  1. Pretty judgmental thread. I too would be a lot more upset if he was scheduled to start today. This is his first offense, he's a guy in his 20's that made a really stupid decision. Plenty of people reading (and writing) in this thread have had way too much to drink and gotten behind the wheel at least a time or two. I have friends that do it all the time and it bugs me, but I'm not their father and if you've ever tried to do something about that in the past - you know that real life is not like an after-school special where your friend hands over their keys and thanks you for helping them. I'm glad nobody got hurt and hopefully he doesn't risk it next time.
  2. Is this really happening? The Weeks-haters are coming out of the woodwork after two bad games? As it was previously noted in this thread by Baldkin... after a horrendous start to 2012, Weeks recovered quite nicely. Also... right now we don't have many options as far as batting someone 4th that can actually hit at all.
  3. Henderson warming up, about to audition for the closer's role with a 5 run (I hope) lead.
  4. It will? Hasn't Weeks been one of - if not THE best hitter on the team so far this season? You can put me in the camp that thinks he's a great player as long as he's healthy. And the only reason I'm referencing his hot start is because it's a little less ridiculous than judging him based on his ONE BAD GAME today.
  5. By my calculations we need 16 runs to win the game today. We are almost halfway there! Whoo!
  6. I think the Rickie post was a joke. Pretty sure. It has to be. What he's saying is... fans can be very reactionary. Yes, they can.
  7. I don't know. I just hate seeing those two out there at the same time because they both offer NOTHING offensively. The only reason I liked Gonzalez when we initially signed him was because he's a good shortstop. Having him at 3B or 1B just makes me want to weep.
  8. I cannot. Gonzalez AND Betancourt in the same lineup is going to ruin me.
  9. I'm not sure it's enforceable at all. I look forward to reading it when I sign it. I'm just annoyed I have to sign it in the first place. I may make a fuss with my ticket rep. Give me Gallardo like I wanted and I will gladly keep the ball!
  10. We must be the team that's given up the most hits thus far, right? I bet it's not even close.
  11. On a positive note, we have other guys to step in if Fiers continues to be bad. And maybe they won't be as bad. Right? Maybe.
  12. I love babes as much as the next guy but they seem even more pointless than Sophia Minneart.
  13. These FSN girls creep me out. For some reason these spots remind me of the dating hotline commercials you see late at night. "Call now for just $3.99 per minute, beautiful single ladies are waiting for YOU."
  14. There is no reason to have Betancourt on this team. He is a terrible-defending version of Alex Gonzalez, and with the way Alex Gonzalez hits... we only need one Alex Gonzalez. I would much rather take a chance this with Hunter Morris despite his rough spring until Hart returns.
  15. heh, exactly. I wanted to trade it for a chorizo but I can't even do that. it's ain't right!
  16. Got my letter today telling me when I can pick up my Corey Hart signed baseball. It also says that we will have to sign an agreement stating we will not sell or barter the baseball. Why? I have no interest in holding onto it. I wanted Gallardo anyway. WAH.
