  1. Saw Creed III yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for the Rocky franchise. (I do admit though, seeing the beatings these guys take in the movies, and knowing full well that in real life, there would be death or total and complete brain damage, I find some of the unrealistic beatings to be a bit much. Was the same throughout all the Rocky and Creed movies though, so this isn't anything new)
  2. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm still hoping we trade him before this season gets going... Trading him at the deadline would be pretty foolish, as you have stated above, but if we want to max out the haul, trading him now, with 2 years left before free agency seems to be the wise thing to do. If we wait until this off season, and he only has one year left, we won't be getting nearly the haul we would get now. imo All it would take is for one of the big time contenders to lose a big arm due to injury in spring training. Teams would come calling if they need a starter, and that is when it's time to take what we can get in a major haul!
  3. All I know is that watching any of these three guys leave is going to be painful, but it's part of the deal, and the way things are in today's game. Sad as it is.
  4. If we are going to rely on Winker and Naquin as outfielders with any substantial amount of playing time, while we have guys like Frelick and Wiemer just banging on that door, it will be a travesty. EVERY game counts (as we once again found out last season), we need to put the best team on the field from day one. If that means Frelick starts from the 1st game on, so be it.
  5. I'll enjoy a shorter game watching on TV, but in person, at the ballpark, I think I might feel a bit cheated.
  6. If a trade with BAL doesn't happen now, before Henderson and Rodriguez get a true foothold in MLB, it won't happen. The deadline will be way too late, by that time, one or both could be superstars!
  7. I don't know about everyone else, but 2 1/2 hour games seem too short.
  8. Chourio is not in any way a comparison to Grisham. I mean, those two guys are on totally separate planets.
  9. I like these changes, and if the thumbs down causes an issue, I'll be shocked.
  10. I feel like Super Bowl Sunday is just a way for people to act like they care who wins the game. It seems to me like a lot of people fake interest in the game itself. I never give a rip about the super bowl unless my team is playing. (2 times has this happened in my life, both times, my team won!) There have been some super bowls I don't even bother tuning into. I simply don't care. The halftime shows have become nonsense that only the young crowd can enjoy. I mean, there have been artists that are so big they can play the super bowl halftime show, yet I have never even heard of them. The entire build up is so commercially driven that it turns me off. The best thing about the super bowl is that it brings us that much closer to baseball season.
  11. Where is the best place to grab a burger/shuttle coming from the North? (Fox Cities)
  12. That is beyond ridiculous. Why people use these sites is beyond me.
  13. Does it taste exactly like the stuff in the restaurant? Sometimes, the restaurant branded stuff just isn't as good as the stuff that is actually served in the restaurant.
  14. Trading Houser now, after his 2022 season would be selling low. See where we are into spring training. I see people saying teams with injuries might need him, hell, we could be one of those teams with injuries, so trading him with such a low value now would be stupid.

  16. Might be a stupid question, but for those of us who are not gamers, will this show make sense if not having played the games? (the Last Of Us)
  17. I think we only have one person here who keeps bringing up the flip Winker nonsense. He has been told several times by pretty much everyone who comments that it is not going to happen, but he continues to beat that horse.
  18. I've taken the Kelly's Bleachers shuttles several times. Costs $20, but they give you a $20 food voucher, so we just go there, park, go into the bar and eat (using the $20 voucher), then shuttle over to the stadium. I highly recommend it to anyone! The shuttle ride back to the bar after the game can be pretty rowdy with the drunks though, probably not the best for young kids.
  19. Harry was brought up a lot, I mean, A LOT! I don't remember any mention of other original characters other than Harry though. You are so right about the original show, I think it will be so hard to make this work in todays climate.
  20. Drug/medication commercials. Especially the ones that have to be prescribed. UGH! Do people really take note of these commercials and ask their doctor for certain brand names based on these commercials? Seems like a giant waste of money for these companies if you ask me. If I need a medication, I'm pretty much relying on my doctor to set me up, not asking for ones that I have seen advertised.
  21. If Anderson and Winker are performing well enough that other teams would want them at the deadline, then it would be foolish to deal them. That means they are having good seasons and helping us win. We signed them in hopes of them helping us win, if they are doing that, trading them seems foolish.
  22. I also watched and was hoping for better results. I'll keep watching for a couple more episodes, but if it doesn't get better, I doubt I'll keep tuning in. It was just kind of blah...
  23. So Anderson, who hits righties better will be starting against lefties? It's Keston Hiura all over again. *sigh*
  24. We can't possibly know this is awesome until we see what he is getting paid. 1 year 4 million, ok... 2 years 22 million, not awesome at all.
