  1. thats enough to beat us since we only have a starting lineup that goes 4 deep. Obviously DS knows this. They just cant put a playoff product on the field. Fun while it lasted. Gettin ready for football. Tired of watching a team that refuses to fire a pitching coach whose hitters set new yearly SO records. Why would they fire their pitching coach when they set a record for striking out offensively? How odd. Go watch old Packer tapes then, we baseball fans will be just fine without you.
  2. yup, that is more than likely the case. Have you guys ever spent time with teenage boys? I mean a group of teenage boys that you are not the parent of? Nothing they do or say surprises me anymore... You can say as many times as you want that "they should know better" or "they should know wrong from right," but the mob mentality, and the things they do to impress their peers is mind boggling. Teenage boys, even as old as 17 and seniors in high school just aren't that smart...
  3. Have you ever been a teenager? he literally probably has no idea why he posted them. It's been beaten to death, but we all did and said things as a teenager that we would have no clue now as to why we did them. It's such a ridiculous wringer this guy is being put through, being held accountable for things he said 7 years ago as a 17 year old kid. This world is out of control and I truly hope that all those judging him, especially those who made his tweets go public, are somehow, some way held accountable for their youth as well. He made a mistake, he is paying the priice, time to move on rather than look for ways to ruin him.
  4. Yeah, makes us look stupid as a fanbase. He had no control where he ended up, so the boo birds are just plain ignorant.
  5. agreed. 26 pitches on Tueday should not make him unavailable on Friday. Get him back out there and see what happens. Counsell has already said straight up he's not pitching tonight. I know, and that should not be the case unless there is an injury concern.

  7. But we would still have to worry about a 2B and at least one starting pitcher if this were to happen. I'm not sure this kind of a trade puts us any more ahead of where we would be if we just hang onto Hiura, our 2B of the future, and Woodruff, who just really needs to be part of our rotation now! Kind of like robbing Peter to pay Paul, or something like that.
  8. Now compare our line-up with the Cubs daily line-up, the team we are trying to catch. Or don't, you'll be happier if you don't.
  9. Be careful... You are bordering on “Debbie Downer” status here! Lol. Btw, I completely agree with you. #sadtrombone Thanks for adding to the conversation.
  10. Let's face it, if we have to continue to trot that line-up out there or one similar on a daily basis, there is no possible chance that we can remain in the chase for a wild card spot, much less a play off spot. This may seem like a negative take, and that bothers some around here, but just look at that mess. This is what we throw out there when we just have a break, get to reset the line-up, etc? It's depressing is what it is. Why is Wade Miley the guy we go to after the break? Why? That line-up 6-8 is just pathetic for a MLB club. I'm not including Saladino in that statement, he has been fine, but at #5 in the line-up? I'd be really happy to have a guy like him hitting 7 or 8. (of course I hope I am jinxing myself and Miley fires off 7 innings of 1 run ball tonight)
  11. Dude... He struggled after his all star game nomination, but I don't think 7 games counts as a concerning issue. All star game is done, hopefully he has his head back in the games that matter. This is baseball.
  12. I don't even understand his existence on the roster so I'm probably not a good judge of why he is starting the first game out of the break. Maybe the just want to make sure he really does suck and don't want to wait until later in the week for that determination. Must just be a case of "veteran grittiness."
  13. watching this for replies, I had no idea there was even such a thing as ventless dryers.
  14. Me neither. Which means he's throwing 7 shutout innings tonight. Because baseball. Oh how I hope you arre correct. Speaking selfishly, I need a win tonight.
  15. When is the last time Braun has been hot for a week or two? lol
  16. Is this about the third stretch now where folks were talking about Aguilar falling back to earth? I don't understand this either... Is he supposed to hit a 3 run homer every night, go 3 for 4 and provide our only run support? If not, is he falling back to earth? Just ridiculous.
  17. My only question is why is Wade Miley our first starter after the break. This is a time when you get to reshuffle your rotation order, and Miley is the guy we want to make this first start? I don't understand.
  18. I wouldn't do those two for Dozier, but that would have been a good deal for Machado. It would have hurt, but I could have lived with it.
  19. That would have hurt, but believe it or not, I would have been fine with it.
  20. His ERA has jumped the past 3 years. His WHIP has gone the same direction, UP! Hits per 9 innings, yup, UP! His ERA is 4.41 this season. WHIP is at 1.381 this season. Strike-outs per 9 innings is more than 2 less than last year. He walks a ton of guys, and gives up a LOT of home runs. Is this an upgrade in any way at all. Unless he comes cheap, REALLY cheap, I still want nothing to do with him. Hopefully Stearns feels the same way.
  21. Just say NO to Cole Hamels, he offers nothing that we don't already have. HARD PASS!
  22. I'd puke if it were Medieros too.
  23. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Brewers could target Brian Dozier in trade talks. The Brewers were involved in the Manny Machado sweepstakes, but ultimately couldn't offer -- or wouldn't offer -- what the Dodgers were willing to procure the services of the All-Star shortstop. Dozier started slow, but he's been excellent as of late, and the second baseman has 16 homers and 48 RBI over 93 games with the Twins. He could give the Milwaukee lineup a big boost, and shouldn't have near the cost Machado did. Rosenthal also mentions that the Brewers could look for pitching help, and they should have enough in the system to explore both. Source: Ken Rosenthal on Twitter Jul 18 - 8:27 PM
