This sums it up for me. The lot they gave up really caused me grief. I was attached to Diaz and Monte due to their time in Appleton. I'm over it, and looking forward to 4 more years of MVP seasons!

Just binge watched both seasons of October Road. It was a short lived series (2 seasons) from I think 2007 or 2008. Just love it!! It got cancelled after it's second season (which bothers me to this day) and didn't get to resolve anything, so on the DVD issue, there is a short "ending episode" that did not air which at the very least ties it up nicely. For whatever reason, this show hit a nerve with me, and is one of my favorites of all time.

Wait, Last Man canceled, meaning after this season? Oh boy, the way they left after last week's episode, and they are going to pull the plug? This is just horrible news. RATS!

yup, I haven't watched this season though, all on the dvr. Plan to binge it this summer. I have really enjoyed this series.

I have to disagree with you. Sure, seeing Jennifer Lawrence in full dominatrix mode was entertaining, but the cast around her was weak. Oh well... agree to disagree then.

I used to watch the Blacklist, but after season 3 I think, I gave up... Just became uninteresting to me. Spader is awesome though!

The shows I look most forward to watching are as follows: Walking Dead Better Call Saul Fargo Orange is the New Black American Pickers Survivor Big Brother After those, there are a lot of shows I DVR, but I could live without them. One that is on the bubble for me is Designated Survivor. Great concept to start, but now it is shark jumping almost every week. I really like The Good Place and Corporate. Big Bang Theory is always good for laughs. The Mick is also a show I enjoy, and The Detour is hit and miss. One week it is really good, then the next is meh. EDIT: I left off LA to Vegas, so far I have really enjoyed this show... It is actually funny every week!

Take Braun's 20 million off this years payroll, and we sign Darvish or Arrieta without hesitation. Braun's contract is always looming, and no matter how anyone rationalizes it, it will/is preventing us from signing a TOR type guy, or two...

3 for 60 million? I'd take that over 5 @ 80 million every time with a player his age. I get it, that wasn't going to happen.

I had already convinced myself that Brinson was gone, so losing him had no effect on me, it was inevitable it seemed. The sting of Diaz and Harrison will lesson over time, but I was attached to both players, especially Diaz. I'm very happy we were able to hold on to Burnes, Ortiz and to some extent Woodruff (not as high on him as some) so that is the plus in my thought process.

Doesn't that mean.. it's not an overpay? As I’m reading people talk about over pay as if this is 2002, the guys on MLB network are slobbering over the Cain acquisition. Speaking about how he only has to be a 2-win player per year for the contract to be worth it. Hell he could have that in two seasons. We'll see how that plays out in years 4 and 5 of Cains contract. There is a pretty good chance we have that bloated contract on the books when we need to have the money for another player at that time, but will be strapped. I might be wrong, but so could everyone else.

I think it is obvious we overpaid in both transactions, however, that is the market, and DS thought he had to do what he did. You have to pay to play. Are we currently better for the 2018 season, yes. Will this trade make us better in 2020, we shall see.

For me it's not underrating him as much as wondering if the difference between him and what we already had was worth trading 4 prospects for. I would have prefered not to have done this deal but not overly fussed about it either. One thing I do like about this is he is the type of hitter that we don't have a lot of. I'm a fan of having different types of hitters in the lineup and we were missing his type of hit tools. Completely 100% agree with you on this. Take away the aspects of the trade and I'm extremely happy that Yelich is a Brewer, he's the type of hitter I wish we had more of in the lineup. Trading 4 prospects for him is what I'm not extremely happy about. Fully agree with both of you, you stated it perfectly.

I just spent the entire evening, the last 3 hours, flipping back and forth between the Major League Forum and Rumors/Transactions forum and had no lag time between posts. Constant outpouring of posts. That was fun... Let's see what tomorrow brings!

I'd like to see Broxton go for some prospects. Braun in left, Yelich in center, Santana in right. Or Santana in center and Yelich in right. Phillips as 4th OF. Santana in CF? Oh boy, no way, no how, not even a consideration.

You sound like you're on the same roller coaster I'm on. Initial reaction hate it. Calmed down a bit now, and by tomorrow who knows I'll probably love it. Yeah, I did hate it initially, and still do, but what's done is done, and it has to be accepted, we have no choice. Hopefully Yelich makes me forget right off the bat in April, and all will be well. I'll keep a close eye on the guys we lost though, just to see if I was right...

I just really thought Brinson would be a center piece in a trade for pitching, not another outfielder...
