  1. Who didn't see this coming with the glorification and legalization of gambling in pro sports? Real shocker.
  2. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that “the Brewers are planning to keep” Freddy Peralta. There have been plenty of trade rumors swirling around Peralta, but the 29-year-old is signed for just $8 million next year, which is a major bargain. There is a chance the Brewers could look to trade him in the middle of the season if they are unable to contend, but, for now, it appears unlikely that Peralta will be on the move. Source: USA Today

  4. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that free agent OF Kyle Tucker “will sign with the Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays or Los Angeles Dodgers,” according to multiple GMs. Tucker is the top free agent hitter on the market and will likely command the biggest deal. The Dodgers and Yankees both have openings in the outfield with Michael Conforto and Cody Bellinger now free agents, respectively. It will be interesting to see if any other teams can get involved in the bidding. Related Source: USA Today
  5. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that “it would be a huge surprise” if Jarren Duran is with the Red Sox “come spring training.” The Red Sox have a full outfield with Roman Anthony, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Wilyer Abreu. They also have Jhostynxon García and Kristian Campbell at Triple-A, so the 29-year-old Duran certainly seems like the odd man out. Nightengale reports that “the Red Sox believe that they need an upgrade over Duran, and that he needs a fresh start.” His name seems likely to come up in rumors all offseason as the Red Sox look to acquire an impact starting pitcher. 6. The usual suspects... *sigh* Yeah, baseball isn't broken, when the only teams mentioned for all the big name free agents, are always the same ones... No one else even has a chance... *double sigh* Mark Feinsand of MLB.com speculates the Cubs, Dodgers, Yankees, Giants, Phillies and Mets are potential suitors for free agent Kyle Tucker. Feinsand notes that the Cubs will take a shot at retaining Tucker, while the Dodgers and Yankees represent a pair of big-market clubs with the financial resources and corner outfield vacancies to get involved in the sweepstakes surrounding the offseason’s most coveted position player. He adds that the Giants and Phillies would be landing spots if they decide to shake things up this offseason, while the Mets could be a landing spot if they’re unable to bring back Pete Alonso. The -year-old fantasy stalwart finished this past season with an .841 OPS along with 22 homers and 25 steals over 136 games as a hairline fracture in his right hand adversely impacted his on-field performance throughout much of the summer. It’ll be interesting to see whether he winds up settling for a short-term pact with an opt-out to potentially hit the market again in the near future.
  7. No one is forgetting about Mitchell, he just can't be counted on................................for anything......................EVER!
  8. Nope, not at all... We are pretty thin there as I just outlined in my post above.
  9. I don't think we are that well stocked at OF anymore. There was a time when we all thought we were loaded there (Mitchell, Wiemer, Frelick), but things change pretty quickly. We definitely can use the help in the OF because who is up next from the minors? Lara, but he isn't going to help a lot with the bat. Payne, hasn't sniffed A+ ball yet, so he's a ways away from helping the MLB team. After those two, we have no one else that is close to coming up and making an impact in the near future. Unless I am missing someone, we are thin at OF prospects that will have an impact in the next couple of years. Look at our current OF. Collins, Chourio, Frelick, Perkins, and I suppose loosely you can include Yelich (though I think that ship has sailed) Is Collins going to be the guy he was in the first half or was that a mirage? Chourio and Frelick are pretty much locks. Do we want Perkins starting for an extended period of time? After those 4, what do we have for 2026? Lockridge? Pass... I think we could easily add a big bat outfielder to this line-up, and yes, I do think it is a NEED not a luxury.
  10. Good to know, it's on my short list!
  11. Really enjoyed Bugonia!
  12. Man, with Woodruff's injury history, that would be a risky game to play. You could be right, but I'd rather have them both, and anything Woodruff offers is just gravy!
  13. Interesting. Does tis mean they will not be in on the Japanese 3B that will be posting. Ohtani takes up their DH spot, so if they pick up another 3B from Japan, Muncy will be nothing more than bench fodder. Maybe late inning pinch hitting duties... Wondering if they may use him for trade bait? I just can't imagine them not throwing their hat into the ring for one of the Japanese 3B this winter.
  14. Is Fielder a true prospect, or just coasting along on his Daddy's name? Seriously, is he someone we need to keep an eye on?
  15. Duran played primarily in LF in 2025. Duran's numbers weren't that great this past season. In fact, his stat line was down in almost every category. Worse in hits, homers, doubles, runs, stolen bases, OBP, OPS, and slugging. Batting average took a major hit down to .256 from .285 the year before. Also, he struck out more with fewer at bats than 2024. 2025 he struck out 27%, 2024 he struck out 23%. Be nice to get a guy in the OF that has 30 HR potential, and I don't think Duran is that guy hitting only 16 in 2025.
  16. Fan Duel is part of my TDS package, I don't have to use an app. Never have an issue, except for all the times the games are on prime, apple, or whatever other streaming service ruins it for specific games.
  17. Duran has already been discussed in another thread. He just had a down year, so maybe he's a possibility since Boston is going to have a crowded OF with many options. Duran could be the odd man out if they can get a decent trade package for him.
  18. That comment is just plain weird... Anyway, since you commented, so you think that money is not an issue in signing Wilson Contreras? You are with Redd, we can just pay 40 million for a guy like Wilson, on the downside of his career when we already have Vaughn, who more than likely will exceed anything Wilson has to offer at a fraction of the cost? You think money is not an issue? Seriously? Anyone that posts that money is not an issue when it comes to the Milwaukee Brewers signing anyone is just a little bit out of touch with this team and how it operates. Dude...
  19. Nah, if you watched a full show, he does plenty of that, and has a sense of humor as well. I like him.
  20. Why do you think the Phils would do Bohm for Ortiz straight up? Any evidence of such nonsense?
  21. LOVE this show! I don't watch it much during the season (there's only so many baseball hours per day), but it's my go-to baseball show in the off season. AJ, and Kratz are awesome, and I love the fact that they tell it like it is and don't sugarcoat anything. Any other watchers out there?
  22. I have a lot of hats, I wear them probably 80% of the time I leave the house. I especially love the New Era 39THIRTY caps because of the profile and quality, however, over time, they tend to stretch out, and not fit very well. Once that happens, they feel too loose. Anyone have any tricks to tighten them back up?
