  1. Eugenio Suárez (hand) is starting at designated hitter and batting cleanup against the Tigers on Wednesday. Suárez missed Tuesday’s game after being hit in the hand on Monday, but he’s back on Wednesday. It’s a crucial step for him to show teams that he’s healthy, so the Diamondbacks can swing a deal for him ahead of Thursday’s deadline. 7m ago
  2. Thank you...
  3. That is partly true, I can't lie. However, if we are going to part with top prospects (which is our lifeline since we don't dabble into the free agent pool for the big guys) then it better be for better players than Ryan "freaking" O'Hearn. I hate rentals that cost us players that have 5+ years of team control. Rentals can have a sneaky way of not working out, and that just doesn't sit well with me.
  4. Francys Romero reports that the Astros “continue to see Eugenio Suárez as a potential trade target and may increase their pursuit in the coming hours.” With Isaac Paredes (hamstring) out for an extended period of time, the Astros are looking for replacements at third base. They’ve been linked to both Suárez and Carlos Correa, and it remains to be seen how aggressive they will be in filling that gap in the lineup. Related Houston Astros 18m ago Source: Francys Romero
  5. Eugenio Suárez is out of Arizona’s lineup Tuesday after leaving Monday’s game with a right hand contusion. Suárez was hit by a pitch last night, and we assume that’s the reason for his absence, though it’s also possible it’s because a trade is in the works. X-rays last night came back negative. 6. All of this!
  7. Just because we over-paid for our new back-up catcher, doesn't mean we should continue to over-pay for anyone else. Also, because he is one of the best bats available, doesn't mean he is worth what it costs to get him. If Carlos Santana is the best bat available, would you offer the same package that it would take to get O'Hearn? He may be the best bat available, but that doesn't mean he is worth what it would cost to land him. Pass.
  8. I'm out on O'Hearn, I'd rather roll with Vaughn and hope and pray the magic continues. I'm not putting guys like Henderson, Hardin, Myers, Patrick, Adams, Burke, etc on the table for this guy. He just isn't reliable, and not a big enough needle mover.
  9. Seriously, just a bad managerial decision to go with Yoho in a game of this magnitude. I don't dislike Murphy, I really don't, I just think he makes really bad choices at really bad times.
  10. Take him out. Dumb decision to go to Yoho here anyway. Huge game, not the time or place to try Yoho again.
  11. Suarez will probably sit until the deadline. AZ dodging a bullet, you can bet they were praying for a clean checkup. Any team interested should probably do their own x-rays though...
  12. Keep pouring the negativity on Contreras and Yelich, I think we reverse jinxed them.
  13. Dude, you are in the wrong place if you want logic when it comes to hating the Cubs. C'mon. That is a really silly question...
  14. Well, what were the odds the Cubs were going to score a bunch of runs against the Miz?
  15. Not a chance he'd have been taken, he is far from MLB ready.
