  1. Almost done with season 2 of Westworld. Meh. Starting season 1 of Game of Thrones next. I am that guy, the one who has never seen a single episode of GoT. That is about to change.
  2. Rocket Man is NOT a must see movie... In fact, I'd rather have my money back. About half way through, I started thinking about what I was going to do when I left the theatre. Started watching the clock, waiting for it to be over. Borefest.
  3. Thanks for the information. Will be checking that out at some point. Pretty sure it will be out on dvd in the near future so I can add it to the Deadwood series.
  4. Must be on HBO?
  5. Wait, what? There is a Deadwood movie?
  6. Yup, just started it. On episode 5. I like it so far... Really cool concept.
  7. Has anyone watched Westworld? It has been recommended to me and I admit, it looks interesting... Is it worth my time?
  8. Sad that "Big Bang Theory" is finished. I wasn't impressed with the finale, but I have watched that show since episode one. Will be missed.
  9. Colbert and most late night hosts are unwatchable for me. It would be nice if we as a society could separate entertainment form politics, but will probably never happen again. Politics has entered every form of entertainment from professional sports (NFL and ESPN) to sitcoms, to talk shows. I find it disgusting. Probably because I am a conservative, and there are so few conservative voices in our media.
  10. for sure... that was just bad tv.
  11. I stuck with House of Cards. First season was definitely the high point.
  12. I haven't seen the HBO prison drama, OZ, mentioned anyplace yet. That show was must see for me back in the day... Others that deserve some recognition imo: Deadwood: Oh how I wish they had given this one more time... Fargo Entourage : A guy show, but found it entertaining as hell. The League Eastbound & Down Mad Men NYPD Blue
  13. Twin Peaks has always been on my to do list, have just never gotten around to checking it out...
  14. How does the Wire compare to The Shield? Being a Sheild fan, I was told by several people I would also like the Wire...
  15. I am assuming you also watch Better Call Saul? Another great show!
  16. The Sopranos is one of my top 10 favorite shows of all time... Sons of Anarchy (Sopranos on motorcycles) is also in my top 10. I have not seen the Wire, but have been told it is great! I did enjoy The Shield, but often felt dirty after viewing it. Love Justified, also a great series. Sorry for the random comments.

    New Music

I wish I could find some new music that I actually liked. I'm not a fan of anything having to do with rap, hip hop, dance, or any music that doesn't incorporate guitars, actual drums (not something electronically replacing an actual rhythm section) and rock and roll. Rock and roll seems to be a dirty word these days, which bums me out. I'm looking forward to the new Sammy Hagar effort with his band the Circle...
  18. Two topics I hate on tv shows: Marriage Baby(s) Those two things almost always make me lose interest, yet they all do it...
  19. Just finished the 4th and final season of The Affair. Loved this series from the start. Enjoyed the ending.
  20. That is exactly what I thought about Serenity. Movie is moving along nicely, it's enjoyable, then BAMO! Wrecked with stupid nonsense.
  21. I saw Serenity last night. I won't spoil anything, but I was very VERY unhappy with the twist that takes place in the last 1/4 of the movie. Up until that point, it was great! After the twist was revealed, it was crap. Had I known anything about the twist, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Disappointing.
  22. Loved Sons of Anarchy, however, the spin-off, Mayans has left me disappointed. It just hasn't held my interest enough to properly binge watch the entire season that I have stored on my dvr. I've only been watching one episode at a time, whenever I have some extra time. Not a show I made extra time for... Was just expecting a lot more...
  23. Cheers, one of the all time greats. I'd put M*A*S*H in that category as well.
  24. I own the entire series of Taxi on dvd. It is classic stuff.
  25. Awespme, I haven't checked that out yet, but loved season one.
