  1. That was a pretty good episode...I couldn't stop laughing when he drove the car into the lake either.
  2. It's still NBA 2k5 for me.
  3. ALDS Red Sox over Angels (3-2) Indians over Yankees (3-2) NLDS D-Backs over Cubs (3-1) Phillies over Rockies (3-2) ALCS Indians over Red Sox (4-3) Phillies over D-Backs (4-2) World Series Indians over Phillies (4-0) OK, so I picked the teams I like better rather than the ones I thought would win, but oh well. I am hoping for a 8th different World Champion in 8 years though, the only team I wouldn't mind winning that would ruin that streak is the D-Backs which would still mean 6 different Champions in 6 years. Or the Yankees would make it 7 in 7 years, but who would want that.
  4. Looking forward to the Blue Jays and the Orioles series. Minnesota is getting stale, plus we haven't been doing so hot against them at home.
  5. And how could anyone forget this... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/news/2002/06/17/brewers_injuries_ap/lg_jenkins_ap-01.jpg That's still extremely difficult to look at without cringing.
  6. Chicks dig the long ball, so the Brewers should be set.
  7. Don't worry, I think he meant that was Yost's first good move all season in that he pulled Jenkins so he could get his due. I wasn't sure how to read it at first either, but I think he meant it in a positive way towards Jenks.
  8. I can't seem to remember any instance either than I sat there and thought Geoff gave up on a ball, etc. Most everyone has atleast a few times where they don't completely hustle it out and it costs them an out, but other than that, I can't remember any times either. I'm going to miss him the most for is ditching his huge dip on his way to first after a big home run. Classic.
  9. I'll miss Geoff as well. Sure, his swing left something to be desired, but what are you going to do. It's unfortunate that Geoff's best years coincided with terrible teams around him, but it feels like somewhat of a changing of the guard. For the past 10 years, it was Geoff Jenkins and losing teams, now it's changed over to a winning team with five faces in Fielder, Braun, Hart, Weeks and Hardy that hopefully will be here and be healthy and be winners for the next 10.
  10. I found it kind of laughable that they chose plain white flags basically. Oh well, better than those stupid Raise the Roof signs.
  11. I accidentally came across WGN live in the Cubs locker room in Cincy. Yuck.
  12. I somewhat disagree with saying the team has done nothing to show improvement, we won atleast six more games than last year. That's an improvement. We were in the playoff hunt until September 28th. That's an improvement. In 2006 our 'best' player was Bill Hall with 35 HR and 85 RBI. This year Ryan Braun has atleast 34 HR and 95 RBI, and he wasn't our best player, we have this guy named Prince who threw on atleast a measly 50 HR and 119 RBI. That's an improvement. Our leadoff hitter struggled mightily for portions of the season, went to Triple A, but came back mashing and getting on base, probably due to an almost fully healed wrist. He'll be here next year and if I had to guess I would say he'll resemble more of the guy from August 10th on than the guy who got sent down to Triple A. We seem to have ourselves an all around player in Corey Hart, near .300, 20 HR +, 25 SB +, etc. and really hasn't shown me that those numbers are a fluke. Just to name a few.
  13. Math is still on our side? Crap. We don't even have math. I can't wait for next year. That's really more of a vent than a silver lining, the wait for February is going to be killer.
  14. Maybe we need to adjust the flux capacitors on our DeLoreans? I'll give it a shot and get back to you guys...
  15. I had this happen the other day, and now a couple times this morning too...
  16. If the Canadian trio can't get the Crew a win, I don't know who or what can.
  17. Can you or anyone who saw it recap what they said? Mentioned some stuff about how when you have younger players getting tossed three out of four games probably isn't the best idea, then add on to that the suspension. Talked about how that means Ned has missed 15 of of the last 45 innings of his young team's games while they are in the middle of a playoff race. Criticized him for throwing at Pujols which led to that huge inning, Orel says stuff like that can wait, months or even years. Yada, yada, yada. I'm not saying the analysts on ESPN are the most credible people to be listening to, but it was interesting to actually hear Ned get criticized by someone not in the dugout on a couch.
  18. Ned is getting ripped apart on BBTN right now by Olney and Orel. Somewhat makes my night better.
  19. We still have math on our side?
  20. Get it done tonight Yo. Same to you offense. Go Brewers!
  21. That's the right attitude.
  22. Go to the bar and open up a set, show some DHV, throw out some playful negs then kino escalate. I'd say go for the kiss-close, but the number-close is just as good. If you can, try to bounce.
  23. I think I would flip a coin to decide between Counsell and Hart. I did a flip now and it's Counsell.
  24. I guess atleast we know he'll be around next year, somewhat taking the fun out of debating whether or not he should be though.
  25. Well, aside from my severe depression that set in about 40 minutes ago, Ned actually managed a pretty good game tonight I would say. I'm not a fan of Spurling in the 9th in a tie game ever, but he was fine today, thankfully. I don't have a problem replacing Braun with Counsell, because today Ned did it way later in the game, rather than the 6th or 7th. I do have a small beef with having Counsell bunt, considering some big at-bats Counsell has put up lately, getting up to 9-10 pitches in an at-bat then coming up with a big hit, I would rather have him swing and take our chances that way. Bunting isn't exactly our strong point most of the time, there was only one out, Stocker is somewhat speedy, I'm confident Counsell could have atleast knocked him in with a sac fly. I don't want Ned back, but I've been much more upset at Ned than today to say the least. Today's loss is on the players IMO, and I feel sick that Rickie booted that ball there, after the month and half he's been having. Just feel terrible for the guy.
