  1. Didn't Murphy say on record that Contreras wouldn't let Murphy bench him, or something similar to that? Do we even know if the finger is still bothering him?
  2. Murphy using his kids in the post game pressers to avoid being asked tough questions is ridiculous. Of course, I don't know if this is on purpose or not, but if it is, just stop it already. Honestly, it's annoying he has those kids there in the first place.
  3. Don't the mudcats know that when they bench all of Payne, Made, and Pena on the same night during trade season, we get nervous? Geez.
  4. This is a good young Marlins team who has been playing great baseball. This shouldn't be that big of a surprise that they are going after us. Did everyone here expect them to just lay down and die? Their season isn't over yet.
  5. BA with yet another over-reaction on Chourio's routine flyball. If he called more games here, he'd realize which balls were flyballs off the bat, and which ones were homers.
  6. If you want to get rid of it, I'm a buyer, or have a lot of stuff to trade if that's your thing!
  7. Same. These guys aren't young anymore, let them catch a breath between pitches. Geez
  8. Tough to trade in the division, plus, I don't want to give up anything to the Cardinals that can come back and bite us the next few seasons.
  9. I wouldn't trade Logan Henderson straight up for Josh Smith. Smith isn't a guy that makes our chances of the World Series any better than it is now. Dude is nothing more than a utility guy. Pass.
  10. Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports that the Mariners still consider Eugenio Suárez their top priority after acquiring Josh Naylor from the Diamondbacks on Thursday. The Mariners weren’t able to get a deal done for Suárez on Thursday, as the competition for his services is believed to be much steeper than it was for Naylor, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still trying. Adding both of the Diamondbacks’ sluggers would go a long way to fortifying the middle of a lineup that already features Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez. Related Source: Daniel Kramer
  11. Nah, money talks. He'll be long gone by 2026 opening day, to think otherwise is just fooling yourself.
  12. Man, that is a severe overpay for a guy like Smith. This looks like we are willing to overpay and are desperate. Smith can do a lot, true, but what can he do well enough that he pushes us to a World Series appearance? If we give up a package like that for Josh Smith, who is nothing more than a utility guy for the next 3 years, that is complete and total failure on our front office.
  13. If Suarez can be had for that package, then we won't get him, many teams can and will beat that offer. By the way, it's CorteS...
  14. I might physically be sick if this happens. Gross.
  15. MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports the Reds and Diamondbacks have discussed a potential Eugenio Suárez trade. Feinsand adds that sources have called it “a long shot” that a deal comes together between the two clubs involving Suárez, who is second in the National League with 36 home runs this season. Arizona’s decision to pivot towards the future got a lot easier after they were swept this week in a three-game series against the Astros. Feinsand notes that they’re shopping Suárez, Josh Naylor, Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly, all of whom are set to reach free agency in the offseason. Source: Mark Feinsand
  16. I'm pretty happy you guys are not our GM.
