  1. Was never going to happen...I think we all actually knew that, but we get caught up in the "what if" part of the deadline stuff.
  2. Hopefully that is true, and Tyrone gets to take advantage by playing every day. Switch off JBJ and Old Man Cain in CF, let Garcia handle right, and Taylor handle Left. I know full well that this will not be the game plan that CC uses, but it is the one that makes the most sense.............................IMO
  3. Crossing my fingers for this one. Would obviously give us an epic starting rotation and I don’t think it would cost THAT much since he’s a rental. An epic starting roatation, but still lacking an impact bat. I'd hate to get Scherzer, only to lose a lot of his starts 2-1, 3-1, etc. If we are going to have a rotation like that, or even if we stand pat with Woodruff, Burnes, and Peralta, we MUST add an impact bat, a guy that makes a true difference, not a Cron type.
  4. Just one more reason to dislike Baez tremendously. What a chump. That is 100% embarrassing.
  5. lol Ok then, that is good. However, Taylor is probably our 2nd best OF this season, it would be ridiculous to trade him at this point... (unless of course we got a much better OF option in return, which Ender is not)
  6. The Drew Carey Show is great! I have always had season one on dvd, and they have never officially released any of the other seasons. Well, I found the remaining seasons on a not so legit website, purchasded them for dirt cheap, and am enjoying the crap out of them...
  7. Taylor for Inciarte would be an horrendous crime... We simply don't need an OF, we should be trading one of JBJ and/or Cain, not adding another all defense OF to the mix. No way this is going to happen without other moving pieces. Please NO!
  8. Outfield depth? lol I really hope we aren't trying to aquire an OF when we have so many other needs...
  9. Why? We already have 2 guys with no place to play them (JBJ and Cain) why would we need Enciarte?
  10. Keep Small, and trade Ashby please... I can live with Ashby being traded, not that it would make me happy, because it wouldn't, but I 100% don't want to trade Small.
  11. That is just plain lazy on their part. If someone offered a trade for Yelich at this point and would take that contract, we'd have to do it...
  12. Omar Narváez will get a day off on Saturday against the White Sox. Narváez has started six of the Brewers' last eight contests. Manny Pina will handle the catching duties in his absence on Saturday night. RELATED: Manny Pina SOURCE: EDGE Lineups Jul 24, 2021, 2:54 PM ET
  13. But we'll never know until he actually gets some consistant playing time...
  14. Probably not the best plan, he looked really bad tonight in Appleton...
  15. Agreed, with Bryant's flexibility though he's a great fit for pretty much anyone. Also it's one thing for the Brewers and Cubs to make a trade for Chafin or other inconsequential piece, but to trade for one of the faces of their franchise for the better part of a decade doesn't seem realistic. In general, I would be fairly surprised if we ended up landing one of the top bats on the market. Jose Ramirez or possibly Whit Merrifield seem the most likely. Could also see us bringing back Aguilar. Ramirez is NOT most likely.........AT ALL!
  16. Seems Feliciano is now the guy we toss into all trade offers...
  17. According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, "some rival teams" believe the Rangers will not trade Joey Gallo before next week's deadline. Gallo is said to be drawing interest from several clubs -- most notably the Padres -- as one of the premier power bats on this year's trade market, but the Rangers do have him under team control through 2022 and might take another shot at signing the 27-year-old slugger to a long-term contract extension. Gallo, a two-time All-Star, has delivered an .893 OPS with 24 home runs and 52 RBI through 89 games this season for Texas. 18. Rizzo has not been that great the last two seasons now. Is he our answer at the cost he will surely demand?
  19. Why on Earth would they want Cron? His OPS at Coors Field is .955. His OPS at all the other stadiums is .682. The Brewers would be better if mixing and matching Tellez, Peterson, Hiura and Vogelbach than acquiring CJ Cron to play first base. I'm not saying I want to go out and get Cron, I am saying that is the kind of guy we will end up with. Watch and see...
  20. Yelich at 1B? Ever seen him play there before?
  21. Add me to the no Archer camp. I was scared to death we were going to get him. Like you, I wanted nothing to do with him.
