  1. ^ you are not wrong. I think at times there are arguments here just to argue...
  2. *sigh* this is probably accurate. *double sigh*
  3. Why is BA jinxing a Santana HR right now? SHUT UP!
  4. Too bad Granderson doesn't have a cannon, he'd have gotten him...
  5. Or, why not bring in Arcia at SS and move Schoop back to 2B when Shaw went out. Hard to believe I'd want Arcia in, but he has been a lot better recently. I'm, just not fond of Perez or Broxton getting at bats when we desperately need offense. Is saving Santana and Braun to pinch hit a better plan than sending them in the game for multiple at bats over Broxton? Ok, I'll leave it alone now, just don't like the moves made on the offensive side tonight.
  6. Oh for sure. Seems like most of the damage done against him was when he was brought in to face a lefty with a couple guys on, and he promptly let them score...ALL of them. lol
  7. yup, Broxton hitting in a clutch situation and he strikes out on a pitch 2 feet out of the zone. Broxton shouldn't be hitting in meaningful at bats for the rest of this season. Defensive sub, yes. Pinch running, yes. Nothing more.
  8. jinx amazing we just posted almost the exact same thing at the exact same time.
  9. Could we not have moved Yelich to CF and subbed in Santana instead of Broxton? I have no confidence in his bat at all, not even a little bit. Now we have Broxton and Perez in our 3 and 4 hole. yuk
  10. Do most of Anderson's homers happen in the first inning? Sure seems like it.
  11. Counsell slamming Red Bull in the dugout. lol
  12. I can't look at their logo without thinking of Taco Bell... As if I need another reason to think about Taco Bell.
  13. Haven't heard from the mice in a few days now. They were so noisy at night, but all night time noise has ceased. The bait he used for the mice is a sure thing, so I think that issue is done. We have removed 4 squirrels so far, and there is at least one more who refuses to come out into the trap. Eventually, he'll starve and die. We have seen him stick his head out into the trap several times, but retreat back. He looks very nervous. Hunger should eventually draw him out depending how much food his Mom had stored up. Only one adult so far, she was the first one out a couple hours after the traps were installed. Just the young so far after her. Our guy said there would b 3 - 6 young ones, 3 caught, and for sure one more, so he was right on target.
  14. Is the fact that the Mallards play there a deterrent for the city? Do they think they could support two baseball teams? If given the choice, I would think the Mallards would die if we brought an actual Brewers minor league team to Madison. I'm with you though, Madison would be a great spot for a team, and they could literally shuttle players back and forth if needed. That's why having the T-Rats is so great for the organization. Players drive up the road for re-hab starts, and t-rats fans get to enjoy seeing actual Brewers players in their back yard.
  15. With the days off every two games, I am only keeping 11 guys in the pen. Being able to go with less pitchers, allows to keep bats on bench just to pinch hit. So you are not necessarily picking the full roster based on how heavy they are for starters. You want to be able to pinch hit against their tough guys in the pen. (Jansen and Strop actually neutral/reverse splits) 4SP: Chacin, Miley, Anderson, Gio 7Pen: Jeffress, Hader, Burnes, Soria, Cendeno, Knebel, Woodruff/Davies 2: Kratz, Pina 5: Moose, Arcia, Schoop, Shaw, Aguilar 4OF: Yelich, Cain, Braun, Granderson 3Bench: Thames, Broxton, Santana I could get on board with this, if you take Perez over Thames. I know people don't like Perez but he's been pretty good against lefties and they need his versatility on defense. Being able to plug him in as a defensive replacement pretty much anywhere late in the game really gives CC some flexibility as far as pinch hitting, pinch running, etc. No disagreement on Perez and his versatility, but CC can't seem to stop himself from starting him more often than he should.
  16. I feel like Santana has far more upside than Broxton. If he can regain his 2017 form, an outfield of Yelich, Cain and Santana would be unbelievable. Yes, in theory, that sounds great, but we still have Braun on the roster, and probably always will...
  17. Braun at 1B and Domingo in RF... Get Santana in that line-up and see if he can carry those pinch hits into a start...
  18. I kind of thought you were kidding with that mascot picture, but it's legit. Oh man, that is just awful. Name change please. At the very least, mascot change.
  19. I hereby nominate a picture of Tim Dillard dressed like a priest. They already have a perfectly fine mascot in the Ballapeño UGGGHHHH! That is not cool.
  20. So glad to get out of CS... Will they be changing their nickname, or are we stuck with Missions?
  21. I have never in my life heard MIP referring to improvement from one half a season to another. It's always from the previous season(s). and I have never heard of MIP meaning most IMPORTANT player. Seems redundant to most VALUABLE player.
