    Pizza

Just so the board knows, Pothole frozen pizzas at Kwik Trip are BOGO free the day after Packer victories. Not sure if that carries over into the playoffs, but for the regular season games, it is still going on. Super deal on GREAT pizzas.
  2. If he is the MVP he would be the least deserving of it in a long time. His stats this year are not MVP level for a QB. The TD's are not there and the passing yards are not either. If Herbet threw 5 less INT's he would be walking away with the MVP award. JT should be the MVP without a doubt. There really isn't a QB this year who is putting up MVP numbers. Tom Brady says hello.
  3. Via Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Bruce Arians said that he was trying to get Brown to enter the game, and that Brown refused. Arians tried again, and Brown refused again. At this point, Arians told Brown to get out.
  4. I'd like to think that's the case but I was just talking with a high school teacher recently and this is pretty much the student behavior he described that he deals with everyday. AB is an adult... He is dealing with mental issues, it's obvious. He's been a bit whacky for years, always on the edge. The fact the Bucs got a productive season out of him last year is amazing to me. He always seems to be teetering on the edge of mental breakdowns. I read on twitter he left the stadium with no shirt, and got into a police car. Again, a normal, sane person doesn't act like this.
  5. I'm guessing the Jets will pay for him to catch a different flight. Putting him on the team plane will be a disruption. This was an almost entirely predictable end to his tenure in the NFL. Maybe not stripping down and running out of a stadium, but I think him having some kind of meltdown and getting cut was always in the cards. Just bizarre behavior. He is dealing with some severe mental issues, he has to be, sane people don't act like that...
  6. Not that I have seen........................................yet.
  7. So they have to play a no QB team, and the Lions? lol Looks like a done deal.

    Pizza

if you have a Jet's Pizza nearby you should give it a try Yeah, Jet's is pretty good. Nice change of pace from the Little Ceaser's and Pizza Hut types (both of which I enjoy). I've never tried Marco's but will at some point. I've heard good and bad about them.
  9. In other words, "Let them play!" Players will not admit mild symptoms, and will do all they can to be asymptomatic. No way they will admit anything if they are going by the honor system.
  10. Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports that the Mets plan to make Jeff McNeil available via trade after the lockout ends. Ragazzo says that the club intends to target pitching help in return. It wouldn't be the ideal time to shop McNeil since he's coming off a disappointing .679 OPS in 2021, but the Mets "have received a substantial amount of calls" asking about his availability, per Ragazzo. Ragazzo also mentions in the report that McNeil's relationship with several teammates has "soured" following an altercation with Francisco Lindor in May, which apparently boiled over in part due to McNeil sometimes refusing to comply with the Mets’ defensive shifting philosophy. McNeil, who turns 30 in April, is under team control through 2024. SOURCE: SI.com Dec 24, 2021, 11:59 AM ET
  11. Scotty Miller I rest my case. lol He has made one play in his NFL career, it just so happened to be the play that Packers fans will most remember...
  12. Tampa is in dire trouble this week, and probably the weeks to come. Godwin out for the season including play-offs. Mike Evans out this weekend, and more than likely the week after. Fournette out the remainder of the regular season, and I highly doubt he is 100% for the playoffs. (at least they have a capable back-up in Ronald Jones) Antonio Brown who is able to play this weekend after being suspended, but is now questionable due to an injury this weekend. They have no receiving corps left and are down to fumes. We saw what that meant last week with no legit targets, even with Brady throwing the ball. They simply have nothing. Defense is still not healthy and hasn't been all season. Antoine Winfield not playing this weekend. LaVonte David is out the rest of the season, a HUGE blow... Even the GOAT Tom Brady can't be expected to perform magic tricks when his #1 WR now becomes Tyler Johnson. With their top 3 offensive weapons out, it is going to be tough sledding to score points the remainder of the season. Looks like it will be the Brady-Gronk show for the next 3 weeks... I'm sure this makes Packer/Cowboy/Cardinal/Rams fans extremely happy knowing they probably won't have to play in Tampa to get to the Super Bowl. I was really looking forward to another Packers Buccaneers showdown in the playoffs this year, but now, not so much...
  13. Sorta the phrase stopgap? We have those 1st rd OF picks that could(small pct) progress on to the team come Sept 1st. But may need in to 2023 before inserting themselves in the lineup. Lets just remember a part of this trade is due to Garcia being able to opt out. Fully believe Bradley and Garcia were targeted to be the stopgaps. Also Bradley's move came post 2020 knowledge of a Cain opt-out, that I think was protection to the 2021 Cain. We are almost done with 2/3rds of the expensive OFs when these guys in the minors make it to the team. Taylor has a backup at CF covered but doesn't have the middle of order thump Renfroe replaces what Garcia fortunately brought in 2021. The fact that Stearns may be able to remove the cost of Bradley's buyout with a non-tender potential to Renfroe in 2023 if all comes together? Cain will be gone. That could grant an ability to extend the best deal among Woodruff, Burnes, Adames, Urias or to a FA signing is the genius on the move. The ability to allocate the money in to a more deserving player. Agree with most of what you said, but I see Taylor as the primary CF starter, not the backup. Cain's entering the final year of his deal and turns 36 in April. Ideally he's a part time player who is a big contributor but not an every day player. We need to see what Taylor can do with 500 PA. His ceiling right now is higher than a 36 year old Cain. I'd love Taylor to get that shot, but I don't see it happening without a Cain injury, which of course is inevitable. Taylor just might see 400-500 ABs this year depending on how many times Cain is inured, and the severity. I'd guess Cain doesn't play in more than 80 games this year. That leaves more than 80 starts for Taylor in CF, plus the fill ins in the corner positions for off days and injuries. I hope he stays healthy and proves the doubters wrong this season!
  14. #3 which will provide a ton of injuries all season long due to not preparing correctly for the season...
  15. So good!
  16. Geez, now I feel like I have to google Mrs. Claus images... (at home of course, not at work.)
  17. Nope, but if he were the first and last to act like that, then you'd have a valid point. This stuff happens in the NFL constantly. Not to mention, I think you are making the situation you speak of quite a bit more dramatic than it was...
  18. So on point. Rodgers has historically been torn apart for doing exactly what Brady did last night….. Rodgers hasn't won 7 super bowls...
  19. LOL 25 hours and $5 extra for 150 hours? I get unlimited for free with YouTube TV. But you keep on doing you and paying for that horrible customer service. We will see you in 2-years from now when you are again complaining about how they won't bring the price down for you. 2 years? If it is really that bad, I won't stay 2 years, no contract. I can handle $120 a month (including the larger dvr storage, internet, and tv) and be able to watch Brewers games. The Bally Sports channel is the deal breaker for me. I'll pay extra for that, no problem at all. I just see no reason to pay Spectrum $238 when I can get the same deal for 2 years with TDS for about $120-$125. If you guys who go back and forth between streaming services, and can't watch the Brewers, feel it's worth it for you and what you do, then have at it. I am not sticking up for TDS by any means, just seems like they are worth a try.
  20. TDS pricing: TV/Internet/Landline $118 including all fees and taxes. (we are not married to a landline, the only reason we still have it is because it was cheaper to have it with spectrum than dropping it due to their bundle pricing.) If we drop the landline, that is another $10 off the $118... so $108. Free Installation. DVR included with 25 hours, only $5 extra per month for 150 hours. Price is guaranteed for 2 years, no contract. Looks like I will get the same service I am getting now with Spectrum for less than half the cost. My neighborhood won't have TDS until the spring, but at least it looks like this is the way to go for a ton cheaper!!!
  21. That is probably for the best anyway... Why would you start smoking now?
  22. Sure, but that's not the argument. People keep saying it's a "below average" offense. It's very clearly, objectively, an average offense. Could it be better? Yes. Would they be better positioned for post season success if the offense were better than average? Absolutely! But it's an average offense. It's not a below average offense, which is what a lot of people continue to try to insist. Ok, let's say our offense was average... We had WAY above average pitching, so coupling that with an average offense wasn't enough to go deep into the playoffs. Maybe we can just agree on that much and move on.
  23. Brewers averaged 4.56 runs per game vs an MLB average of 4.53 runs per game. NL average was a little lower without the DH at 4.46 runs per game. Brewers position players posted a 97 wRC+. Taking out JBJ it would have been about 102. The offense was almost exactly average last year. Once again, it appears that you are defending "average" when we all know darn good and well, that our "average" offense was not good enough to make it out of the 1st round of the playoffs. Our pitching is world class, and as good as it was, it was NOT enough to get us through the first round, and certainly not enough to make it to, or win the world series. So whether or not you think average is good enough, and that average will take us to the promised land, most of us know it isn't enough, and we have living proof based on last season. You can throw out any stat you want to prove your point, but there is no way that the offense we put on the field last year was average, it just wasn't. If having an average offense is our goal, once again, we will waste all of our great pitching. It is obvious to me, a guy who watches every game (well, 90% anyway), that last years offense wasn't good, and if we do nothing but replace Garcia with Renfroe, this year's offense will be no better. We need a thumper, a genuine middle of the order legit bat. Without that one piece, or in a perfect world, 2 of them, we are doomed to repeat last year, and that is assuming our pitching gives us a repeat performance, which we can't possibly hope for.
  24. Yes, very much so. The conservative side in any character seems to be taboo this days on television as well. They never step up and say it, but you know where Frank and his Dad lie, and probably Danny...
