  1. The current strategy has brought us Hiura, Woodruff and Burnes. The Rays, Blue Jays and the Dodgers have been doing this for years and it seems to have been working out well for them. Drafting based on the position that they play is just a bad idea it is a bad idea in the NFL and it is a bad idea in MLB. Always draft based on the players talents and not based on what your team needs especially in the early rounds. If you want to go position shopping do it in the later rounds. To be clear, I am not advocating drafting based on position...
  2. It wouldn't bother me in the least if I never see another Garcia at bat in a Brewers uniform...
  3. No thanks on drafting based on position it generally doesn't work all that well. Well, to be fair, neither does our strategy...
  4. 2000 hits or not, Molina is still a punk.
  5. You do realize Burnes is hurt, right? Was he to start the game? Oh that's right, I forgot you insinuated that he might have been faking the injury to overshadow the fact he had a rough night... That is comical.
  6. You do realize Burnes is hurt, right?
  7. D"Amico wasn't ready for the bright lights either...
  8. I wonder if he would be open to it at some point?
  9. 2 hours and 45 minutes and we are not through the 6th inning yet... Anyone know what the average game time is this year?
  10. I get what you are saying, but had he pitched a perfect game, we would have won 1-0. Just saying...
  11. I'd also like to add that I can handle missing the playoffs too, but not at the hands of the freaking Cardinals... I'd rather lose out to the Cubs than the Cardinals.
  12. I mean, Woodruff and Burnes in a 3 game series gives us a definite chance, but Woodruff/Houser, or Woodruff/Anderson, or Woodruff/Lindblom really just puts things into perspective if we find a way in...
  13. Since he is probably an average OFer, and is a huge target, is it at all possible that he could play some 1B in the near future? I have no idea if he has ever played a single inning in the infield since probably high school ball, but that could solve our lack of prospects at 1B at some time in the future.
  14. So if we scrape into the playoffs somehow, and Burnes is forced to miss a start, our chances of winning the first series, no matter who we match up with, just took a big time hit. Yup, I stand by my previous statement, 2020 sucks.
  15. Nah, they just aren't ready for the "bright lights."
  16. Odds are probably no, but this is 2020, so they could score another 10 runs, or they could not register a single hit the rest of the game... So you’re saying that they might score runs or they might not score runs Gotcha exactly...lol
  17. Nice backtrack, and he hasn't won a Cy Young. Just stop. There is no backtrack. It was a disappointing start for a guy that looked like he might be ready to be the guy. I guess we will now wait for next season to see where that head is at if we get in these types of games again. Once again, he is/was hurt, has nothing to do with his head. Why do you want to die on that hill?
  18. Odds are probably no, but this is 2020, so they could score another 10 runs, or they could not register a single hit the rest of the game...
