  1. I guess I'd want to wait and see what they're going for... but I would most likely sell mine if I could get $100 or more for it. I wonder how many are truly being produced.
  2. I hope they just stay content with the first extension. I always thought the second Braun extension was completely unnecessary, and with what's happened in the past couple years with his thumb and suspension, I am even more sure that that was a bad move. Lucroy is great and I love having him on our team, but I would be afraid to sign a catcher into his mid-30's. I'm very risk-averse, though.
  3. As a wing and overall food snob, I reject your Buffalo Wild Wings recommendation. And to take my snobbery a step further... boneless wings are not wings, they are chicken tenders for adults. I am truly insufferable. Can someone also tell me why they call it BW3's? That makes no sense. Maybe I should post that in the "What's Buggin' You?" thread...
  4. Yeah... everyone is doing this nowadays... but it was still good.
  5. It seems important to the team to have a good start for once, so I like that.
  6. Points East Pub and it's not really even close. I fancy myself a wing expert as well, but I'm really picky about them. I think that most of them aren't that great. But I sure do love a good wing when I find it. Also good: Magoo's in West Allis, Red Rock on Water St (love the Confessor), Barnacle Bud's, and Paulie's in 'Stallis serves Legend Larry's wings, which are pretty good too. Points East are a dry wing, whereas most of the others noted are wet. They're expensive everywhere, which is very annoying to me. I personally think Garibaldi is the most overrated wing place in the city. They were small, not very crisp, and oversalted last time I had them. I live across the street from Pizza Shuttle and find their food mostly disgusting... but you guys are making me want to give their wings a chance. I do the yelp thing, and I have a list: http://www.yelp.com/list/a-wing-a-ding-ding-milwaukee
  7. Her was one of my favorite films of the past few years. I was surprised Jacquin Phoenix wasn't nomincated for best actor. Loved that movie.
  8. Absolutely not, given the fact that we finally (hopefully) have some young arms ready to take spots in the rotation over the next couple of years. We have gotten the best innings he's ever going to pitch out of him. I agree with everyone that said to give him a qualifying offer if he produces in 2014, but a multi-year deal is out of the question. And I'm willing to bet the Brewers brass feels the same way at this point.
  9. Yes - and I agree the game exchange is a good idea, Pepsi. We may end up doing that if we aren't able to sell a few of our games.
  10. Section 212, Row 10 on the aisle. Loge Infield - still in foul ball play. We have two tickets per game to the Sunday Plus Package: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/ticketing/20_packs.jsp If anyone wants to buy any of these games at cost ($72 per game for 2 tickets), please email me at thesaltshakersband at yahoo dot com or PM me. Thanks very much! We used to split our 20 pack with 2 others but they have since bailed, so we are willing to part with some of the games. Thanks!
  11. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/02/brewers-to-sign-francisco-rodriguez.html I'm not surprised, and I like it.
  12. Yeah, apparently he had issues when he was young, beat them for 23 years or so, and then relapsed within the past few years and had continued to struggle. It will be interesting to see how they handle those Hunger Games movies given the fact that he is an integral part of the plot in a blockbuster franchise.
  13. You probably look older than you are when you're overweight and abuse drugs. He was one of my favorite actors, it's a bummer.
  14. I will agree that The Bling Ring was a steaming pile, although it was the first time I ever found myself attracted to Emma Watson.
  15. Bob Newhart is still going strong at 84. I saw him a few weeks ago in Green Bay and he still has the timing and humor that made him famous many many years ago.
  16. Rocky IV
  17. Old news, Rickey! Where you been the last couple days? I question if the Rangers really thought that there was any chance Wilson would play baseball... or if they just wanted to waste 12k for some publicity.
  18. JerHair was the Brewer Playoff MVP of 2011, in my opinion.
  19. Exactly, there is no way this happens now that Aoki has been traded.
  20. We took the plunge and moved from Terrace Box to Loge Infield, Sec 212. We wanted 1st base side and couldn't get anything on the aisle in Field or Loge Outfield... so Loge Infield was just a dollar more per ticket than the Field Outfield... decided to go for it. Hope my wife and I get a similar tax return to last year to cover this
  21. Well... got the packet in the mail on Saturday. It appears prices have remained the same based on the Terrace Box price of $18 noted. We're considering moving close this year... most likely either Field Outfield or Loge Outfield. I have a question for other season ticket holders. If we were to do the Sundays Plus package and were thinking about these two areas... can I call our rep and ask him what seats are available right now? We've done the Fan's Choice package in the past and picked our games... so we never knew where our seats were going to be until we got the tickets. Just wondering if it's different when you pick one of the designated 20 packs instead. The section/on the aisle factor would influence our decision a lot.
  22. He had an OPS under 700 this year... so I'm not surprised Melvin doesn't consider him a 1B solution.
  23. Before Roenicke, it seemed like the Brewers never really had much interest in Sveum as the manager of the Brewers long-term (long-term meaning as more than an interim manager in this case)... so I'm guessing he'll get another shot somewhere else as manager rather than coming back to the Brewers as a bench coach or something, but who knows.
  24. Yep, I agree... I like seeing some personality brought forth. I wish there was more if it.
