    I agree to a certain point, but my thought is that we need to figure out some way (hopefully relatively cheaply) to find a lefty from outside the organization who can supplant one of the guys on this list. Obviously Herrera was not the answer, but it does show that DM has at least kicked the tires on this idea as well. I am sure that if we are looking at October baseball this fall that we will need to fix this problem and the sooner the better.

    There has to be another move coming in the next few days where we acquire a left-hander not named Herrera.

    I will feel a bit bad for him if never makes the majors again. I mean, to get a cup of coffee is pretty awesome but as it stands, he might be this close to realizing his dream of playing in the majors and then never get into an official game or officially on the Brewers all-time roster. Doubt that this scenario plays out, but if he were to suffer some debilitating injury I'd be pretty upset to make it that close but not have officially played in at least one game.

    The BIG W!! Eat it Cordero. Nice job loading the bases because of your anger issues you arrogant piece of garbage.

    I hate the idea of Betancourt leading off an inning against a wild Cordero. Cordero throws one to the backstop the first pitch and Yuni swings at the following pitch. I'd say unbelievable, but it really is just expected at this point.

    It sounds like they're afraid to use him because if he doesn't respond well by Thursday, they could put him on DL retroactive to last Sunday and he'd only have to sit out 7 more days.IMO, they should have DL'd him right after the injury. His type of injury is a nagging one and one that you knew that he was going to be missing some games from. Why weaken our bench by having him unavailable to play and yet using a roster spot?

    I'm getting very tired of Braddock's ineffectiveness as well. I think finding a lefty out of the pen not named Herrera has to be a priority for Doug at the deadline.

    Does anyone know how long Bill is gone for? I am assuming he comes back after the All-Star break?

    I am listening to the game on the radio and not watching on tv. Have they shown Scarpetta yet? I'm wondering if he will be available if needed today and the JS made it sound like he would likely be there around gametime.

    It would have been really nice to add on a few more there. Wishing that Braun was healthy.

    Any other head highlights from his time in TEX? I hope it continues and that someone from the Rangers has seen this thread.

    As bad as any type of injury to Braun could be for this team, I really hope that we don't couple the injury with roster mismanagement. If Braun is going to miss any significant amount of time we need to call someone up (probably Boggs) that can give us decent bench options. I don't want a roster space wasted on anyone nursing an injury that can't actually contribute to the game.

    Props on this to a guy I don't normally have a ton of respect for. Even it was done just to paint himself in a nicer light the bottom line is those two kids will get a college education without having to take on years of debt and loans. Good story.

    I really don't blame the Brewers for this. While I recognize that the promotion might have some flaws, how do you blame the team when they are just trying to give people a discount for a few games? It really isn't something that they are obligated to do, and if people act like idiots I'm not sure how it's the team's fault.
