    LA, LA, LA, WEST COAST, WEST COAST, LA, LA, LA. This is what the voters see, and that is what they will see when it comes time to vote. Burnes needs to have an excellent outing next time up so the voters can see what he does against their damn west coast team. Imagine if he goes 6 strong, no runs, 9 ks? Doubtful he goes 6 no matter how well he is doing to be honest. It will take a good showing against the freaking Dodgers for the voters to maybe take notice.

    The issue with that is that he is taking up a roster spot from someone who could improve us. If JBJ is 2021 JBJ next season, he just clogs up the roster. If I could move him, even for next to nothing in a trade, I'd do it yesterday. His salary is just such a waste if it prohibits us from signing someone useful. How can this even be an argument?

    If Stearns is as great as most think, he will find a way to move JBJ this offseason... (half blue)

    That might be extreme, but at this moment in time, yeah, he can't be trusted with common sense...

    Depending on the severity of the break, and recovery time, his value could have dropped immensely. The hand is a delicate thing when it comes to multiple bones being present. There is no way to know if he will ever be effective again until he actually is recovered and throwing. not sure any team would over pay for him now, until he has proven himself again. If it was a minor break, everything will probably be ok, if it was severe, all bets are off until he throws again.

    It would still be nice to get to that 97 wins, 2 more is all it takes. Anderson pitching lessons the chance of that happening. I understand why Anderson is starting, I just don't want to watch it.

    We’ve already had issues here in our school/town. I heard that October’s challenge is “Slap a Staff Member.” *sigh* o-boy….. Yup, same here. I also read that another tik tok challenge is going to be loosen the lug nuts on teacher's cars. That is pretty disgusting. Then we are getting away from assault, vandalism and theft and straight into attempted murder. I have 150 school days left in my teaching career, I simply can't wait to be done...

    I'm looking forward to the Top Gun sequel, not that I am expecting it to be great, more so for nostalgic reasons.

    In theory, I agree, however, I think that the majority of college students are there to either kill time before hitting the real world, or to get the piece of paper that says they did something with their life. In today's campus political climate, I doubt anyone is becoming well rounded, in fact, it feels like the opposite is happening.

    Why are so many so quick to slam hot takes on trades and acquisitions? Every single person on these boards has posted things that didn't age well. Why do we have to have it pointed out so child-like on so many occasions? Is it to make the people doing the finger pointing feel good about themselves? It's just so.....catty. Geez.

    I would just like to see the Cardinals relegated to "who cares" status on national telecasts. Otherwise this game doesn't matter ... even in the slightest. I guess it would be pretty cool to see this Brewers team set a franchise wins record, though. Even better to do it at the expense of the Cardinals...

    It seems ridiculous when you look at his numbers that he is below .500 in the win column. Just another reason why that stat is so worthless...

    How often do teams even throw at each other on purpose anymore? Not like there is a stat out there, or even a way to know if it ever happens anymore for that matter...
