  1. I'm so excited for the Wednesday game, it'll be my first game of the year, and me and a few friends called a week or two ago to get tickets and got first row in the right field bleachers. We have an idea for a sign for Jenkins, should be TV worthy.
  2. I haven't been checking the site much so far this season because I've been really busy at school, but man, I really didn't think I'd come on and see worrying about our season going down the tubes. We're 8-5 and as someone pointed out, that equates to 99 wins. I highly doubt anyone can seriously believe we'll win 99 as it is, so I can't see any reason to panic right now. Is our approach ugly, even extremely ugly, at times? Sure. I'm not willing to say that there is pressure getting to the team though, I don't think they seem to be feeling any more pressure than they did the last two years just due to the fact that I think they know they can win the division.
  3. Ok...I changed my mind, not surprising. It turns out I'm now a Finance major. When I was signing up for classes for General Business I realized I was taking so many finance and business law electives that it just makes sense. What's the deal with having to decide on what I'm supposed to do the rest of my life when I'm only 21? I know that I'm never locked into anything and should do what I want to be happy so it could all end up changing anyways, but talk about stressful.
  4. I seriously hope Bill Hall is back from last year. That would be amazing.
  5. "This doesn't mean that I love you"
  6. Thanks again for the thoughts. I'm going to be signing up for classes to stay on the General Business track for now. I think it's best considering I literally have no real idea of what I want to do after college yet, and I think I would be happy with a variety of different careers, I don't have one specific one in mind that I'm shooting for. And I still haven't decided on grad school, so if I do General Business I'd have a good base to go off if I do more school after graduation.
  7. Thanks for the thoughts so far. It's all good food for thought. If I had it my way I'd just drive the City's Park and Rec Dept. garbage truck like I did last summer, but I don't think that would cut it for long.
  8. Nice razzor... I have a tie, Under Pressure - David Bowie and Queen, and Peace of Mind - Boston
  9. So I have to register for classes tomorrow. I'll be a senior next year. As of right now my major is General Business, and now it's time to start choosing what I want to take to fill out my major. So far I've taken all the required core business classes, plus two others that I thought I might be interested in. Now I'm having second thoughts on if I want to stay as a General Business major, or switch to Marketing. I'll still be able to graduate on time either way, but I guess the advice I'm looking for is if other people have or have dealt with a General Business major. My dilemma is that I'm still not sure what I want to do after college, obviously something business related, but other than that I'm not sure. Marketing seems to be the most interesting of the core classes I took, and I have a thing at the Admirals sort of working with the promotions/marketing area, which I've liked doing. I'm not 100% sure it's what I want to do though. Another reason I've went with General Business is that I was told it is actually appealing to some employers because it would mean I have at least base experience in all different areas of business, and then they can train me specifically to what they need at the time if I can get hired. Now I've been thinking that it might be better to go with something more specific (Marketing), because a part of me thinks it could end up in getting a better paying job and I'd actually have more than a base knowledge in one thing, rather than knowing just a little about each different thing. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
  10. Talk about a buzzkill, I got through the waiting room after waiting 5 min. or so at 9, it told me I had an invalid password, so whatever though, I tried a few more times, with caps, no caps, etc. To make it worse I went to my 9:30 marketing class, and we got out 45 min early. Not even worth going. Weak morning.
  11. I'm trying for the heck of it, but it's telling me my login is invalid.
  12. NL: Diamondbacks AL: Tribe, Mariners
  13. One run saved already I'd say.
  14. I think I remember that play, yeah it wasn't the best idea, but at least that's more about hustle and wanting that extra base. Hall getting picked off second is just pretty lazy.
  15. Got one also. I wasn't going to go through the effort of eBay or anything like that, but I'll be up for class anyways, might as well give it a shot.
  16. I'll go with Prince today in his 2nd at-bat. It'll land in the basket and just to the left of where it gets deeper in the right field corner.
  17. Anyone make it to the game today? Would have been nice to win it in regulation and not give Houston a point, but still, excellent game, really exciting and it was nice that there were so many people there to see it.
  18. The Admirals are expecting atleast 9000 on Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised if that's more than the Bucks game tomorrow. Even though the Kareem bobblehead might throw that off.
  19. The thing is they don't really need to purposely tank the rest of the season. Just keep playing the same way they're playing now. I didn't even realize Marion wasn't playing either the other night against the Heat. It really is time for everyone to go. Krystkowiak(?) included. No more former players/assistant coaches being made head coach please.
  20. That's amazing. I've never been a huge Bogut fan, but coupling that with the fact that they play Down Under almost everytime he scores, I'm now a huge fan. Still not a fan of the NBA, but I'm now a Bogut fan.
  21. I left Waukesha at 1030 to get there last year. I was at the exit for the Pettit at noon. They said on the radio the lots were almost full so me and my friend decided to just get off there and take the shuttle. Got to MP at 1235. I'll never leave that late for opening day again.
  22. The whole stolen bases thing reminds me of that Earl Weaver clip that Brian (I think) posted in the Funniest Youtube Videos thread. Basically I think no matter how much it's talked about, we aren't going to be running anymore than last year, and we'll still hit a ton of home runs.
  23. Cool Runnings. Best slow clap ever.
  24. This is excellent. Nothing on TV, but these are so good.
