  1. We were discussing this in another thread, but their batting order makes no sense to me. I would have loaded those two up near the top of the order instead of breaking them up with Simpson.
  2. My take is that he should be fully available today after the travel day. That being said, I thought it was interesting that Megill has only pitched 3 outs. I think if you need someone to get 6 outs tonight that falls to Megill instead of Ashby.
  3. I really don't get some of Cash's moves here. There are potentially 2 games left in their season and he's holding back his big guns for some reason. Add to that the Chandler Simpson batting 3rd decision and I am really scratching my head.
  4. Countless middle infield kids have been trained to get your back foot out of the way and then throw knowing you had the benefit of the doubt. If this is the new paradigm, you are going to have many injured middle infielders.
  5. And now, as expected, its come out that the Brewers have requested MLB offer their interpretation of the rule. As in, they aren't going to do this without knowing they can replace him if injured during the WS.
  6. Coin flip? 50/50? I guess I'm just not seeing the same things as other posters or we are all trying to be conservative to not set ourselves up for disappointment. On paper, I expect to win this in 4 or 5 games. And now I'm knocking on all the wood around me.
  7. This was a successful year by every metric in my mind, but lets pump the brakes on assuming him being an all star:
  8. This seems like a lot of speculation. I'm sure the team would do their homework and work with the league to cover all posibilities.
  9. This had definitely come up in my head, but I don't think now is the time to talk about this. I'll get off my soapbox now and please continue the conversation without me.
  10. This it the internet. There's not supposed to be acountability.
  11. Those walks almost blew up in Robert's face though. Mitchell hit that line drive at 106 with a xBA of .510. This game could have easily been 4-1.
  12. They are going to need to continue that against the Dodgers. Last year it felt like we were playing with house money after advancing, but I have no doubt they will look to wear LA out to negate their starting pitching.
  13. At this point, North Shore Adult Diapers are probably the more relevant sponsor for me.
  14. Molitor is my favorite baseball player of all time, but, sadly, I think a lot of people remember him as a Blue Jay more than a Brewer. He also never really was the face of the franchise so long as he played next to Yount. For those reasons, I would probably go Yount, Braun, Yeli, with that 4th spot soon to be Chourio. Those 4 will likely be the faces of the franchise over the years.
  15. Of course I would rather have a full season, but a 60 game season would actually be super exciting. Like being in a playoff chase from opening day. And it would benefit the Brewers as their SP is still trying to ramp up innings. The boys would be hitting their stride right into October.
  16. Whats this all about?
  17. Hasn't Yelich even been part of the conversations when they have sent prospects back to AAA? I don't think this is cringe, I think its just recognizing his role as a leader and I'm okay with the leader of a team not being the best player.
  18. You do realize how different what you just typed compared to: "Mark A certainly directed them to go try and get Skubal"
  19. I was amped up earlier this week after working late until 11, so I put on The Searchers (a comfort film I haven't watched in forever) to wind down. I ended up staying up until 3 to finish with a couple pauses. I think this is one of my top 5 films and I need to watch more John Ford.
  20. The truth is we really don't know and wont until we see the playoff roster. It seems silly to speculate on his health or that he might be dishonest with the team. Hopefully he is focused on recovery and making the necessary progress.
  21. You are allowed an injury substitution. The only reason I think this carries some weight is that Woody did come back from an extended absence and pitched well until the injury resurfaced. He doesn't strike me as the type of player who is going to show rust in a playoff moment. If he is healthy enough to pitch for a full series, I would love to see him replace someone on the bubble.
  22. I'm still in awe about a significant portion of the fanbase complaining that Mark is cheap, especially when we don't know what the ownership group is spending on the operations that allows us to win with less payroll spend. People really don't remember the Wendy years.
  23. He is having success in AA, which is the whole point of the article, not "A" ball. And I don't think anyone is arguing that "doing great in "A" ball translates to being great in the MLB."
