  1. I think Harrison is going to be in the rotation, whether it's 5 or 6 guys, he's going to be in the top 5 imo.
  2. This is what you wrote: "something based on Jones for 1 of Henderson/Harrison/Sproat/Patrick could work." To me, that looks like you are proposing one of those players mentioned straight up for Jones. If that isn't what you meant, sorry for the confusion, but still, I wouldn't give up any of those players if Jones is the center piece of a deal from the Yankees.
  3. I would veto everyone of those trades. I wouldn't trade any one of the guys you mentioned for Jones straight up, no way in hell.
  4. Seen action is a a lot different than being able to play those positions at the major league level. At this point, it is LF, 1B or bust. Not a chance in hell we see Black play 3B, 2B, CF or RF for the Brewers. That ship has sailed and sank, sunk, or whatever...
  5. Impossible to know what number to get though...
  6. Woodruff is ONE guy, we need a lot more than a healthy Woody to go toe to toe with that rotation I'm afraid...
  7. At this point, any quality innings we get from Woodruff will be a luxury. I think we need to be prepared for the good chance we don't see Woodruff as our ace, a guy who eats innings and puts up the number we were once used to. Counting on him to be our playoff savior is probably just setting us up for disappointment. Best of luck to him, and I'll be pulling for him all the way, but...
  8. I can't believe how much Tony Gwynn Jr. sounds like his Dad. I had to google Tony Sr. just to make sure I wasn't making up that he had passed away...
  9. We have blue font for that here. I saw no blue font, and think he actually meant what he typed. No sweat, if he truly thinks Ortiz will DH 120 games, then so be it. Everyone has their ideas.
  10. Well, I find it hard to believe that you could honestly think Ortiz will DH 120 games for this team in 2026. What about his 2025 season leads you to believe this is a possibility? Again, would that mean that Yelich is playing left field for 100+ games?
  11. Wait, you are predicting Joey starts at DH 120 times this season? Where is Yelich going to play those 120 games? Interesting take.
  12. McGuire? Interesting...
  13. I think you know the reason why... Freddy was gone after this season no matter what, so we got what we could for him. Durbin became somewhat of a fan favorite, and had several more years of control. It was a pretty big surprise when Durbin was traded, but everyone knew Freddy's time here was limited. Most were already prepared to see Freddy go, not so much with Durbin.
  14. Name his price? Sounds great, but highly inaccurate.
  15. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die This movie started out great! I couldn't wait to see how it ended! Loved the message it was sending (especially as a retired high school teacher) Then, all of a sudden, about 2/3 of the way through, it became nonsense, garbage, and I totally lost interest. I had high hopes for this one after reading reviews, only to be majorly disappointed in the end.
  16. Would depend on a lot of factors, but once Yelich is gone (huge sigh of relief) Contreras could always be our normally scheduled DH, provided he was still hitting. I'm not saying we should or should not extend him, I'm just saying that we wouldn't always have to rely on him being our catcher, at some point, they all decline physically and defensively. The guy has earned an extension, but I don't see us doing that, it doesn't fit our typical MO. Oh hell, I guess I am taking a side after all. I don't think it would be a good idea to extend him unless he really does take a team discount, and I think we all know how that will play out.
  17. What's the over/under on him hitting the IL by May 1st?
  18. This is how I would guess things starting out, although if they start with a 6 man, I'd bump Henderson into the 6 spot. I am really REALLY hoping Woody avoids the injury bug, but I'm not 100% sold that is going to happen, so it is pretty nice having that deep of a rotation. I admit, I have no faith in Carlos Rodriguez, I was kind of hoping that another team would have interest, and he would have been part of a trade package this off season. Have they officially said that Hall is going to be a bullpen guy?
  19. Is Adams even still playing 3B? I've seen his name thrown around a few times with mentions of playing 3B, is that still a thing?
  20. He'll hit AAA for certain, I'd even say by midseason...
  21. The media, putting out misleading stories? SHOCKING!
  22. Twins signed LHP Andrew Chafin to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. It’s qualifies as a surprise that Chafin was forced to settle for a non-roster invite with the rebuilding Twins given his extensive experience as a high-leverage option at the highest level. The 35-year-old southpaw compiled a strong 2.41 ERA — 3.44 xERA — 1.43 WHIP and 36/19 K/BB ratio across 33 2/3 innings over 42 appearances between the Nationals and Angels last year. He’ll compete for a spot in Minnesota’s season-opening bullpen and offers some appeal for contenders in a couple months as a trade deadline target.
