  1. If we get this far down the line of extras, I'd sort of like one too. I have nothing really to trade though.
  2. Not to be a party pooper, but there are two prince bobble threads. This one is getting more looks.
  3. Buy more tickets. Other than that, ya only get one per person. technically, you'd need to go in with a ticket get your bobble go put it in the car or hand it to someone in the ballpark, and repeat the process. That's just the way it is. I think there are still ticket available to the game. There were in the fourth inning of today's game according to Powell.
  4. C'mon now you guys. You actually had to -ask- about a post game show? We work with WSSP on a frequent basis and they were the first ones in the Milwaukee area with a post game show. I'm a frequent listener of theirs and I gotta say it's a good program. I'll let ya slide Al, but next time, I gotta ask you to do 25 push ups. Heck, WSSP has a pre game show as well. Today Sparky even mentioned us and specified This Thread.
  5. Only 25 pages for the thread from the home opener game? C'mon now. What's up with that? I know lots of you were at the game, but really. I came home figuring this IGT would be pushing 50 pages long.
  6. try this link shut down: dupe
  7. This season, with our second team kicking off it's first year, we have a large group of softball players. Although we are in different leagues, Kenny and I have decided it is most convenient for us to have both teams practice together. This will allow for some scrimmage games and breaking down into groups for some better drills and practice time. Unfortunately, this will also limit our ability to offer "open" practices. If you are not on either team we will not have room for you. With such a large number of players we need the time alloted to be dedicated to members of each team. I apologize for this, but it's the way things must be run. Practices will be located at Sijan#2 if we can get the field. If the field is occupied or reserved, we will make alternate plans. This season, the park in Hales Corners will not be used for practice time. Practices will run from 11am until 1pm (ish) each Saturday: April 19,26, May 3rd, and May 10th (an all out scrimmage game). We realize that there are other priorities in life besides Brewerfan Softball, just please let your team Capt. know if you will miss a practice. I would like to request you do your very best to attend the first practice because Kenny and I have to get player cards filled out, fees collected, etc. Any questions, suggestions, or ideas for practice drills can be directed to this thread. Thanks guys, and let's have a good season! Jamie

  11. In the interest of financial concerns and limited time availability it has been decided that Brewerfan.net shall be going off line for a week. Starting 04 April the site will close down to access for a week allowing general changes and a financial opportunity decreasing views and therefore, running fees. When interviewed, Brian K. also known on the site as Brian the Automator sited a few specific reasons for this unfortunate action. 1. Money 2. Internet's agent is pretty strong and renegotiating contract is difficult 3. "I just need a break" 4. April Fool.

  14. BTW- Why was Gagne constantly flipping his left hand around like that for? He did it to the infield, outfield, catcher, dougout, the crowd, ???
  15. Now I can say I have officially posted to this thread. I could only watch the bottom of the ninth (made me sick) and then the good part, inning #10. The only thing worse than a Cub fan is a happy Cub fan. I'm glad to see them beaten. I really think I need to mellow out a bit. When Gagne blew the save I was outraged. Not totally because of the three run lead evaporating, but because those people at Wrigley Field cheering.

  19. I just called in my prescription. It will be ready by 3 pm.
  20. I just got out of the Manager's Meeting for the upcoming season and there are a few changes headed out way. #1- Bay Street was asked to leave our league and they are gone. #2- We are going to be using new balls this year. Instead of a .44 Core, we go to a .40 Core. This makes for a harder ball. #3 The pitchers mound will be altered. The distance of the rubber will remain the same, but a 5' rectangle will be added around the mound. The pitcher can pitch from anywhere in that rectangle. #4- Bay Street was asked to leave our league and they are gone. #5- Currently, our league, #MS-385 is two teams short so our schedules are not ready. We need two teams to be added before schedules are prepared. #6- Milwaukee Recreation Department no longer formally issues a banned bat list. All bats must be ASA Certified (marked on bat or web site) in order to be used. Any non-certified bat used results in player being banned from the league. #7- With a slightly more liberal acceptable bat policy and a harder ball being put in play this season, altered bats are being taken very seriously. Any player attempting to use, or actually using an altered bat will be banned from Milwaukee Recreation Department for life. No exceptions. You are gone for good. #8- Bay Street was asked to leave our league, and they are gone. Currently, of the 6 teams needed to create our league, there are 4. Us White House Landmark 1850 Milw. Church of Christ I will post our team schedule as soon as I receive it. I spoke with the league manager and was told there will be no problem filling the last two spots.
  21. ASA bat lists will be followed for the 2008 Milwaukee Rec season, all leagues. Absolutely no modifying of bats is acceptable. Fractions of rules will result in a life time ban of player(s) using altered bats. This simply means that although the Milwaukee Rec department no longer distributes a list of banned bats, there are still banned bats. You need to check bats for usage on the ASA web site. If ASA has outlawed it, you can not use it or you say goodbye to playing softball.
  22. I appreciate you people tormenting me with squirrel talk. The Tooth Fairy did stop by here and left $3.00 and a doll. I think that next time may be a bit less though.
  23. Our daughter just lost her first tooth. It pretty much just fell out of her mouth. Is $3 a good deal? What are some things/money amounts the Tooth Fairy left for -you-?
