    New Music

I've been debating mentioning this here since I rarely see any metal posts, but the new and last Megadeth album is just phenomenal! Coming from someone who has always been kind of meh on Megdeth too! They have had some good stuff over the years, but their catalog in general doesn't usually get me too excited. THIS album however, is just awesome!!! Been playing it in my car for the last month non-stop. I simply can't quit playing it!
  2. In today's pussified game, yes you can, and will...
  3. Honestly, I didn't care much at all, just wanted all our guys to get through it healthy, and we see how that went... Not sure what the answer is, but guys get hurt, we paid the price, all we can do now id hope he heals quickly and properly...
  4. Not sure why this post got slammed so hard. He did play through the pain and swelling for his WBC team. The Brewers do pay him. He wasn't ready when the season started. Probably wasn't necessary to throw in the smart comment, but as a Brewers fan, this is pretty annoying, we need him...
  5. Saw Project Hail Mary today too. AWESOME movie! Just awesome! I will say this, if you are waiting to see this movie via streaming, don't do it! This is a theater movie if ever there was one! Great movie!!!
  6. Quite honestly, this has the feel of one of those trades we will regret a year or two from now... (Reese Olson type of deal) I'm a big fan of Hunt, so I hate to see him go.
  7. Any opinions on the Handmaid's Tale? Wife and I just started the series, and are 3 episodes into season 2. Man, what a brutal series. Don't get me wrong, it's great! We can't stop watching, but it isn't a feel-good show, that's for sure.
  8. We are headed there in a week... Good luck!
  9. I don't think we see Yelich in the OF 20 games this year...For that to happen, something has gone dreadfully wrong. I think Yelich takes the bench for 10 or so games while Contreras is at DH... Yelich might miss another 20+ with some injury...
  10. My son lives out there, Avondale... He's been there about 6 months.
  11. Appleton final snow total - 27.5" Gross.
  12. Snow. Snow is bugging me. This storm we are experiencing in the Fox Valley is just insane! 50 mph winds on top of endless snow. I don't know the official tally yet, but we have to have close to 2 feet (hard to tell because of the insane drifting) and another possible 10 inches today, on top of that wind? Plows came through late last night for the second time, neighbor across the street appears to have 4 feet of snow at the bottom of his driveway. Looks like my side of the street was spared, but we'll get it later, that's a fact. They never dump it all on one side. I've been out three times making sure all vents, etc aren't covered up by snow. So far the furnace vents haven't been covered, but right up to the bottom (there is a tree that stops it from being completely covering right there), but all other vents have been drifted over all 3 times. This is just nuts. Anyone with elderly loved ones living alone in houses should definately check in on them. This is supposed to go on all day today until at least 4:00 pm. This might be the worst storm I can remember. We've had a lot of snow in the past, but never 2 straight days of this kind of hell...
  13. Wouldn't it be great if they could have a show without political pandering? I'm to the point now, that anything I see with political bias, either side of the isle, I just turn the channel. Not just awards shows, but all television in general. Nobody is changing anybody's mind these days, it's just a platform for those who feel superior to everyone else, to blather on and on. I don't watch news channels any longer, again, either side of the isle, it's all just sickening. Both sides pandering bias like it's candy. Where's Walter Kronkite (spelling) when we need him?
  14. It is really going to hurt me if we end up trading any of Wilken, Adams, and Burke. I realize we just can't have them all, and things will sort out, but I really like all 3, and there just isn't room. Did I see someplace that Adams could transition to an OF spot, or am I just making that up?
  15. I think we are late to that party. I wonder if we made any attempt previously? I think your offer would get politely turned down. 10/15/20/22/23 and we might have a shot! So 5/90 assuming he likes it here, and the direction we are headed. Who really knows, he might be looking at something bigger than that to consider. I also think that maybe, as an organization, we think we have his position covered in our next big wave of prospects, so the Brewers might be ok to let him walk, or trade him in his last contracted season.
  16. Sure... Are you questioning whether or not I thought it was a good idea to get pitching delth in the off-season? Of course it was, we ALWAYS need pitching depth, and it appears that even our immense depth is taking a hit with these latest developments.
  17. Take Gasser (just looks bad), Henderson (injury), and Priester (injury) out of our depth chart to start the season, and suddenly all that depth doesn't look as good as it did pre-spring training. *yikes* Sure hope Woody is ready...
  18. The Bride Not sure why this is getting such negative press to be honest. I really enjoyed it. Not my favorite movie or anything like that, but I thought it was interesting, strange, and different. Jessie Buckley was crazy good in this one! Not sure they could have cast that role any better! Definitely worth seeing imo.
  19. I think it may have been a mistake not signing a proven vet innings eater to start the season. I think we could have had Quintana, and although he isn't a savior, I'd feel better with him early in the season at least. We just have soooooo many question marks with that rotation. Guys with promise, yes, but I don't think it's a very good idea to have 3 spots in the rotation resigned to guys who just aren't proven yet. Hell, even Miz isn't exactly proven. If he falters early on, then what. Next guy up I suppose. If Woodruff and Priester don't show up, we are in some kind of trouble imo. It's exciting, yet also a bit scary...
  20. Shut him down. He's too important to our season... Send him back to training camp where we can get a proper diagnosis and keep an eye on what we are dealing with.
  21. I think this board sometimes gets caught up in players and their long gone prospect status. Bohm is just a guy now. Didn't meet prospect expectations, and isn't going to. If he was next to free, sure, give him a shot, but that isn't the case, time to turn the page.
  22. Geez. Well, the odds of getting everyone through spring training healthy are probably pretty low. Hopefully they don't start dropping like flies now that the seal is broken.
  23. Definitely not the news we want to hear, and exactly the reason why having a lot of starting pitching depth is important...
