  1. Ok, obviously I'm in the minority on the subject judging by all the thumbs down reactions. I was just hoping for a little humbleness and appreciation towards the fans when they showed up in Appleton. It's not like these are seasoned vets who have been dealing with fans and signing things for them for 10 years or so. These are 18 year old kids who you'd think were still able to enjoy the adoration shown by fans. Like I said, it hasn't been an issue with players in the past, even guys like Monte Harrison, who was a dick to fans, but still signed for them...
  2. Again, it was their demeanor that was disappointing. had you seen it, you'd know what I'm talking about.
  3. You'd be surprised at all the young kids that follow the Brewers minor league players, especially since they now come through Appleton. Have you been to a game to witness it? Have you been to an autograph Sunday game, where all (well, 90% ) of the players come out after the game to sign? I think you are probably a little naïve if you think the youngsters don't know who Made and Pena are, especially the super fans that age!
  4. Maybe so, but no other players act like that. I've been going to T-Rats games for 2 decades, and I've never seen players act like this. I mean seriously, a bunch of kids go to the stadium at 8:00 am in hopes of meeting two superstar prospects, and they can't even get acknowledged? Just completely ignored? There wasn't a mob of people being rude and endangering them, it was a handful of people... Of course players are not required, but just out of pure decency you'd think they could sign a ball for a few people. All the other players do it, what makes these two so special they can't, or won't? You call me entitled? I could say that they are entitled to think they owe fans nothing. The same fans that support them and will get them their big pay-days which are surely coming. Whatever, I guess if maybe you had seen their demeanor it might have allowed you a different opinion, or not... Still going to root for them as long as they are Brewers property, but I expected better...
  5. The vibe they gave off was pure arrogance, sorry to say...
  6. We have a lot of players come through Appleton with language barriers, never seems to stop any of them from fan interaction when it comes to signing autos. They knew what the fans wanted, and yelling their names in any language should be the same. They simply didn't want to lower themselves to having to sign anything for the people who love them. Like I said, it was pretty disappointing seeing this behavior from such young guys. Just didn't sit well.
  7. Not to be a downer, but I'm going to share this here in case anyone is planning to make the trek to Appleton in hopes of getting a Made and/or Pena autograph. I know some people who went to the stadium this morning at 8:00 am, hoping to catch the two of them on their way into the stadium. He said there was about 6 or 7 people waiting for an autograph when they showed up with their agents (or bodyguards) in tow. Neither player even looked in the direction of the people waiting for a sig, they completely ignored them. They were asking them to sign, and they refused to even acknowledge their presence. Completely ignored them. If that wasn't enough, I was at this afternoon's game. There were roughly 10 people waiting by the dugout for Made and Pena to get their autograph. I witnessed this one, so I know it to be true. When they walked out of the dug out to go out and get loose with teammates, all the kids started yelling their names excitedly, hoping they would come over to sign. Again, both players 100% completely ignored them. Didn't even look their way. It was obvious that they had no intention of signing for anyone. Figured they might stop on their way back to the dugout like most players who are summoned for autos. Nope, same exact thing. They wouldn't even bother to look over. Kids were yelling their names, nothing. IGNORED yet again. Is this how 18 year old phenoms treat their fans? I've been going to games for years, but have never witnessed this kind of rudeness from players before. They knew damn well there were people looking for autos, but they couldn't even bring themselves to look in their direction. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't like there was a mob of people looking for an auto, it was a really small group, just hoping to get a sig from our star players... I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that given their behavior today, they won't even bother to come out and sign autographs on Sunday this weekend for autograph Sunday. I had heard that neither of them like to sign, but they didn't sign one auto today, for anyone. Not even one! Pretty disappointing. Anyone in Carolina notice the same thing there? Did they sign for people?
  8. Maybe let Sal rest the hammy for the rest of this game? Seriously, don't push it. He doesn't know how to go anything other than 100%.
  9. .500 2-2 1-2 in AZ 1-0 at home.
  10. As is often the case, which is why I hate trading top prospects for rentals.
  11. He DID leave years ago... We are his #2, or 3, or 4, or whatever... What loyalty has he shown? He shows up every couple of weeks, does a couple of games, isn't truly informed about all the intricacies of the team that an every day guy is. He was one of the better broadcasters out there when he was full time, but now, he's just a guy who seems to fill in occasionally. I'd rather have 2 guys in the booth daily than all this stuff we are experiencing this season. Never know who will be in the booth on a nightly basis. Yeah, he's good at what he does, but to me, it feels like he has put the Brewers on the back burner for a couple of years now, what kind of loyalty is that?
  12. Gosh this saddens me, and I've never even been there. Was planning a trip in 2026 to Biloxi and Carolina, guess I waited too long. Oh well, the new park will have to do.
  13. Brewers signed RHP Julian Merryweather to a minor league contract Merryweather opted out of his minor league deal with the Mets at the beginning of August, and now he’ll add organizational depth to the Milwaukee pitching staff. The Brewers will need to add him to the 40-man if they deem him worthy of the active roster. Transaction 32m ago
  14. Runnin' Ron Roenicke. Or RRR as referred to here on the boards...
  15. I was NOT on board with trading what it would have taken to get him, however, had he been traded here, the circumstances that have had him hitting .107 in Seattle wouldn't have been the same as the circumstances in Milwaukee. Just can't even have that conversation to be honest. I'd like to say I told you so though...lol
  16. The Home Got a free random ticket via Fandango, so for free, why not go? Every once in a while they send me a free ticket to a specific movie. Kind of like that concept. Recently saw the Surfer and Fight or Flight for free too. It was ok, Pete Davidson did a great job actually, I had my reservations... If you like horror movies, I can't see why you wouldn't like this one, but I don't view it as a must see movie.
  17. Players slump, it happens to every single one of them. If they want to get rid of him, we'd take him!!
  18. Exceptional coverage tonight boys. Man, I appreciate this daily thread. I don't post much in these threads, I just admire and appreciate what happens here...
  19. Not a chance in the entire world Freddy doesn't start game one or game two. Just not going to happen.
  20. Good teams find ways to win these kind of sh** show games... It's not all smooth sailing, sometimes you have to pull a rabbit out of your butt to hang on.
