  1. Hoffman is good and would make a nice addition to the team, but he is pretty old to be pinning hopes on IMO.
  2. I'm liking the network so far. Some good stuff. The Hot Stove show is pretty good very informative.
  3. The news just showed a 19' tall snow man in Madison somewhere. It had car tires for a hat.
  4. I didn't web search the idea, but I did toss it around with the wife. I kind of used all the information we have discovered to this point and that's the best I can come up with. Perhaps in a prison camp of some sort this happened, or a disaster, accident, etc. I dunno but this is an interesting game to play.
  5. There's gotta be a better way to spend a day off than cleaning grout in your bathtub area.
  6. Guy gets jammed up somehow like a disaster of some kind. In order to live he needs to eat. He can't be the only one in the situation, there must have been more people some died, at least one other lived. Other survivor cooked up a dead person, told dude it was something of the area so he'd eat. Man who we are figuring out goes to the restaurant, orders what he thought he had earlier, realizes he was lied to and ate someone. Can't handle the realization, goes home, bumps himself off. Yes?
  7. Did this man unknowingly eat human flesh by being told it was something else? (perhaps "a") Did this man go into the restaurant order his food ("a"), eat a bite, realize that this is what ("a") must taste like and that he must have been told a lie and that he actually ate a human being?
  8. This is the first time I have tuned in. Some of the scheduling appears a bit mixed up but it's all good to be seeing the network come on the air. I'm not terribly impressed seeing game 3 of the 2008 World Series as my introduction to the network, but hey, at this point it is nice to see anything baseball.
  9. Would the food he ate be in violation of a religious belief? Would the food he ate be against some moral belief of his?
  10. Was he facing some terminal illness? Did an event occurring at the restaurant cause the suicide?
  11. Retail my friend. Cleaning offices or workplaces at night?
  12. Was it indeed suicide? Was his death caused by an accidental overdose?
  13. Did this person see something out side the restaurant that could have contributed to suicide? Had the man been contemplating suicide before going to the restaurant?
  14. It's time once again to think about some Softball. I don't mean in some whack-job, unhealthy, freak-boy kind of way though. I just mean you last season players need to confirm your slot for this upcoming season. This is for the team that I run. Games are at Sijan Field. Last season was not too good as far as winning goes. In years past, we have always played for fun and looked for equal playing time for all players. This season we will look to have fun of course, but following a different mind set as far as playing time and winning. Being a competitive team is fun. Winning is fun. I'm not saying we'll win the league, but getting only one win over a season sucks. All players from previous seasons are given priority to return and new players will be welcome to fill roster slots. Roster for the 2009 season will be locked up at 12-14 players. I'll determine a final number shortly, based mostly upon interest. This season there will be a co-captain. Nick, the Happy Youngster. Positions will be non rotating for the most part. Line ups will be determined by the team captains and kept pretty much the same from game to game. Brewerfan.net jerseys will be required of players. Jerseys are available from this site. Team Registration Fee is $210.00 : Your portion of that is going to be determined by the number of players on the team. Player/Ball Fees will be due at the first team practice. City of Milwaukee Residents pay $12, non-city of Milwaukee players pay $24. Ball fee will be determined after the recreation department holds the annual captains meeting. Please monitor this site for future announcements regarding fees and due dates. Players with secured roster spots are as follows: Brewerjamie15 Happy Youngster Valpocrewsader Radman12484 Jimbo Colbyjack Houlie24X Nullbyte Razzorsharp Baldkin IronChefNapalm If I have missed anyone, please let me know asap. I will be calling players for whom I have a 2008 player card with phone number. All returning players have until 15 January to reclaim their slot on the team. On 16 January, the roster will open if slots are available and close when the roster has reached capacity. Individual portions of the team fee are due on 14 February. Any questions can be asked here or via pm to myself. edit: For the 2009 season, game times have changed. Games will be 6:30/7:30/8:30 Thursday Evenings.
  15. Short notice, I know. If anyone wants to come show up at Kips Inn on Hwy 100 this evening, we'll be there at 9pm"ish". Come on out and hang with baseball/softball folks.
  16. I'll run the first team, but Kenny got himself traded to Houston so team 2 needs a captain if we are to play two leagues. Watch this board for an announcement shortly.
  17. The time is now 4:15 pm. I just got home from a long day. Before the wife gets home in about 45 minutes or so, I should probably pick up my clothes, clean the kitchen, and get my daughter and myself ready to go out for a bit. I'm laying on the couch right now, and there is pretty much no way I'm getting up to do any of that. I think I'm gonna take a 20 minute nap instead. Oh well.
  18. 2009 is here (or will be shortly) Hope the new year treats you and yours well. And now, I think I'm off to bed. It's 8:40pm and I'm totally exhausted. Oh well. Not much of a party dude anymore.
  19. Anyone like AMF Bowling: World Lanes? We got it because the bowling game that came with the unit is fun. The AMF game is pretty tough to say the least. Any tips or anything?
  20. Anyone know anything about MLB 2K9 as far as the game itself?
  21. I built a birdhouse for my mom and her fiance. The thing is pretty big. It is just over 2'x2'x about 3' tall. I bought my a few books by Michael Connelly (Lincoln Lawyer and Brass Verdict) Godiva Chocolates a whole ton of stuff for our daughter the wife got quite a haul as well- some tea and a tea maker, a Pink Floyd biography, a Brewers hat, coffee mug, other stuff I can't think of.
  22. Wii with extra controllers Ridgid air compressor with pin nailer, finish nailer, and stapler Miter box portable work stand eye glasses books sweaters Brewers T shirt can of cashews socks/boxers chef's knife 7" garlic press leather gloves leather wallet (which, after this year's Christmas, I have no cash to put into the wallet) Toy Story I,II on DVD T Shirt from my brother's Fire Station Santa and my mother -really- spoiled the family this year. I need to figure out though what it means that I got all the tools I did. I have a feeling Santa's place may need some work.
  23. We as your staff and moderators here at Brewerfan.net would like to wish all of you and your families a very happy holiday season. Everybody here, as members of this site, are an extended family of Brewers fans and it is because of the sites members that Brewerfan has become such a fine fan site. We as your staff, thank you for another year of contributions to the site. The Holidays are here again, and we all hope for a wonderful time full of family and good spirit. We wish you all safe travels to and from your gatherings, and the ability to slow down and reduce stress. Please take a moment to hug your loved ones and think about your good things in life. Hopefully 2008 was a good year for all of us, and here's looking forward to an even better 2009. edit: verbage
  24. I'm not quite sure I'll be able to get at the smoked salmon for tomorrow. There is so much snow drifted around the back yard, I only see about half of the smoker and am guessing it'll be about an hour to dig it out so I can get at the thing.
  25. So the wife went out to finish her Christmas shopping last night and came home with more stuff for herself than anyone else. Odd.
