopefully Peralta can keep it going, Davies can get it going like last year and Guerra can come back strong, but it's still not a playoff rotation. At the end of the day, finishing above 500 this year would be a huge success.
  20. Bosio is apparently insinuating foul play too. What a bunch of clowns. Jason Heyward is good again, he's probably on the roids too!
