I can not pinpoint why, but I have lost interest in the home run derby. It's just "meh" to me these days.

Cooper Pratt? Absolutely no thanks to that deal.

CBS Sports: Braylon Payne, OF, Elkins HS (TX): Payne has an angular frame and some exciting power and speed tools. He's going to require some serious development time and instruction in order to maximize those traits, however.

Are we just trying to be cute and outsmart other teams? Man, did anyone, anywhere see that coming?

Devin Williams looked unhittable today, so there is that. Yes, he faced A+ hitters, but he was totally in charge, struck out the side on 14 pitches, and only one guy even fouled one off.

What would we have to give up and where would he play?
  7. TURBO
lol 3 months of Adames for what, 5-6 years of Miller? That offer would never be made because the Brewers know they would be laughed off the phone.

    Gross.

Keuchel was signed to eat innings and keep us in games, nothing more. No way did they think he'd be anything more than that. 5.1 innings 2 earned runs 4.1 innings, 0 earned runs 3.0 innings, 3 earned runs. I'm sure they want more than 3 innings out of him, but we sign a garbage pitcher, everyone knows he's a garbage pitcher, yet people want to complain about the results? In all honesty, he's been way better than I expected...

10 runs, not 1 run. Often, when we bench our better hitters, we score a ton of runs, because well, baseball...
  11. TURBO
No Turang and no Yelich. Probably means we score 10 runs today.

I guess we have to have a different line-up every day... I read an article a couple years ago, asking players if they prefer the same spot in the daily line-up, or if they don't really care. It was like 3/4 of the players (I don't recall exact breakdown, but 3/4 sticks in my head) want to be in the same spot in the line-up on a daily basis and 1/4 said they didn't care one way or the other. Counsell never had the same line-ups, and Murphy is following suit. So strange that we go from Chourio in the 9 hole the day before, to leading off the next day. Not a fan of seeing Monasterio in the line-up at all. I hope this is just an off day for Turang, even though it's only 2 games before the break.

If Mitchell does in fact need some spring training time, why is it being given at the MLB level. Send the guy down to AAA for a few weeks to right the ship. He isn't helping the Brewers or himself with the poor showing so far.

This is a message board, and when you post stupid trade ideas, you are going to get people who disagree with you. You need to be able to deal with that. Not sure why you are thinking that just because some random stranger on the internet tells me to stop replying to his/her stupid trade suggestions, that I'll listen, in fact, now you have just challenged me. lol

Once Sanchez is healthy again, we are fine.

    Please stop.

Areinamo has been such a joy to watch this year, both offensively AND defensively. I'm still really concerned about all that movement in his stance and swing, and it's probably far too late to try and change it, but I'm expecting him to be called up to AA anytime now.
  18. TURBO
C'mon, breaking that extremely meaningful and important record was top priority!
  19. TURBO
    ...in AAA.

Mitchell with the low effort non-dive really irritates me. That ball should not have dropped in front of him.
  21. TURBO
Looked like a high school play there Abrams...
  22. TURBO
Contreras has been whiffing a lot on outside pitches. It certainly seems like all pitchers he faces are going outside a lot recently. They seem to have him figured out. :(
  23. TURBO
    So far, true statement.

    That'll work Willy!

Super nice human being as well. Very personable and friendly, willing to chat it up.
