  1. A Braves fan would give you an entirely different outlook is my guess...
  2. The Dodgers are what is wrong about baseball Have an injury or underperformer? Just go buy a star. If for some reason you can't buy a star, pay pennies on the dollar in trades for other teams' stars. Easy way to win. so very sad.
  3. Are we really going to end the season dropping 5 of 6? Thank God for the Mets.
  4. You don't think Ashby is legitimate? How long has he been in that role? He is a legit question mark for sure...
  5. The saddest thing about the above comments is that we can't even mention Yelich.
  6. #1 Williams - If we had someone, a legitimate replacement for him, I'd put him lower, but we don't, so I think in terms of which injury hurts the most, it is Williams. #2 Belt - It could be argued that he would be #1 on this list, after all, who steps in the play 1B for them that can hit like him? Still going with Williams, we have to reconfigure the back end of our bullpen now that Williams is out. I just don't think we have another arm for his role that can be depended on. #3 Kershaw - They have so much great starting pitching (Kershaw is probably their #4), they won't miss a beat without Kershaw. (who has had a lot of issues in playoff baseball in the past anyway) You could add Bauer to that list too, not an injury, but not having him made a difference for sure. They had to go out nd get Scherzer... Poor Dodgers.
  7. Yeah, not a fan of that line of thought at all...
  8. Maybe Hauser if they lose tonight and the NL West is still undecided. Otherwise a bunch of guys pitching 1-2 innings each. I’m surprised he wants to have Woodruff and Peralta go so long in between appearances. HOUSER
  9. He's our 3rd or 4th starter anyway...playoffs or not.
  10. Nothing new....Just kidding no biggie...
  11. I don't think they will throw the B team against Burnes, who has a legit shot to win the Cy Young over Scherzer. I think they will be guns a blazing vs a Burnes start...
  12. Nope, I don't buy it. Scherzer has any tie breaker in the minds of those who vote based on being a Dodger, one of the holy teams in MLB. This of course is my opinion, I have no evidence or scientific proof.
  13. Agreed, it would be asinine to dump him because of this... I think those who said that were just venting, at least I hope. I mean, what are the odds that he punches a wall again, EVER?
  14. I mean…the Crew ranks 10th in runs scored. I’m sure that number is higher if you kick out the first month. They haven’t been great/dynamic lately. But they are just fine. That number might be higher, however, if you remove every teams worst month, they might still be at #10.
  15. Forgive me, but I'm not seeing the prediction here. I think the first line in his post explains why you don't see a prediction. Just saying... "I’m not going to make a prediction on a series that I consider a true toss up."
  16. I agree, I'm not easily offended though...
  17. https://fansided.com/2021/09/30/rays-kevin-cash-trolls-brewers-devin-williams/?a_aid=40734&fbclid=IwAR28c0zksgyLlLbTrzbUf_UVbFDbXJBztNAQWJDulD287G9hINpVbuDl0BU
  18. Even if it meant exiting the playoffs and the chance to lose millions of dollars?
  19. too soon man, too soon...
  20. [sarcasm]Yah, ridiculous Devin Williams is being compared to an innocent man.[/sarcasm] lol, this is hilarious. good one!
  21. Stearns probably has a good opinion of O.J. Simpson if that is his point of view. Equating a fluke, accidental injury to oneself to double murder. What the heck is wrong with you? It's stunningly ironic how a bunch of you are labeling Williams as someone with anger issues all the while your very reactions suggest you have a severe inability to cope properly with a setback to your favorite sports team. Ugly stuff. C'mon man... The reactions to this happening are to be expected when discussing our favorite sports team. A lot of us are serious fans, we take this stuff serious. Is that healthy, probably a different topic, but you can't condemn real true fans for being passionate about the team they love, and support, and put endless hours in watching and posting about... The judging going on in this thread by respected posters is just ridiculous. I highly doubt that most posts in this thread, if in the real world and not on an internet message board, are the real true feelings, one way or the other. Those who wish harm on Williams, I doubt that is what they really want. Those who act like it's no big deal, he made a mistake have to feel a little disappointment and anger, even if they are to high and mighty to admit it. He did a stupid thing, a really stupid thing, and yes, I'm extremely disappointed, and maybe even angry about it. Like most here, I put a lot of time into this team, and I have the right to feel the way I feel, so judge away, but none of you are as perfect as you want the rest of us to believe.
