  1. Hey all, its been awhile, and I had forgotten about this post. I am just going to bump it back up to see if there is any interest out there. I am not moving for a few more weeks, so there is a bit more time than I had originally anticipated. I am not looking to make a killing on these, just trying to get rid of a few things that I no longer collect.
  2. Chris Smith looked like the main character on Mike Tyson's Punchout facing Mike Tyson at the end of the game in that Lee AB.
  3. Also, if you are into nineteenth century history Lawrence, KS was a major battleground during the Bleeding Kansas conflict of the 1850s-Civil War era. Not sure what's left today, but the town was burnt down once by pro-slavery Missourians who were upset with the abolitionist views of many of the residents.
  4. Is there really a professional soccer team called the "La Raza de Monterrey?" Doesn't that mean "the race?" "
  5. Yeah, the offseason definitely was an odd series of twists and turns with DM and Sheets. But I did hear Melvin say on 1250 yesterday that he and Casey Close remained close (sorry), and still talked quite a bit. He basically just said that Ben has not indicated he is ready to come back in 2009 and that he had no idea how his training was going.
  6. Do we have any actual evidence that the bridges are burned as bad as people seem to think?
  7. Perhaps we are about to see each MIL hitter take two strikes before trying to protect for at least five minutes each.
  8. Didn't he "officially" retire only in the last few weeks? I am guessing its not realted, but interesting timing nonetheless.
  9. The pre vs. post Prince fight stats are kind of fascinating. I am not sure that it really has any bearing as I am sure there are a number of variables, but intriguing nonetheless. Anyway, frustrating Parra/Brewers day all around.
  10. Either of Webb or Haren and I am a happy man.
  11. Does anyone know the "formula" they use for opening or closing the roof? Today seems like a day where it definitely should have been open. Just my opinion, but baseball is meant to be played outdoors if possible.
  12. Of course the Jays are in the AL East.
  13. I wish there was some news. Any updates?
  14. If last year is any indication, Melvin would want to get his pitcher before the All Star break if possible. I think we had CC for two extra starts last year because he pulled the trigger on a deal earlier than most. This is exciting...
  15. Did Gameday show the called strike three to Gamel to be out of the zone? I am watching on FSN and it looked a bit high, but I thought it was in the zone.
  16. I feel like that replay of Hall striking out has virtually replayed itself in nearly every at bat I have seen this season from him. I know its an in-game venting exaggeration, but seriously.
  17. With the way the Pirates usually conduct an oftentimes dysfunctional August fire-sale, I'm guessing he's available for a fairly reasonable price.
  18. How far is Genova from Bergamo and Vercelli? Glad to have a Crew fan in Italia.
  19. I'm interested as well. Thank you Pedro. >>I forgot it was a day game on Thursday, and will have to be at work. Thanks anyways Pedro, sorry about the confusion.
  20. Unfortunately Bill Hall has shown this year that he is at best a platoon player, and only against left handers.
