  1. Catcher Interference...I think the last time I saw that was when it happend to Molitor in the All-Star game. I believe the catcher was Biggio.
  2. Scotty has the night off. Maybe this will help him shake his mini slump. Brady Clark gets the start in CF and bats second.
  3. Ben's ERA has dropped to 3.87 after tonight. He is statistically getting close to that #1 we all thought he would be.
  4. With Bill in for Hollywood, and Glendon pitching, we have a pretty decent batting lineup tonight.
  5. Congrats. Its nice to know that there is a brewerfan out there that has something to be happy about. This is one of the worst games I can remember. Hopefully they at least make it interesting with a few runs in the 8th and 9th.
  6. Lets see Matty Ford throw some strikes and work into the 5th or 6th.
  7. Looks like Sheets evened his ERA at 4.00. Obviously the win is the most important, but it would be a big step for Ben to hang out in the 3's the rest of the year.
  8. That was pretty disapointing. Looks like Sexon's night is done.
  9. Your right batman...its going to be a contest to see how many rows back they can hit it. There is nothing really to aim for. Im going to take Prince Albert over Sexon.
  10. Thought I would start a HR Derby topic so things don't get messy on the message board. Anyways, Karl Ravich gave Sexon some love when he picked him to win the derby. I wasn't expecting that. And whats the deal with this concert. Why do they always have concerts now? At least this one isn't as bad as Bon Jovi was during the ending of the Super Bowl.
  11. Brewcrew, I know this has been mentioned before but your posts would be much easier to read if you would hit the spell check button. You make some good points, its just that they are hard to find because of the spelling and caps lock key. I too think he will have a good game tonight since it is his first back. Hopefully he will keep it up over the rest of the season. Unfortunately, there is no statistical evidence to back up these predictions as this is an unusual event. Most veteran starters don't preform poorly enough to get demoted for 3 games.
  12. How unbelievably amaizing would it be if Glendon could turn it around tonight and go the rest of the year with an ERA below 5.00. I really don't think this is out of the question, but it would help this team so much.
  13. NEVER make the 3rd out at 3rd base. I was the third base coach at my brother's little league game last night...he had 2 K's in one inning of relief...and all the kids on the team knew this simple rule of baseball. There was an article in the Urnal-Sentinal this morning where Ned defended Jenkins. It was a mistake for him to run, but it is nice to see a manager protect his player.
  14. I guess all DJ needed to start pitching well again was a haircut.
  15. I'm glad to see Enrique getting a start, but couldn't he have played for Burba or something. When Sheets is out there we have the best chance of winning. This team needs to put all their eggs in one basket so they can attempt to win one game in this series.
  16. Aaron Cook (2-6, 5.63 ERA). Cook is winless in his last three starts, going 0-2 with a 7.16 ERA. The 24-year-old right-hander was sent down to Triple-A Colorado after his last start on June 16. He failed to earn a decision in that outing, allowing three runs and seven hits in 6 1-3 innings of a 7-5 loss to San Diego. I'm heading down to the park now. I hope Burba can give the crew a quality start.
  17. Miller is always trouble for the Brewers. I hope they can get some runs against him to give Ben some support. If Ben stays with the 2-seamer, he should be successful tonight. If he goes back to the 4-seamer, there could be trouble in the bandbox known as Enr...well whatever it is called now. He needs to get ground ball outs tonight.
  18. If Burba can give us a quality start, I will be very pleased.
  19. I hate the rug burns. I used to have to play soccer on artificial turf and it is so brutal.
  20. Right on batman...you guys need to evaluate objectivly. Jenkins is good, but he is injury prone and increadbly streaky. Maybe we are seeing the real Jenks now, the one that we all thought he was going to be before the injury years. Maybe he will revert back to the big swing and injuries. The fact of the matter is that you trade high, and Jenkins is higher than most of my stoner friends right now. If he keeps this up, it would be difficult not to add some serious talent to the AA or A+ level so that we get an even bigger push 2 yrs from now.
  21. Jenkins...wow. Looks like we might take the series.
  22. Prior is rediculus. I hope the Cubs watch his pitch counts better though so they don't blow out his arm like they usually do. Oh wait...I'm a Brewers fan. Its hard to root for an injury so all I will say if he blows out his arm is I told you so. He has a smooth dilivery so we will see.
  23. I think I read somewhere that Rickie's agent gets paid by the hour instead of a percentage of salary. This seems kinda strange to me as wouldn't it be in the agent's best intrest to drag out the negotiations?
  24. Way to prove me wrong Viz. Stikes Sammy out.
  25. Viz vs. Sosa 2. Look out on Wayland.
