Word. Villar wasn't going to see regular playing time with the Brewers, that is and was obvious. I don't know why he got himself into bad graces with CC, but he did, and his play with us was going to be a non factor. Glad he is having success with Baltimore, I'll be pulling for the guy... -
Many here thought they were done after losing 5 to the Pirates before the break. But they are keeping the heat on, and here we are in August neck-and-neck with the Cubs. And this is with a very flawed underachieving offense. If these guys can get things figured out, the starters can continue to do what they've been doing, and the pen continues to be strong, this is a team that can do damage in the playoffs. I agree with everything you just said, but that is a lot of "ifs." *nervous laugh*

Bullpen management has been an issue in my eyes. CC got lucky the first half, everything he did seemed to work, not so much the last month or so. I want to understand some of his reasoning, but I just don't.

I'm impressed that Guerra got it done, and more impressed that CC decided that starting pitchers CAN go more than 5 innings with a low pitch count. Well done!

Way too sad to laugh. They just keep pouring it on and there are 2 more innings of this to get through, actually one, they will have no need to bat in the bottom of the 9th........obviously.

and people made fun of the Nationals/Mets game the other night. This is an absolute embarrassment. Oh well, tomorrow's another day. Get Braun out of there... He doesn't need to be in a game like this for any reason.

It's hard to believe a MLB infielder can't just lob a strike7 out of 10 pitches. He isn't using any velocity, just aiming for the strike zone. Aiming is probably the issue.

Who's a Knebel "hater"? The guy had a 5.25 ERA in July. I just didn't want to battle back from 4-2 down to see him blow it. We have been spoiled by our pen. Rough patches happen. Knebel has been so good in his Brewer career and yet no faith at all in him even though his stuff is as electric as ever. It’s a bit overblown IMO Your lectures are overblown. IMO. The guy has been shakey at best recently.
