  1. Molitor and Yount are the obvious choices. I'll take Jeff Cirillo.
  2. Yup, I'm now done for the year. The dream is over. I'll cheer for Tampa Bay.
  3. I really enjoy Josh Vernier. He's to the point, informed and concise. None of the theatrics that the other guys have. I also don't mind Cliff at all. He's quite a nice guy, too. I got a chance to meet he and Gary several times at the State Fair, their booth was right across from mine (Water Street Brewery) down there.
  4. If Attanasio fired Ned based largely on what happened in Philladelphia, how is he going to react to this (which I think is accurate)? Certainly not what he spent $90 Million to accomplish. Iwould suggest Doug better make sure his proessional network is intact.Don't think he needs to worry about that. Gammons and Neyer both speculate that if the Yankees let Cashman go, Doug Melvin is the guy they think would be the new Yankees GM.
  5. Wow, cool to be quoted in a newspaper.
  6. I think if Leyland leaves the Tigers, he's at the top of a one man list.
  7. Funny, because yesterday the guys at firenedyost.com announced that they had registered iblamesveum.com They must have known something, too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. I still say it should have been Don Money, but I guess he'll probably take over as 3B coach.
  9. Just call me Nostradamus. And sorry, casey, that's my last post in this thread.
  10. Penny would be a great addition.
  11. I was at the game, and what my wife wondered was- wasn't this supposed to be a home game for the Astros?? Why were they in the vistors dugout and bullpen???
  12. The Brewers need more players who can put the ball into play. Too many strikeout guys on the team lead to our streaky behavior. Sure, Cameron's numbers look good overall but those were in bunches. Hall is the same way, so is Weeks. They need to make some wholesale changes with their lineup construction next season.

  14. I'm just trying to find out if a manager has ever been let go this late in the season when their team was still "in it". I don't think it's happened, but in this case it probably should. They need some kind of spark. Given that the Brewers keep collapsing in September under Yost, the chances of him coming back at this rate are slim. Why not try something different? Who knows, maybe it'll take the pressure off.
  15. Why don't the Brewers grow a pair and try something different here? Go with Don Money down the stretch.
  16. I've been trying to find out this nugget, and have been unsuccessful. Who was the manager who was fired the latest into the season, and what date (how many games left)? Thanks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3585407 Houston still trying to get MLB to let them play at home.
  18. Since when does putting a guy with a .310 OBP help matters? Weeks OBP is higher than Hart's.
  19. Couldn't he be an injury replacement for someone that was postseason eligible, say Capuano or Branyan?
  20. There's a way we can finagle him onto the postseason roster, right?
  21. Merle Harmon, Al Michaels, Bobby Murcer
  22. Thanks a mint! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. I could use them, Pedro.
  24. Was just looking through the box from tonight's game and I noticed something I hadn't before. Prince Fielder is FOURTH on the club in slugging (Braun, Cameron, Hart lead him). Hardy is just .006 behind the Prince. I know he's having an "off" season, but man, what a dropoff.
