Well, play-off baseball is better than no play-off baseball, my only hope is that we don't embarrass ourselves on national tv. No Burnes and Vogelbach is going to hurt. I think Gamel might be back by Wednesday?

They will probably be doing us a favor by letting the Giants win, I still want to back in but really with Burnes out and this offense we are toast. How would they be doing us a favor? I'd rather make it and lose 55-0 twice in a row than not make it. meh, not me... I don't need that kind of stress.

Maybe someone on this board can use sabremetrics to make us all feel better about that horrible, non-competitive at-bat by Hiura. the most annoying thing on that strike three pitch is if he gives up a little bit on the swing he could probably have hit that ball very hard in the right. But instead he swung so damn hard he had no chance to hit it. Is there a chance that someone on the coaching staff, anyone, has talked to him about over swinging with 2 strikes? I mean, he does it consistantly. You would think that he has at least had that conversation with at least one member of the coaching staff 100 times this year, right?

Hiura is not a very big target at 1B. Yes, I realize Prince wasn't very tall either, but so far, Hiura is no Prince Fielder.
