  1. i think you are drastically overpaying for broxton here.... i'm not sold on trading for relievers... i think if doug has proven anything its that you can get good relievers for next to nothing (coco not withstanding) we got shouse for enrique cruz, wise for free, turnbow for free, spurling for free, CV for wayne franklin, and cappellan for dan kolb, who we got for a minor league reliever who's name i've forgotten... anyway, i think trading hall for a reliever is akin to bowden trading kearns and lopez for majewski last year...very shortsighted...
  2. there's a dearth of charlton heston movies on this list, so with that in mind I add: the omega man soylent green and one where chuck was noticeably absent beneath the planet of the apes and the modern version of the 70's heston movie: the island... finally, using my brilliant ability to predict the future: Transformers oops...forgot deep blue sea...hilarious actually, also forgot how high kangaroo jack and i'm gonna get you sucka
  3. check out his OPS in May Doug---he's performing very well
  4. someone stole my wheels and left my car on bricks a few years ago right next to my bedroom window...ya know, myabe 7 feet from me...i didn't hear anything...and neither did anyone else in my neighborhood... freaked me out a bit...
  5. i saw him pitch twice last year, but no video sorry... and i have no clue about his other pitches, but i'm sure someone who does will swing by...
  6. if i had any idea how to do that i would have http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. i don't like salty because i know people who hung out with him when he was in the minors...and he's a big time party guy... he's also one of those guys that had a steroid air around him for quite a bit early in his career... i just don't buy the hype...not for a second...inman is the kind of guy i want on my team...just a great player and a great guy...salty is not... edit: and other than one year in the carolina league, he hasn't beeen a top prospect...he was not good at all last year in the southern league...brendan katin has an ops a 100 points higher than salty did last year...for that manner palmisano wasn't far behind, and is killing those numbers this time through... some people just drool over other teams prospects because of the press...i'm not buying it on this guy.. oh yeah, and thanks for bringing up corey hart again...i forgot who he was...
  8. i'm not a fan of salty at all and would strongly prefer not trade for him...theres a lot of unjustified hype surrounding the guy and i don't think he'll be a star player... no way i trade inman for him...or sheets, holy cow...
  9. this is mainly for the sake of tracking things, but: Alex Periard to the 7-day dl with an ear infection...
  10. it was fun to watch him warmup... in between those videos, john curtis (pitching coach) took him aside for a minute and talked to him...as soon as you guys are willing to get in on buying me a boom mic, i can get ino on stuff like that... jim rooney was also at the game...and after JJ came out, rooney, jeffress and curtis went to the clubhouse, i assume to go over everything with him...
  11. if this is a film version of the book, i'm mortified...i have no idea how that could be made into a decent movie on any level and maintain the level of energy present in the book...
  12. ok, here's the final two videos: Jeremy warms up #1 Jeremy warms up #2
  13. Buehrle will take tons more than mench and graffy...we might get someone like brian wolfe for those guys...ie, the pitcher we traded for koskie..
  14. game was in kannapolis north carolina...
  15. here's the entire top of the second inning... if you turn the volume up, you can hear me asking the scout what he's throwing and you can hear the scouts talking to each other... Top of the second
  16. still coming are: the entire top of the second and about a minute of me kneeling behind the catcher while he warms up....
  17. www.woot.com/ no more my friend...buy something stupid
  18. the brewers have a big lead in the central, and if they could just win a few games, they'd resume cruising to the playoffs...this has been a painful stretch, but this is still the best season to be a brewerfan in 15 years... i'm not going to spend all of it texpecting ruin...april was incredibly fun...
  19. ok, here's a link to the first two videos: Chris Carter goes deep Jeremy in the third inning There's three more, and i will post them as soon as i can get my stupid computer to upload them...also, if you are dying for the high quality version, i could probably be convinced to send you a 600 Meg email...
