Why didn't we DL Mitre immediately after the injury if he's not able to pitch? We can't afford to have dead weight on the active roster and limit another option from the pen.

In theory, Lopez does not seem like a bad fit for a second stint in MIL. I have heard Melvin mention in interviews continued "attitude problems" (paraphrasing here) that would seem to make me think that Felipe would not be welcomed back. Perhaps he had the same issues in MIL as he has in other stops and they just didn't become public.

I would have loved to have seen Branyan stepping to the plate with two on and none out tonight against the Cubs instead of Kotsay. Let's hope that DM is willing to admit a mistake with Kotsay and go and get him (probably for cheap) from Ari.

Even the Cardinals are 0-2 right now. I'm not worried quite yet. We could hang 7-8 runs on Arroyo tomorrow and we'll all go into the ATL series optimistic. Gotta keep the faith!Agreed. It's two games out of 162. Let's not freak out yet.
