  1. Yeah, I misspoke when I implied that I was surprised. I have been a Brewers fan for several decades and know that this has been a consistent policy for WTMJ. It bothers me a lot though, and just think it's pretty bush league that the station wouldn't go to bat for a first place team's regular season game over an exhibition game's preview show. I guarantee that the entire Brewer game will be bumped from 620 on Friday night. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif Unfortunately, I'm sure you're right. I plan on calling and complaining to the station when they announce that this will be happening on Friday though I'm sure it won't do a bit of good.
  2. His appearances have been sporadic all year so I doubt that has anything to do with it. I did actually sit behind him at a game earlier this year and he wasn't in his normal seats. I am wondering if he's mixing it up a bit and trying out different views of the ballpark.
  3. Along the same lines, I find it hard to believe that WTMJ decided to broadcast a Packers pre-season game ahead of a Brewers game in August yesterday. We are a first-place team playing a division rival during the regular season and they choose to broadcast an exhibition game? Yeah, not sure how long you have been a Brewer fan, but get used to it. This has always bugged me regardless of what place the Brewers are in. An exhibition game should NEVER supersede a regular season game. Over the years, I have learned to live with this the best I can, but it still steams me. Yeah, I misspoke when I implied that I was surprised. 5. Haha, respect. That's awesome.
  6. C'mon, let's get the win. Would love to devastate the Pirates.
  7. I still am wondering what kind of bad blood may have exsisted between Melvin and Sheets. Nothing said publicly, but it just seems like the debate over who was paying for Sheets's injury indicated that something in the relationship was strained. That being said, I would take a flier on him on a minor league deal if he were willing to have an incentive laden deal.
  8. Yeah, it really doesn't speak highly of a flagship station for a first place baseball team. I know that there are far fewer football games than baseball games, but can you imagine Brewers pre-game exhibition game coverage being played over a Packers game in December if the Packers were in first place? Just seems real insulting to the Crew.

  10. Oh man, stole my thunder.

  12. I will miss Braun and Prince going yard back to back next year as well.
  13. Have to ask, what does DPR mean again?
  14. Is anyone else listening to the post-game show on WTMJ? They had to cut to a station ID so that Corey Provus could regroup. Sounded like Uecker was doing something in the background but I was half listening. Anyone have any idea what was going on?

  16. That is a very frustrating run to give up. Let's hope it doesn't lead to a big inning.
  17. Loving the leadoff hits. Let's romp STL today, bad lineup or no.
  18. Alright, at least it's progress. Glad to be on the board.
  19. Bases loaded for Prince. I like our odds. Way to put the pressure on them early.
