Edwin Jackson would be perfect. Could we get him on a 2-year-deal? That'd be nice.

1. Gallardo 2. Fiers 3. FA or Veteran brought in via trade 4. Estrada 5. Rogers Peralta and Thornburg start 2013 in AAA and are ready to step-in (in that order) in case of the inevitable injury. Before he returned, I wanted that #3 to be Marcum... now I'm not so sure anymore. I have a feeling that I will be underwhelmed by whoever we get to take that spot... hopefully Doug surprises me with a trade for a #2/#3 starter.

When did Hart say he'd take a two year extension? I think that would be ideal and not much risk.

Wolf has a signature pitch - that big slow curve. He just couldn't locate it this year. And he earned those first two years of the deal, so think of it as a 1-yr/11-million dollar mistake. It ain't no big thing.

If he wants to pitch more this year, I think someone will sign him for the minimum. Maybe he'll take the rest of the year off, though. Sounds nice.

Good luck to him. He performed well his first year and above-and-beyond what I expected out of him his 2nd year of his contract. No regrets.

How big of a deal will Marcum get?

Marcum signing a 1 year deal would be huge. You'd think he'd do a 1 year deal to try and get a bigger deal after that... but I would go for a 2 year/10-12 mil deal. I doubt he'll get more than that. 1 year for 6-8 mil would be ideal. -
It would be HUGE if Rogers could pitch to a 4ish ERA in our rotation next year. I am really pulling for him. He's definitely got the stuff for it.

48 bucks? I'm sold... Just bought one! I already have a DVD player that plays divx... Just need something for those mp4/x264 files. Thanks. But do I really need an iPad or iPod to use it? Does it have any buttons on the actual box to navigate it?

I'm resurrecting this thread because I'm trying to find a way to watch x264 video files on my TV. It seems that .avi/DivX is dying and I need to change with the times. Has anyone tried the Boxee Box by D-Link or Apple TV for playing your video files on your TV? Do I need an Apple PC to use Apple TV? I'm leaning towards the Boxee Box... but it's $180 and that turns me off. I may have no choice, though... fall TV is right around the corner. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Roenicke is not the problem. The entire bullpen is a joke. It doesn't matter what inning anyone pitches... If we don't have a ten run lead going into the ninth, we're losing the game.

Yeah, I can see Hart at 1B next year, then Ramirez moving over to 1B in 2014 with Segura taking over the 3B duties. There are options.

I think trading Gallardo is really stupid, but I'm all for filling the rest of the rotation with young dudes with something to prove. I'd rather they work out the kinks and stress of breaking into the big leagues when it doesn't matter much.

The rotation is an absolute mess next year. Not sure how it's going to get fixed. Marcum signing a one year deal to get his value up again would help a lot... but I'm not sure that's going to happen. I'm worried this team is going to be like the teams we've had around 2008-2011. Teams with offense but no pitching.

Yeah, this is a ridiculous idea. Our rotation is already looking pretty awful next year... And you want to trade the one good remaining starter we have? We need more starters, not less.

We have Sirius but we don't get the online option, sorry. Each 6 months we cancel... then they send us 6 more months for $25 offers and we sign back up. I'm a big Stern fan. Got my girlfriend hooked too.

I agree that Fiers is probably a 4 ERA guy over the next few years... but 5 more years of that at a lower salary is something the Brewers can't give up. We need good starting pitchers very badly after this year. -
