    I swear, I only went over there to give the bar owner a piece of lasagna I made, and there was a little accident. I have NEVER -intentionally- induced alcohol. I thought the beer would be ok. I drank it not knowing I'd get wasted like I am right now. Nobody told -me- Beer could get me drunk. I promise. I have NEVER drank beer to get drunk. I only drank that beer because it was given to me for free and I did not want to be ungratefull. I'm trashed by accident and that's all your honor. hehe, I fooled everyone. I drank free beers and got hammered knowingly.

    After this game, I think I'm going to go nail my tongue to a 2X4 I was going to, but the wife took away my hammer. Guess I"ll just have to watch tomorrow's game instead.

    I'm trying to figure out why in the heck Ben Sheets was sent back out there after that disasterous inning. Don't you normally try to protect your ace more than that? BTW- this sucks, and I think some viewers of this game just may be visiting the ol' drunk thread this evening.

    I just heard the Colorado guy say that Hart is the fastest player on this team? Faster than Weeks and Hall? That's incredible. But i'm calling BS on that one. I dpn't know that Bill Schroeder is that great a judge on speedsters.

    bjames- I think you're a morally upstanding guy and that you're just looking for equality for all. I do believe however that you're fighting a lost cause. I think that if somebody is being insulted or slighted somehow you should let them deal with it, period. No reason to be getting yourself into hot water because person A is a jerk towards person B. When people feel the need to insult other posters because of ideas that differ from theirs, it makes the person doing the insulting look pretty small to the rest of the board and they will lose credibility quite quickly. I'm all for the job the moderators do around here, but if we as a whole can just learn to take things with a grain of salt and not automatically say something back to them that is flat out insulting, the moderators would not have to make "judgement calls" nearly as much. I also think that if someone gets somewhat out of hand we don't need a third party coming into the thread and whining about it. People just need to scroll down to another post and help the thread steer back into the correct direction. I guess what I'm saying is third parties coming into a stupid flame war only creates more anger and then the mods have to step in. I suppose the moral of this whole story is if "A" and "B" are arguing it's a good idea to "C" your way around it.

I refer to the man that could not handle a pitching staff of one. I refer to the man who this late in the season has not yet learned that his hitting coach "the Butcher" Wynegar is less able to instruct hitters than Joey Meyer would have been. I refer to the man who is one step behind the opposing dugout so often it seems that instead of using signals, Ned just goes to the top dugout step and yells to the runners: "Hey!
